    Get PDF

AN ECONOMETRICAL MODEL FOR CALCULATING THE ROMANIAN GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT

    Get PDF
This article analyzes the possibility of determining the Romanian Gross Domestic Product on the basis of a linear model, based on macroeconomic indicators such as unemployment, inflation, exchange rate. The proposed solution allows forecasting the Gross Domestic Product for the following period of time based on equation determined from the model in order to develop scenarios for improving the macroeconomic situation of Romania. The article also can be a starting point in the field of strategic investments, both at macro and micro level. Any foreign investor, before starting a business in another country, calculated and also made predictions about the economic situation of that country, in order not to lose the investment made.regression, GDP, inflation, unemployment, forecast

CLASSIFICATION OF EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES FROM DATA MINING POINT OF VIEW, USING SAS ENTERPRISE GUIDE

With the development of computers and the increasing the amount of data it appeared the need of identifying new acquaintances, unknown until that moment in a relatively short time. The term of data mining involves the analysis of data from different views (aspects) in order to extract the knowledge to use them further in the foundation of decisions at microeconomic or macroeconomic levels. In this article we apply data analysis techniques such as principal component analysis and cluster analysis in order to group the countries of the European Union based on the financial indicators registered at the end of 2009 year.classification, cluster, data mining, European Union, financial indicators

The effects of chronic manganese administration on blood pressure in rats

    Get PDF
Recently it was observed that several trace elements, including manganese (Mn), can affect the cardiovascular system and have been implicated in certain cardiovascular disease mechanisms. However, to date the effects of Mn on the vascular system, such as in the control of blood flow and blood pressure, are not completely understood. The main objective of the present study was to determine the effects of a 45-day exposure to two different doses of Mn, on blood pressure values of male Wistar rats. Our results show a significant time effect (p<0.001, ANOVA, repeated measures) on blood pressure during the 45 days of chronic Mn treatment with two doses of Mn (3 mg/kg/day; 10 mg/kg/day). Additionally, we observed significant differences in blood pressure, especially on days 2 (p<0.001), 9 (p<0.05), 24 (p<0.05), 28 (p<0.01) and 43 (p<0.05). Further studies are necessary in order to establish the mechanism and relevance of Mn

Female Archetypes in Panait Istrati’s Work

This study aims to highlight an important dimension of Panait Istrati’s work, the aspects of femininity in short stories and representative novels, created according to the exoticism of the Balkan environment evoked and the militant, idealistic nature of the writer, permanently open to the social problems of the beginning of the XXth century, interested in knowing the depths of the human being in general and otherness in particular. Sensitive to the affirmation and consolidation of the women’s emancipation movement, having the cult of friendship, freedom, beauty and truth, the narrative voices within Panait Istrati’s creation bring an unusual note by rewriting the archetypal patterns. Thus, the femme fatale, a tempting, passionate woman, but rejected by a hypocritical society, educates her children in the spirit of moral purity, even if life imposes other rules on her, an exception from a certain code of ethics. On the other hand, far from the well-known stereotype, the mother figure surprises through an atypical behavior, abandoning motherhood in favor of social commitment (the heroine/ outlaw woman) or adopting the shape of a brute that induces fear, anxiety or causes death of her own child. Regardless of the situation, the women in Panait Istrati’s work represent the expression of the craving to escape, incessant search, freedom of spirit and external display of the good, humanistic values the purpose of any existence

Aluminium/iron mixed oxides obtained by co-precipitation method

    Get PDF
In last years, various synthesis methods have been used for production of nanomaterials, composites/nanocomposites. For preparation of catalysts are used different methods such as hydrothermal, sol-gel and co-precipitation. Because Fe2O3 -Al2O3 mixed oxide system offer many advantages, its important to know if the combination of two transition metal oxides can affect their stoichiometry, surface, catalytic properties and textural structure. The aim of this study is represented by mixed of oxides who was obtained from the synthesis of aluminum nitrate and iron nitrate who was prepared by the co-precipitation method. Then, the characterization studies about the compounds obtained such as hematite, magnetite and the alumina were performed by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and UV-Vis spectrophotometry
