Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Priorities Survey Report: The Medical System and the Uninsured
Presents results of a survey on the healthcare system, priorities for reform, and views on the uninsured, a public insurance plan, and individual mandates, compared with other surveys. Analyzes how the way reform elements are described affects responses
THE EXPECTED COST OF AN INCOME SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR PROCESSING ORANGES
The Florida citrus industry operates in a competitive global market. However, unlike program crops, producers in this industry do not benefit from direct income support under the new Farm Bill. There is concern about the impact of elimination of the orange juice tariff on the financial health of the Florida orange industry. The purpose of this paper is to examine the level of government expenditure that would be needed to provide income support to orange producers if the orange juice tariff were eliminated. For the span of the Bill direct payments to corn are estimated to total 300 million and would fall below 925 million but would decline to about 1,538.5 million with retention of the tariff and $4,721.8 million if the tariff were eliminated.income support program, oranges, tariff, FSRIA, Agricultural and Food Policy, Crop Production/Industries,

Gauge Independence of Limiting Cases of One-Loop Electron Dispersion Relation in High-Temperature QED
Assuming high temperature and taking subleading temperature dependence into
account, gauge dependence of one-loop electron dispersion relation is
investigated in massless QED at zero chemical potential. The analysis is
carried out using a general linear covariant gauge. The equation governing the
gauge dependence of the dispersion relation is obtained and used to prove that
the dispersion relation is gauge independent in the limiting case of momenta
much larger than . It is also shown that the effective mass is not
influenced by the leading temperature dependence of the gauge dependent part of
the effective self-energy. As a result the effective mass, which is of order
, does not receive a correction of order from one loop, independent
of the gauge parameter.Comment: Revised and enlarged version, 14 pages, Revte

A feasibility study of a hypersonic real-gas facility
A four month feasibility study of a hypersonic real-gas free flight test facility for NASA Langley Research Center (LARC) was performed. The feasibility of using a high-energy electromagnetic launcher (EML) to accelerate complex models (lifting and nonlifting) in the hypersonic, real-gas facility was examined. Issues addressed include: design and performance of the accelerator; design and performance of the power supply; design and operation of the sabot and payload during acceleration and separation; effects of high current, magnetic fields, temperature, and stress on the sabot and payload; and survivability of payload instrumentation during acceleration, flight, and soft catch
Knowledge Sharing Through MS SharePoint
Microsoft SharePoint is being used in Government, private, public and association offices throughout the United States. SharePoint was created to increase accountability for projects within a team environment. How could SharePoint help increase accountability in information management? This article will review SharePoint’s positive and negative characteristics in the hopes of helping information professionals understand what SharePoint really is in the information world and how it can be applied to libraries and other information management organizations
Behavior of logarithmic branch cuts in the self-energy of gluons at finite temperature
We give a simple argument for the cancellation of the log(-k^2) terms (k is
the gluon momentum) between the zero-temperature and the temperature-dependent
parts of the thermal self-energy.Comment: 4 page
