The Improvement Program in Nonrelativistic Lattice QCD

Progress in the improvement program in nonrelativistic lattice QCD is outlined. The leading radiative corrections to the heavy-quark mass renormalization, energy shift, and two important kinetic coupling coefficients are presented. The reliability of tadpole-improved perturbation theory in determining the energy shift and mass renormalization is demonstrated.Comment: 3 pages in uuencoded-compressed-PostScript format, to appear in the Proceedings of LATTICE 93, Dallas, USA, October 1993; Edinburgh Preprint 93/53

Glueball Masses in Relativistic Potential Model

    Get PDF
The problem of glueball mass spectra using the relativistic Dirac equation is studied. Also the Breit-Fermi approach used to obtaining hyperfine splitting in glueballs. Our approach is based on the assumption, that the nature and the forces between two gluons are the short-range. We were to calculate the glueball masses with used screened potential.Comment: 7 pages, LaTe

Perturbative Matching of Heavy-Light Currents with NRQCD Heavy Quarks

We present further results for one-loop matching of heavy-light axial and vector currents between continuum QCD and a lattice theory with NRQCD heavy quarks and massless clover quarks.Comment: LATTICE98(heavyqk

The Heavy Hybrid Spectrum from NRQCD and the Born-Oppenheimer Approximation

The spectrum of heavy-quark hybrids is studied in the leading Born-Oppenheimer (LBO) approximation and using leading-order NRQCD simulations with an improved gluon action on anisotropic lattices. The masses of four hybrid states are obtained from our simulations for lattice spacings 0.1 fm and 0.2 fm and are compared to the LBO predictions obtained using previously-determined glue-excited static potentials. The consistency of results from the two approaches reveals a compelling physical picture for heavy-quark hybrid states.Comment: LATTICE99(Heavy Quarks),3 pages,2 figures, uses espcrc2.st

A one-loop matching calculation between Lattice NRQCD and full QCD for the heavy-light axial current is described and the effects on f_B are discussed.Comment: Talk presented at Lattice '97, Edinburgh, July 1997. 3 LaTeX pages plus 2 postscript figures. Uses espcrc2.st

    Excitations of torelon

The excitations of gluonic flux tube in a periodic lattice are examined. Monte Carlo simulations from an anisotropic lattice are presented and the comparison with effective string models is discussed.Comment: Talk at Lattice 2003; 3 pages, 4 figure

The QCD String Spectrum and Conformal Field Theory

The low energy excitation spectrum of the critical Wilson surface is discussed between the roughening transition and the continuum limit of lattice QCD. The fine structure of the spectrum is interpreted within the framework of two-dimensional conformal field theory.Comment: Lattice2001 (confinement),3 pages,1 figure, uses espcrc2.st
