e-Participation Platform for Facilitating Citizens Involvement in Smart City Initiatives
The increase in the world population and the massive migration of the population to the urban
area give rise to new problems difficult to manage by the government and local authorities. In order to
maintain or enhance the quality of life while increasing the number of residents, ITC technologies can
be used to implement Smart City projects for the benefit of communities. A large number of citizens
feel a sense of commitment to their local area and have the desire to engage in activities to improve
the quality of life. E-Participation refers to the involvement of citizens in e-government processes.
This paper presents the design and development of a platform for citizen participation in Smart City
initiatives, whose primary purpose is to facilitate interaction between the citizen and the authority to
identify and establish Smart City projects of priority interest to the community
Comparative study of the agricultural sector in Romania and the main member states of the U.E.
To identify the problems faced by the Romanian agricultural sector and to identify viable development solutions, a comparative analysis of the competitiveness of the Romanian sector with the other member states of the European Union is necessary. In this regard, in the present research, a quantitative analysis of the statistical data taken from the Eurostat databases was performed, to determine the competitiveness of the sector compared to other Member States. The main technical-economic indicators from the last statistical publication (structural survey) from 2016 were analyzed. Following the determination of the positioning of Romanian agriculture, recommendations and solutions can be identified to develop it and increase competitiveness

Cetățeanul și provocările societății informaționale
From a digital perspective, the challenge of the 2018-2020 society possesses a digital skill
background that allows not only to fit into a particular job, but also to engage in the long-life education and
training system for individuals. Digital skills include: 1) the ability to search, collect, process information and
use it in a critical and systematic way; 2) The use of tools to produce, present and understand complex information; 3) The ability to access, search and use Internet-based services and 4) using the information society
technology to support critical thinking, creativity and innovation. To be digitally competent implies the
possession of knowledge, abilities and skills appropriate for information and communication technology. The
digital skill is one of eight key competences, implying a reliable and critical use of the entire ICT range in all
areas. Key competences are considered all equally important, because each of them can contribute to a
successful life in the knowledge society. This study aimed at highlighting the challenges of the information
society and presenting a model of competences that enables citizens to cope with the digital challenges
Research on expert opinion analysis on the influence of motivation factors on swimming and performance at the age of 9-10 years
The review of the findings of some studies carried out in the last 5-10 years has brought to attention various information about the training process and the physical preparation of children. Previous similar approaches have often been briefing in relation to children’s motivation for swimming, at least from the point of view of character. If there were some effects of motivation, they are either irrelevant or you didn’t target 9–10-year-old. Taking into account these aspects and based on the analysis of specialized literature, the present research started from the premise of promoting effective methods and techniques to stimulate the motivation of children aged 9-10 years to practice swimming
DETERMINAREA CALITĂȚII APLICAȚIILOR MOBILE PE BAZA MODULUI DE DEZVOLTARE
Abstract: Increasing the number of mobile devices brings an increase in applications developed for
these devices. The need for rapid penetration of the mobile application market forces management to
put pressure on development teams to launch applications ahead of competition. However, in order
to achieve the expected effect, it is necessary for the development process to take into account the
quality indicators for the development of mobile applications from the point of view of the users.
Within this article, based on the mobile application development features - legibility, modifiability,
regenerability, integrity and testability, it is demonstrated that they are interconnected and that it is
necessary to consider all the features to achieve a high quality mobile application. These features
were the basis for a questionnaire dedicated to app quality assessment. The questionnaire was
distributed to software developers and ordinary mobile application users. Based on the analysis of
the results obtained, two sets of weighting of the development characteristics were used that were
used to build the mobile application quality assessment metrics. This has resulted in the aggregate
indicator for mobile computing for developers and users
Study regarding the identification of the socialization level of pubertal children who practice swimming
Allocating short time to physical education classes in the curriculum, 2 hours per week, for students who do not have inclination and skills
Neumopericardio en un paciente joven con pericarditis tuberculosa
A 19-year old male presented in the Emergency Room complaining of dyspnea that progressively worsened in the previous week. He also reported asthenia and dry cough in the last month. Clinical exam showed altered general status, pale skin, polypnea, tachycardia at 124 heart beats/min, deafened heart sounds, blood pressure of 100/60 mmHg and jugular vein turgescence. Auscultation of the lungs revealed no abnormal findings. The chest X-ray showed the presence of air surrounding the heart with a sharply outlined pericardium (Panel A, arrows). The CT scan showed minimal pericardial fluid effusion and a remarkable pneumopericardium (Panel B). The patient was sent to the Thoracic Surgery Department where pericardial drainage was done. The biological exam of the pericardial liquid confirmed the suspicion of tuberculous pericarditis. ANAGRAMA JOBS-NEARBY – A CASE STUDY FOR A SMART CITY
With an estimated figure of 10 billion people by 2050, from which about 70% are or will be living in the cities, it is
obvious that the current infrastructure will be overloaded. As cities grow and expand their services, governance and
management are becoming more and more complex. As a consequence, cities need to be adapted to address the social,
economic, engineering, governmental and environmental challenges of these transformations. The cities need to
become smart to properly face the challenges. Even if the implementation costs are high, the smart cities increases the
economic standards in a medium-long term, reduces energy consumption, reduces transport costs and traffic values
and increases quality of life. The paper presents Jobs-NearBy, a solution by which the local job market gets a fast and
flexible tool to connect job-seekers and enterprises that are hiring in real-time. Job offers can be displayed on a map,
filtered by your location, skills or payment. The optional Community-Profiles allow to bookmark or share interesting
offers and provide an individual profile of participating job-seekers and enterprises
