In a developing economy, the fastest and the cheapest solution for any firm which needs the growth of profitability using minimum costs seems to be an intelligent enforcement of production and sales solutions. Just In Time production seems to be a perfect choice for this. It has always had good results and it has been used all over the world. Its main advantages are: it minimizes the cost of holding inventories, it reduces transportation and inventory costs, it ensures that there is no waste from overproduction, it allows increased productivity because of shortened throughput time, production lead times are reduced and the firm can react more rapidly to demand changes. The result is a notable growth of economic efficiency.production management, quality management

THE CHANGES ON THE FIELD OF LOGISTIC ACTIVITIES

If logistics can be considered an assembly of methods, functions, and ways used by a company with the purpose of giving clients the goods taken at a low price and in a period of time according to clients’ expectations, taking into consideration the quantities settled by contract, we can say that, in a company, the logistics functionality contributes to coordination the offer by requiring the lowest costs, based on some strategic and tactics plans as well as keeping qualitative relations between suppliers and clients. Logistics can be said to represent the optimization of the company’s both fundamental cycles: the cycle-client (from order to delivery) and the project-cycle (from conception to use). From this point of view, this is an essential component of both the strategy and the companies’ organization. Some companies in West Europe have moved or created new production plants in Centre and East Europe, mainly in the new member states of the European Union (NOKIA from Germany to Romania, RENAULT from France to Romania, etc). This is based on some detailed research on the importance that a functional logistics of industrial platforms has taking into consideration both raw materials and clients’ satisfaction, who, more often than not is far from the production place.planning, distribution, management, supply, market

Embedded Banking Security Level Index and Aimed Control Template for Banking Systems – Implementation Evaluation Using the Vroom-Yetton-Jago Contingency Model

    Get PDF
An embedded Banking Security Level Index (B-SLI) and Aimed Control (AC) scheme for banking systems is proposed in this paper. In this design the B-SLI and AC anti money laundering techniques are fused together and used in sequence to expose a threat and subsequently ameliorate the security level of banking. The potential implementation of the B-SLI/AC template is then evaluated using the Vroom-Yetton-Jago contingency model. Study concludes that the B-SLI/AC scheme can be implemented as a focused collaborative effort that will increase the reporting entities willingness to commit to the anti money laundering effort. This approach draws on our previous research and it is part of the Idei_822 project.

An Optimization of the Risk Management using Derivatives

    Get PDF
This article aims to provide a process that can be used in financial risk management by resolving problems of minimizing the risk measure (VaR) using derivatives products, bonds and options. This optimization problem was formulated in the hedging situation of a portfolio formed by an active and a put option on this active, respectively a bond and an option on this bond. In the first optimization problem we will obtain the coverage ratio of the optimal price for the excertion of the option which is in fact the relative cost of the option’s value. In the second optimization problem we obtained optimal exercise price for a put option which is to support a bond

    R. V. Munyaneza: Pondering Canada\u27s First Core Crimes Conviction

    Get PDF
Canada recently completed its first genocide trial, which resulted in the conviction of the Rwandan accused, DesirĂ© Munyaneza, for crimes committed during the Rwandan genocide. While the case is still under appeal, it represents a significant success for Canada’s relatively new core crimes legislation, the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act, and was the first prosecution undertaken pursuant to that law. Drawing upon the Munyaneza case, the authors analyze the legislation and evaluate its effectiveness. They conclude that the model is an effective one that both bodes well for Canada’s future participation in the battle against impunity, and provides a model upon which other states might wish to draw

Efficient distribution of human and goods transport has always been an important element in maintaining the economic systems cohesion. Together with the economic and technological development, the purposes to attain this goal have considerably evolved. .The integration of the Centre, Eastern and South-Eastern European countries’ infrastructure in the European transport networks has as a main goal the promotion of networks’ interconnection and interoperability. This is done through concentrating upon some specific infrastructure routes located on the trajectory of 10 pan-European transport corridors, which pass through geographical zones in many countries, some of them EU members, and others undergoing a process of negotiation (Turkey). Pan-European Corridors will have immediate effects like: the growth of investments in infrastructure thanks to European funds – for developing countries, this will represent an important part as it welcomes a development of the economy, especially in crises; the favoring of conditions for the functioning and administration of globalization; the growth of cooperation both among Eastern countries and between such countries and Western countries; conditions for the recovery of economic differences between West and East; conditions for the recovery of the development in accordance with the policy of European countries and other candidate countries.corridor, transport, connections, efficiency, sector

Corporate Social Responsibility and its Macroeconomic Implications

    Get PDF
One of main concern of policy makers is pollution and hence the improvement of the environmental quality. The implementation of environment policies aims at improving life and product quality in order to replace those obtained by high polluting processes by less polluting ones. Countries having more strict environmental regulations are likely to suffer from a significant increase of their production costs. As a consequence these countries become less competitive on the international market and may lose their market share. In this context, an increasing attention was granted to the impact of environment policies on foreign trade. Our purpose in this paper is to investigate whether Corporate social responsibility introduced into Eastern European countries have led or not to a decline of exports towards the European Union (EU), and if so how much? This question is important since it is related to the preoccupation of EU new members to increase their exports and the quality of their products. Our econometric methodology based on recent developments of panel data techniques allow us to control for unobservable heterogeneity and hence to get robust empirical robust. Our results highlight a moderated impact of environmental regulations on foreign trade.environmental regulations; trade policy; gravity equation; competitiveness.
