In the crystal structure of the title compound, C4H10NO+·C6HCl2O4 −·CH4O, the components are held together by bifurcated O—H⋯(O,O), O—H⋯(O,Cl) and N—H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bonds into a centrosymmetric 2+2+2 aggregate. The aggregates are further connected by another bifurcated N—H⋯(O, O) hydrogen bond, forming a double-tape structure along the b axis. A weak C—H⋯O interaction is observed between the tapes

Study of the drawing experience in "Mother and Child Drawings" using PAC Analysis <Article>

The drawing method is widely used in practical scenes of clinical psychology, and attention is being drawn to its therapeutic effects. This study conducted an interview survey using PAC analysis to demonstrate what type of drawing experience can be found in the drawing method, with a focus on "Mother and Child Drawings." As a result, it was demonstrated that the narratives about the internal mother-child relationship of the person who draws, the actual mother-child relationship, the family relationship, or the values of the person who draws could be obtained through conducting Mother and Child Drawings. Also, as a factor due to which various narratives were obtained, it was observed that introspection could easily deepen using PAC analysis, which has a stage of free association. Based on the above, it was suggested that when conducting a Mother and Child Drawing in a practical scene of the clinical psychology, it is therapeutically useful for the person who draws to reflect on their drawing with the interviewer by means of PAC analysis

The use of graphite oxide to produce mesoporous carbon supporting Pt, Ru, or Pd nanoparticles

    Get PDF
Mesoporous carbon having platinum, ruthenium or palladium nanoparticles on exfoliated graphene sheets were produced from graphite oxide (GO) and metal complexes. The Pt included carbon was made by heating of the intercalation compound including tetraammineplatinum (II) chloride monohydrate. Samples having Ru or Pd are producible by heating in nitrogen gas atmosphere using hexaammineruthenium (III) chloride or tetraamminepalladium (II) chloride monohydrate instead of Pt complex. The particle sizes of platinum, ruthenium, and palladium were, respectively, 1–3, 1–2, and 3–7 nm. The platinum- or palladium-containing sample showed catalytic activity for oxygen reduction

Immunohistochemical Analysis of CXCR4 Expression in Fibrohistiocytic Tumors

Functional chemokine receptors are expressed in many malignant tumors. These receptors promote tumor growth and metastasis in response to endogenous chemokines. We analyzed the expression of CXCR4, CCR6 and CCR7 in fibrohistiocytic tumors, including dermatofibrosarcoma protuberance (DFSP), malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH), dermatofibroma (DF) using immunohistochemistry. We also investigated the relationship between CXCR4 and CD34, the latter of which is an immunohistochemical marker for DFSP. We observed a higher expression of CXCR4 in DFSP and MFH as compared with DF. Interestingly, a significantly higher expression of CXCR4 was detected in relapsed DFSP than in non-relapsed DFSP, but no significant differences were detected between non-relapsed DFSP and DFSP with CD34 immunostaining. Moreover, MFH had strong immunoreactivity for CXCR4, CCR6 and CCR7. These findings suggest that the assessment of CXCR4 immunoreactivity in fibrohistiocytic tumors is a useful tool for predicting tumor aggressiveness

    On-Site Bridge Inspection by 950 keV/3.95 MeV Portable X-Band Linac X-Ray Sources

Many bridges around the world face aging problems and degradation of structural strength. Visual and hammering sound inspections are under way, but the status of inner reinforced iron rods and prestressed concrete (PC) wires has not yet been confirmed. Establishing a diagnosis method for bridges based on X-ray visualization is required to evaluate the health of bridges accurately and to help with the rationalization of bridge maintenance. We developed 950 keV/3.95 MeV X-band electron linac-based X-ray sources for on-site bridge inspection and visualized the inner structure of a lower floor slab. The information regarding wire conditions by X-ray results was used for the structural analysis of a bridge to evaluate its residual strength and sustainability. For more precise inspection of wire conditions, we applied three-dimensional image reconstruction methods for bridge mock-up samples. Partial-angle computed tomography (CT) and tomosynthesis provided cross-sectional images of the samples at 1 mm resolutions. Image processing techniques such as the curvelet transform were applied to evaluate diameter of PC wires by suppressing noise. Technical guidelines of bridge maintenance using the 950 keV/3.95 MeV X-ray sources are proposed. We plan to offer our technique and guidelines for safer and more reliable maintenance of bridges around the world
