Meteor trail drift research based on baseline observations
We analyze the results of a rare long-lived quasisymmetric ellipsoidal-annular meteor trail recorded on November 18, 2017 by two optical all-sky cameras, spaced at a distance of 150 km. The analysis is based on astrometric processing results with the use of baseline measurement methods. We determine spatial-kinematic characteristics of the meteor trail, and find features of its evolution. The ignition and extinction heights of the meteor were in the range 75β120 km. The estimate of the meteor brightness gives the absolute magnitude value of about β7.3m. It is shown that the distribution of all parts of the long-lived meteor trail occurs in the same plane at a height of ~90 km at a speed of ~320 m/s and, apparently, cannot be a consequence of an air mass movement. The total time of the meteor trail observation was more than 30 min. We offer possible explanations for the results obtained in the context of upper atmosphere processes
Study of neutron response and n-gamma discrimination by charge comparison method for small liquid scintillation detector
The study of the neutron response and n-gamma discrimination for small
(18x26x8) mm3 liquid scintillator BC501A (Bicron) detector was carried out by
digital charge comparison method. Three ranges of neutron energies were used:
uniform distribution from 0.95 MeV to 1.23 MeV, continuous spectra of AmBe
source and monoenergetic 16.2 MeV neutrons. The obtained results are compared
with those for cylindrical liquid scintillation detector (40 mm diameter, 60 mm
length) at the same energies of neutrons. A dramatic fall of the neutron
response function at 400 keVee for small detector at 16.2 MeV neutron energy
was measured. For (0.95 - 1.23) MeV neutron energy range such fall takes place
at 260 keVee. The greater slope of neutron locus at (0.95 - 1.23) MeV neutron
energy comparing to 16.2 MeV for both detectors is explained by longer tail of
pulse from proton recoils within (0.1-1.23) MeV energy range.Comment: submitted to Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Phys. Res. Sect.
Morphofunctional state of spleening under light desynchronosis in the experiment
Aim: to study the effects of light desynchronosis on the morphofunctional state of the spleen of white male rats. Material and Methods. The study of light desynchronosis was carried out on 48 male rats using the Light Light model with an illumination power of 300 Ix in the daylight and 500 Ix in the dark. The laboratory animals in the experiment were divided into four groups: the control and three experimental ones, in which they were exposed to light for 1 day, 10 days, 21 days respectively. In the course of morphometry of histological sections of the spleen, the following parameters were assessed: the area of white pulp lymphoid follicles, B- and T-clependent zones of white pulp, the number of germinative centers and immunoblasts in B- and T-zones. Results. On day 1 of the experiment, an increase in the area of the lymphoid follicle, periarterial and B-dependent zones, an increase in the number of immunoblasts and reproduction centers was registered. By the 10th day there was a partial restoration of these indicators relative to the control values. On the 21st day of the experiment, a decrease in the growth dynamics of all the morphometric parameters of the spleen was observed. Conclusion. Light desynchronosis induces by the Light Light model leads to the development of the pathology of the immune system with an extensive shift of all measurable indicators. Key words: morphofunctional state of the spleen, morphometric criteria, light desynchronosis, immunity.</p
Semileptonic B decays into even parity charmed mesons
By using a constituent quark model we compute the form factors relevant to
semileptonic transitions of B mesons into low-lying p-wave charmed mesons. We
evaluate the q^2 dependence of these form factors and compare them with other
model calculations. The Isgur-Wise functions tau(1/2) and tau(3/2) are also
obtained in the heavy quark limit of our results.Comment: 11 pages, 2 figure
Chromodynamic Weibel instabilities in relativistic nuclear collisions
Employing a previously derived formulation, and extending the treatment from
purely transverse modes to wave vectors having a longitudinal component, we
discuss the prospects for the occurrence of Weibel-type color-current
filamentation in high-energy nuclear collisions. Numerical solutions of the
dispersion equation for a number of scenarios relevant to RHIC and LHC suggest
that modes with (predominantly transverse) wave numbers of several hundred MeV
may become moderately agitated during the early collision stage. The emergence
of filamentation helps to speed up the equilibration of the parton plasma and
it may lead to non-statistical azimuthal patterns in the hadron final state.Comment: 11 pages, RevTex, 13 (e)ps files (revised for PRC

It is established that oxidative stress induces insulin resistance of adipocytes, increases secretion leptin, IL-6, TNF-Ξ± by adipocytes. Adiponectin secretion by adipocytes is reduced after the action of reactive oxygen species. Metabolic syndrome contributes to oxidative stress in adipose tissue, on the one hand due to the activation of production of reactive oxygen species by adipocyte NADPH-oxidase, and on the other hand by reducing the antioxidant defense adipocytes. It is found that obesity itself can induce oxidative stress. Chronic stress, glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids, angiotensin-II, TNF-Ξ± play an important role in the pathogenesis of oxidative stress of adipocytes. Metformin remains the cure for the treatment of insulin resistance. The positive results in the treatment of metabolic syndrome by losartan were obtained. Antioxidants and flavonoids exhibit a positive impact on the course of the experimental metabolic syndrome.Π£ΡΡΠ°Π½ΠΎΠ²Π»Π΅Π½ΠΎ, Higher Spins from Tensorial Charges and OSp(N|2n) Symmetry
It is shown that the quantization of a superparticle propagating in an N=1,
D=4 superspace extended with tensorial coordinates results in an infinite tower
of massless spin states satisfying the Vasiliev unfolded equations for free
higher spin fields in flat and AdS_4 N=1 superspace. The tensorial extension of
the AdS_4 superspace is proved to be a supergroup manifold OSp(1|4). The model
is manifestly invariant under an OSp(N|8) (N=1,2) superconformal symmetry. As a
byproduct, we find that the Cartan forms of arbitrary Sp(2n) and OSp(1|2n)
groups are GL(2n) flat, i.e. they are equivalent to flat Cartan forms up to a
GL(2n) rotation. This property is crucial for carrying out the quantization of
the particle model on OSp(1|4) and getting the higher spin field dynamics in
super AdS_4, which can be performed in a way analogous to the flat case.Comment: LaTeX, 21 page (JHEP style), misprints corrected, added comments on

Thomson and Compton scattering with an intense laser pulse
Our paper concerns the scattering of intense laser radiation on free
electrons and it is focused on the relation between nonlinear Compton and
nonlinear Thomson scattering. The analysis is performed for a laser field
modeled by an ideal pulse with a finite duration, a fixed direction of
propagation and indefinitely extended in the plane perpendicular to it. We
derive the classical limit of the quantum spectral and angular distribution of
the emitted radiation, for an arbitrary polarization of the laser pulse. We
also rederive our result directly, in the framework of classical
electrodynamics, obtaining, at the same time, the distribution for the emitted
radiation with a well defined polarization. The results reduce to those
established by Krafft et al. [Phys. Rev. E 72, 056502 (2005)] in the particular
case of linear polarization of the pulse, orthogonal to the initial electron
momentum. Conditions in which the differences between classical and quantum
results are visible are discussed and illustrated by graphs
Supersymmetric non-linear sigma-models with boundaries revisited
We study two-dimensional supersymmetric non-linear sigma-models with
boundaries. We derive the most general family of boundary conditions in the
non-supersymmetric case. Next we show that no further conditions arise when
passing to the N=1 model. We present a manifest N=1 off-shell formulation. The
analysis is greatly simplified compared to previous studies and there is no
need to introduce non-local superspaces nor to go (partially) on-shell. Whether
or not torsion is present does not modify the discussion. Subsequently, we
determine under which conditions a second supersymmetry exists. As for the case
without boundaries, two covariantly constant complex structures are needed.
However, because of the presence of the boundary, one gets expressed in terms
of the other one and the remainder of the geometric data. Finally we recast
some of our results in N=2 superspace and discuss applications.Comment: LaTeX, 23 page
