Along with the development of industrial technologies is rapidly increasing the demand for renewable energy sources becomes a very important consideration. One of the alternative energy is now being developed is the energy derived from organic materials, this is because the organic compounds are classified as renewable energy. One energy technology in accordance with the requirements of the biogas technology. If biogas is purified or cleaned of impurities in this case CO2 is good, he would have the same characteristics as natural gas. How big is the influence of CO2 on heating value (heat) in the combustion process it is necessary to an investigation. one by looking at the characteristics of combustion, both the pattern and pace of rambatnya. Combustor used in this study is a model of Helle-shaw cell measuring 50 x 20 x 1 cm. Variation of the mixture used is the ratio 7,5:1 to 10: 1 with the addition of 10% 20%, 30% CO2. Performed on the ignition of ignition. Observation of the shape and rate of flame propagation is done using a high speed camera. The results showed that the ratio of 7,5:1 to 10: 1 blue color of the flame and the flame propagation speed greater penembahan but with 10% CO2 20%, 30% color changing flame reddish yellow which indicates incomplete combustion occurs, and the smaller the rate of flame propagation. This is influenced by the presence of buoyancy forces generated by the combustion

Minimal Impact of Lateā€Season Melt Events on Greenland Ice Sheet Annual Motion

Extreme melt and rainfall events can induce temporary acceleration of Greenland Ice Sheet motion, leading to increased advection of ice to lower elevations where melt rates are higher. In a warmer climate, these events are likely to become more frequent. In September 2022, seasonally unprecedented air temperatures caused multiple melt events over the Greenland Ice Sheet, generating the highest melt rates of the year. The scale and timing of the largest event overwhelmed the subglacial drainage system, enhancing basal sliding and increasing ice velocities by up to āˆ¼240% relative to pre-event velocities. However, ice motion returned rapidly to pre-event levels, and the speed-ups caused a regional increase in annual ice discharge of only āˆ¼2% compared to when the effects of the speed-ups were excluded. Therefore, although late melt-season events are forecast to become more frequent and drive significant runoff, their impact on net mass loss via ice discharge is minimal

Variability and anatomical specificity of the orbitofrontothalamic fibers of passage in the ventral capsule/ventral striatum (VC/VS): precision care for patient-specific tractography-guided targeting of deep brain stimulation (DBS) in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) is a neurosurgical procedure that can reduce symptoms in medically intractable obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Conceptually, DBS of the ventral capsule/ventral striatum (VC/VS) region targets reciprocal excitatory connections between the orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) and thalamus, decreasing abnormal reverberant activity within the OFC-caudate-pallidal-thalamic circuit. In this study, we investigated these connections using diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) on human connectome datasets of twenty-nine healthy young-adult volunteers with two-tensor unscented Kalman filter based tractography. We studied the morphology of the lateral and medial orbitofrontothalamic connections and estimated their topographic variability within the VC/VS region. Our results showed that the morphology of the individual orbitofrontothalamic fibers of passage in the VC/VS region is complex and inter-individual variability in their topography is high. We applied this method to an example OCD patient case who underwent DBS surgery, formulating an initial proof of concept for a tractography-guided patient-specific approach in DBS for medically intractable OCD. This may improve on current surgical practice, which involves implanting all patients at identical stereotactic coordinates within the VC/VS region
