    Quantum Wronskian approach to six-point gluon scattering amplitudes at strong coupling

    We study the six-point gluon scattering amplitudes in N=4 super Yang-Mills theory at strong coupling based on the twisted Z_4-symmetric integrable model. The lattice regularization allows us to derive the associated thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA) equations as well as the functional relations among the Q-/T-/Y-functions. The quantum Wronskian relation for the Q-/T-functions plays an important role in determining a series of the expansion coefficients of the T-/Y-functions around the UV limit, including the dependence on the twist parameter. Studying the CFT limit of the TBA equations, we derive the leading analytic expansion of the remainder function for the general kinematics around the limit where the dual Wilson loops become regular-polygonal. We also compare the rescaled remainder functions at strong coupling with those at two, three and four loops, and find that they are close to each other along the trajectories parameterized by the scale parameter of the integrable model.Comment: 30 pages, 8 figures; (v2) a reference adde

    Upper Lumbar Pedicle Screw Insertion Using Three-Dimensional Fluoroscopy Navigation:Assessment of Clinical Accuracy

    We used a navigation system to insert 128 pedicle screws into 69 vertebrae (L1 to L3) of 49 consecutive patients. We assessed the pedicle isthmic width and the permission angle for pedicle screw insertion. The permission angle is the angle defined by the greatest medial and lateral trajectories allowable when placing the screw through the center of the pedicle. The rate of narrow-width pedicles (isthmic width less than 5mm) was 5 of 60 pedicles (8%) at L1, 4 of 60 pedicles (7%) at L2, and none (0%) at L3, L4 and L5. The rate of narrow-angle pedicles (a permission angle less than 15 degrees) was 21 of 60 pedicles (35%) at L1, 7 of 60 (12%) at L2, 3 of 60 (5%) at L3, and none (0%) at L4 and L5. Of 128 pedicle screws inserted into 69 vertebrae from L1 to L3, 125 (97.7%) were classified as Grade 1 (no pedicle perforation). In general, the upper lumbar vertebrae have more narrow-width and -angle pedicles. However, we could reduce the rate of pedicle screw misplacement in upper lumbar vertebra using a three-dimensional fluoroscopy and navigation system

    How does credit access affect children\u27s time allocation? Evidence from rural India

    Using a unique dataset obtained from rural Andhra Pradesh, India that contains direct observations of household access to credit and detailed time use, results of this study indicate that credit market failures lead to a substantial reallocation of time used by children for activities such as schooling, household chores, remunerative work, and leisure. The negative effects of credit constraints on schooling amount to a 60% decrease of average schooling time. However, the magnitude of decrease due to credit constraints is about half that of the increase in both domestic and remunerative child labor, the other half appearing to come from a reduction in leisure

    Operando analysis of graphite intercalation compounds with fluoride-containing polyatomic anions in aqueous solutions

    The formation of graphite intercalation compounds (GICs) in aqueous solutions has attracted much attention, but reversibility in the formation/deformation of GICs is a challenging issue to construct highly safe rechargeable batteries. In this study, we used an operando analysis (X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy) to discuss the feasibility of using fluoride-containing polyatomic anions in the formation of GICs in aqueous highly concentrated solutions. We found that the intercalation of anions containing a C₂F₅ moiety (such as [N(SO₂CF₃)(SO₂CF₂CF₃)]⁻ or [N(SO₂CF₂CF₃)₂]⁻) does not occur in the bulk of graphite, but only in the surface region. In addition, anions containing a CF₃ moiety show different behaviors: SO₃CF₃⁻ shows greater reversibility and larger stage-number than N(SO₂CF₃)₂⁻ in the formation of GICs. These results provide design guidelines for the reversible intercalation and de-intercalation of anions and their application as a cathode material in aqueous rechargeable batteries

    Background: The outcome of road traffic injury (RTI) is determined by duration of prehospital time, patient’s demographics, and the type of injury and its mechanism. During the emergency medical service (EMS) prehospital time interval, on-scene time should be minimized for early treatment. This study aimed to examine the factors influencing on-scene EMS time among RTI patients. Methods: We evaluated 19,141 cases of traffic trauma recorded between April 2014 and March 2020 in the EMS database of the Nara Wide Area Fire Department and the prehospital database of the emergency Medical Alliance for Total Coordination of Healthcare (e-MATCH). To examine the association of the number of EMS phone calls until hospital acceptance, age ≥65 years, high-risk injury, vital signs, holiday, and nighttime (0:00–8:00) with on-scene time, a generalized linear mixed model with random effects for four study regions was conducted. Results: EMS phone calls were the biggest factor, accounting for 5.69 minutes per call, and high-risk injury accounted for an additional 2.78 minutes. Holiday, nighttime, and age ≥65 years were also associated with increased on-scene time, but there were no significant vital sign variables for on-scene time, except for the level of consciousness. Regional differences were also noted based on random effects, with a maximum difference of 2 minutes among regions. Conclusions: The number of EMS phone calls until hospital acceptance was the most significant influencing factor in reducing on-scene time, and high-risk injury accounted for up to an additional 2.78 minutes. Considering these factors, including regional differences, can help improve the regional EMS policies and outcomes of RTI patients.博士(医学)・甲第880号・令和5年3月15

    The Influence of Truncal Vagotomy on Acute Gastric Mucosal Lesion in Obstructive Jaundice

    With a view to examining the influence of truncal vagotomy on acute gastric mucosal lesion (AGML) in obstructive jaundice, the authors prepared the non-vagotomized group and the vagotomized group of rats with obstructive jaundice. Further, cold restraint stress was loaded on the two groups for 30 min, and the following results were obtained: 1) The incidence of AGML in the vagotomized group before stress was inhibited to 17% in both the 3-week group and 4-week group, as compared to 33-38% in the non-vagotomized group. The incidence of AGML in the vagotomized group after stress was inhibited to 17% in the 3-week group and 33% in the 4-week group, as compared to 78% in the non-vagotomized group. 2) Gastric mucosal histamine (HA) contents in the vagotomized group before stress in both the 3-week group and the 4-week group were significantly increased (p < 0.05) as compared with the levels in the non-vagotomized group. As concerns gastric mucosal serotonin (5-HT) contents, however, no significant difference was noted between both groups. The contents of both amines in the gastric mucosa in the non-vagotomized group, a significant decrease (p < 0.05) was observed in both the 3-week group and 4-week group after stress, while in the vagotomized group no significant changes were found

    Clinical Accuracy of Three-Dimensional Fluoroscopy (IsoC-3D)-Assisted Upper Thoracic Pedicle Screw Insertion

    Correct screw placement is especially difficult in the upper thoracic vertebrae. At the cervicothoracic junction (C7-T2), problems can arise because of the narrowness of the pedicle and the difficulty of using a lateral image intensifier there. Other upper thoracic vertebrae (T3-6) pose a problem for screw insertion also because of the narrower pedicle. We inserted 154 pedicle screws into 78 vertebrae (C7 to T6) in 38 patients. Screws were placed using intraoperative data acquisition by an isocentric C-arm fluoroscope (Siremobile Iso-C3D) and computer navigation. Out of 90 pedicle screws inserted into 45 vertebrae between C7 and T2, 87 of the 90 (96.7%) screws were classified as grade 1 (no perforation). Of 64 pedicle screws inserted into 33 vertebrae between T3 and T6, 61 of 64 (95.3%) screws were classified as grade 1. In this study, we reduced pedicle screw misplacement at the level of the C7 and upper thoracic (T1-6) vertebrae using the three-dimensional fluoroscopy navigation system
