Estrategias de educación ambiental para preservar la ciénaga de malambo

This research carried out a socio-environmental analysis of the Ciénaga Grande de Malambo to identify the factors that contribute to deterioration, the lack of environmental awareness of the residents of the village of El Espinal. Bodies of water and swamps around the world are in danger due to the great pollution problems to which they have been subjected in recent years. This swamp has been heavily degraded due to increased burning and felling of trees on the riverbank, but mainly due to pollution by dumping solid and liquid waste from the industrial sector, which has caused the disappearance of fish habitat and the consequent loss of the fishing activity that the settlers traditionally carried out. The participatory action methodology seeks for the population to obtain knowledge as a result of their own inquiries and actions, allowing results and knowledge to be obtained that transform from environmental pedagogy, the practices of the inhabitants and their environmental culture itself. The progressive community participation in cleaning and dredging activities of the streams that carry the waters to the swamp, led to environmental education strategies and a sense of belonging for the care of the swamp. they strengthen the care and preservation of the environment and the improvement of the conditions and quality of life of this population.  Esta investigación realizó un análisis socioambiental de la ciénaga Grande de Malambo para identificar los factores que contribuyen al deterioro, la falta de conciencia ambiental de los pobladores de la vereda el Espinal. Los cuerpos de agua y ciénagas en todo el mundo se encuentran en peligro debido a los grandes problemas de contaminación a los cuales han sido sometidos durante los últimos años. Esta ciénaga ha sido fuertemente degradada al incrementar la quema y tala de árboles en la rivera, pero principalmente por la contaminación por vertimiento de residuos sólidos y líquidos, provenientes del sector industrial, que ha causado la desaparición de hábitat de peces y la consecuente pérdida de la actividad pesquera que realizaron tradicionalmente los pobladores. La metodología de acción participación busca que la población obtenga los conocimientos como resultados de sus propias indagaciones y actuaciones, permitiendo obtener resultados y conocimientos que transforman desde la pedagogía ambiental, las prácticas de los habitantes y su cultura ambiental misma. La progresiva participación comunitaria en actividades de limpieza y dragado de los arroyos que llevan las aguas a la ciénaga, llevaron a estrategias de educación ambiental y sentido de pertenencia por el cuidado de la ciénaga. fortalecen el cuidado y preservación del medio ambiente y el mejoramiento de las condiciones y calidad de vida de esta población
