    Get PDF
Banks are functioning in a complex economic environment, which becomes increasingly dynamic whenever the competition gets stronger. The risks implied by the banking activity have a multiple determination, starting from the specific features of their own operations, to the features of the internal and external environment. Under the Basel Agreement, the operational risk is approached depending on the category of events in which it is included. The Basel II Agreement uses three measuring methods: a fixed percentage (15%) of the average anual bank income (over the last three years), a variable percentage (between 12 and 18%) of the gross bank income (corresponding to the category in which the bank is included) and a combined methos based on the validity of the bank income. The operational risk management system involves 4 key-processes: identification, assessment, analysis and control – reduction of the risk. Each key process operates with relatively standardized measures.Basel Agreement; operational risk; measuring method; operational risk management; relatively standardized measures.

Methodological approaches based on business rules

Business rules and business processes are essential artifacts in defining the requirements of a software system. Business processes capture business behavior, while rules connect processes and thus control processes and business behavior. Traditionally, rules are scattered inside application code. This approach makes it very difficult to change rules and shorten the life cycle of the software system. Because rules change more quickly than the application itself, it is desirable to externalize the rules and move them outside the application. This paper analyzes and evaluates three well-known business rules approaches. It also outlines some critical factors that have to be taken into account in the decision to introduce business rules facilities in a software system. Based on the concept of explicit manipulation of business rules in a software system, the need for a general approach based on business rules is discussed.methodology, business rules.

Knowing the importance of the integration process of graduates of higher economic studies on a labour market that is becoming more and more demanding, as well as the fact that professional objectives realistic defined represent an essential demand of performance, the present paper aims to determine the relevance of personal decision capacities as a favouring factor of a concrete career option for economist students. Our research is based on information and statistical data obtained through applying tests and questionnaires on economist students from licence and master studies form three universities: University of Oradea, The West University of Timişoara and "Ştefan cel Mare" University of Suceava, in the project called PRACTeam "The practice of economist students. Inter-regional partnership on the labour market between universities and the business environment" Project co-financed through the Social European Fund, Through the Operational Program Human Resource Development 2007 - 2013 - "Invest in people!". In essence we leave from the premises that the professional option reflects a specific side of individual's personality which does not choose only for a certain occupation but, implicitly for a certain lifestyle. As a diagnosis approach we assume axiomatic the thesis according to which the high level of congruence between the individual psychological availabilities and the occupational environment raises the satisfaction chance and professional success. The approach that we submit is an interdisciplinary one, as well as the research team formed of two economists and a psychologist. Our study proposes to identify the correlation between the individual decision ability of the subject and the compatibility between a specific interests set of abilities identified on the basis of individual tests. Also, on the basis of processing the results obtained of economist students at the personality tests, we will try to argument explaining the option of some subjects for professions that demand individual qualities that their personality does not imply at the level asked.labour market, profession option, economist students, career

The Situation Of The Long Term Unemployment In Bihor. From Illusion To Reality

    Get PDF
In the Bihor County has been created in the last years the „myth” of a very low unemployment rate (values under the EU average). Trans-border migrations, the existence of an important labor force in the agricultural sector, especially in the case of subsistence agriculture are just a few aspects behind this myth. The long term unemployment is also an important aspect that needs a realistic investigation. The necessary and inevitable reformation of the regional economy will determine in the immediate future major challenges in the employment sector. The present work aims, besides the investigation of the theoretical and operational approach of the long term unemployment in Romania and EU, to analyze the apparently favorable situation of the long term unemployment in Bihor County on the last three years, with the purpose of identifying the real problems and to do the delineation of a strategy that could determine active measures adapted to the situations and to the individual needs identified. The work presents preliminary research results from the “eWork today”, – project financed through PHARE 2005 Programme in order to adapt/orient the active labor force at the requirements of the informational society. The data used have been offered by virtue of an accord of collaboration, in the mentioned project, by the Bihor County Agency for Employment
