The impact of located pollution on aquatic phytocénoses is studied around 12 cities discharge. Nine of them are fitted out purification plant. The sampling method is based on consecutive segments from upstream to downstream. On each sector, vegetation records are realized in homogeneous water runoff facies, which are characterized by physical factors as well as water value measures. The whole discharge leads globally to an increase of conductivity, ammonium amount, nitrates and orthophosphates. The consequence of that is a decrease of Callitriche hamulata and Myriophyllum alterniflorum phytocénoses, a development of Ranunculus peltatus, Callitriche platycarpa and cryptogams species like Leptodictyum riparium or Melosira sp.A Component Principal Analysis applied on data, distinguishes phytocénoses belonging to upstream sectors (Scapania undulata, Chiloscyphus polyanthus) from the ones of discharges (Callitriche platycarpa, Leptodictyum riparium, Melosira sp.).A Canonical Correspondence Analysis validates the impact of physico-chemical water quality on vegetation. Conductivity, ammonium amount, nitrates and orthophosphates become more preponderant in comparison with physical environments usually discriminant for phytocénoses installation in Limousin rivers
The Radiated Energy Budget of Chromospheric Plasma in a Major Solar Flare Deduced From Multi-Wavelength Observations
This paper presents measurements of the energy radiated by the lower solar
atmosphere, at optical, UV, and EUV wavelengths, during an X-class solar flare
(SOL2011-02-15T01:56) in response to an injection of energy assumed to be in
the form of nonthermal electrons. Hard X-ray observations from RHESSI were used
to track the evolution of the parameters of the nonthermal electron
distribution to reveal the total power contained in flare accelerated
electrons. By integrating over the duration of the impulsive phase, the total
energy contained in the nonthermal electrons was found to be
erg. The response of the lower solar atmosphere was measured in the free-bound
EUV continua of H I (Lyman), He I, and He II, plus the emission lines of He II
at 304\AA\ and H I (Ly) at 1216\AA\ by SDO/EVE, the UV continua at
1600\AA\ and 1700\AA\ by SDO/AIA, and the WL continuum at 4504\AA, 5550\AA, and
6684\AA, along with the Ca II H line at 3968\AA\ using Hinode/SOT. The summed
energy detected by these instruments amounted to erg;
about 15% of the total nonthermal energy. The Ly line was found to
dominate the measured radiative losses. Parameters of both the driving electron
distribution and the resulting chromospheric response are presented in detail
to encourage the numerical modelling of flare heating for this event, to
determine the depth of the solar atmosphere at which these line and continuum
processes originate, and the mechanism(s) responsible for their generation.Comment: 14 pages, 18 figures. Accepted for publication in Astrophysics

Problèmes relatifs à l'étalonnage d'un spectromètre à grilles à haute résolution
The conditions to be fulfilled by a wavelength calibration set are examined and the experimental device adopted for the ONERA dual-grille spectrometer is exposed. Several portions of the ν4 band methane of the spectrum are commented.
We study the propagation of a light pulse through a birefringent multimode optical fibre, in state of stimulated Brillouin scattering, with respect to excitation conditions and polarization. Experimentally we establish that a sharp attenuation of the trailing edge and strong backscattering result from one watt incident power. A theoretical model, based on spatial modulation of the dielectric constant, give a good description of the experiment.
We study the light polarization dependence of Raman scattering in a birefringent optical fibre. We show that it is possible to deduce the depolarized spectrum. This was impossible with normal fibres which do not conserve the polarization. 450 and 50 cm-1 bands appear as strongly polarized and depolarized, respectively.
We study the stimulated Raman backscattering of a quasi monochromatic light pulse travelling in a birefringent optical fiber. The backscattered spectrum contains several 450 cm-1 shifted Stokes lines with a temporal compression factor of ten and a polarization dependance with the excitation power. The main experimental features are explained with a Raman gain formalism taking into account the polarization of each wave.
We study spontaneous Raman scattering in ZrF4-BaF2 fluorozirconate glass fiber. A main band at 580 cm-1 and five weaker bands are observed, each band have been assigned to motions in a structural unit assembly. We compare stimulated Raman scattering gain in fluorozirconate and silica fibers.
