A-statistical approximation by Jayasri operators
In this study we investigate the A- statistical approximation properties of a sequence of the Jayasri operators. Also we consider the degree of the A-statistical approximation of the sequence of these operators
Bilgi-Belge Merkezlerinin Yönetimi: Türkiye’deki Literatüre Yönelik İçerik Analizi
The main aim of this study is to analyze reflections of the information and documentation center studies on the library literature in Turkey. Based on this aim, the articles which had been published in “Türk Kütüphaneciliği” and “Bilgi Dünyası” journals between the years of 2000-2008, was analyzed with content analysis method. The main finding of this study is the easily observable increase of information management center studies in the analyzed years. The most examined subject related to the information and documentation center is planning, the least examined subject related to information and documentation center is controlling. The articles which were analyzed were mostly the theoretical articles
Weighted Approximation by a Certain Family of Summation Integral-Type Operators
AbstractIn this study, we investigate the weighted approximation properties of a general sequence of summation integral-type operators introduced by Srivastava and Gupta [1]. We estimate the rate of convergence of these operators for functions of polynomial growth in terms of weighted modulus of continuity on the interval [0, ∞)
Quantitative estimates for a certain bivariate Chlodowsky-Szasz-Kantorovich type operators
In this paper, we introduce a bivariate Kantorovich variant of the combination of Chlodowsky and Szasz type operators and study local approximation properties of these operators. We estimate the approximation order in terms of Peetre’s K-functional and partial moduli of continuity. We also give some numerical error estimates and illustrations
COULD AFFECTIVE TEMPERAMENT PREDICT OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE SYMPTOM DIMENSIONS?
Background: In this study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between affective temperament characteristics and obsessive-
compulsive disorder (OCD) symptom dimensions and severity.
Subjects and Methods: 100 patients diagnosed with OCD and 100 healthy controls by random sampling method were included
in the study. SCID-5-CV was administered to all participants. Dimensional Obsessive-Compulsive Scale (DOCS), Temperament
Evaluation of Memphis, Pisa, Paris, San Diego Autoquestionnaire (TEMPS-A), Beck Anxiety (BAI), Depression Inventories (BDI) were
provided to all participants. p<0.05 was taken as statistically significant.
Results: It was found that cyclothymic temperament predicted all OCD symptom dimensions except contamination dimension,
and predicted the OCD severity. Moreover, irritable temperament predicted the OCD symmetry dimension.
Conclusion: In our study, the first study in terms of scrutinizing the relationship between symptom dimensions of OCD and
affective temperament, it was revealed that irritable and cyclothymic temperament significantly predicted the dimensions of OCD, and
cyclothymic temperament was associated with OCD severity. Affective temperaments appear to make a remarkable contribution to
OCD heterogeneity
Approximation by Bernstein-Chlodowsky operators of max-product kind
We dene the max-product (nonlinear) Bernstein-Chlodowsky operators andobtain some upper estimates of approximation error for some subclasses of functions. Wealso investigate the shape-preserving properties for these operators
Solution of Leakage Problem in a Guarded Hot Plate Device
AbstractThe conduction heat transfer coefficients of the fibrous insulation materials depend on temperature, especially under high temperature conditions. In this study, the device, called guarded hot plate (GHP), measuring the heat transfer performance of insulation materials under high temperature conditions is improved. Circulation of the cooling fluid inside aluminum cold plates is optimized by numerical results. To prevent leakage of the fluid, metal pipes are inserted into the conduits aiming the fluid to circulate throughout these pipes. Following the design, the cold plates are manufactured and the computational results are validated by the experimental ones. By the new designed cold plate, the system operates and achieves validated measurements for the thermal conductivity of the fibrous insulation materials, under high temperature conditions
Determination and evaluation of acidity constants of some imidazole and thiazole linked acetamide compounds
In this work, the effect of substituents on the acidity constants of some acetamide derivatives was investigated. The acidity constants of nine acetamide derivatives were determined at 25 °C using a UV spectrophotometric method. When the molecules possessed different substituents the values of the acidity constants changed from 6.01 to 8.22 for the first protonation and from 3.07 to 4.73 for the second protonation. The first protonation under these circumstances was observed to occur on the nitrogen atom of the 2-mercaptoimidazole ring. The second protonation was observed to occur on the nitrogen atom of the thiazole ring
