Then, the community was asked to fill out a questionnaire to assess the effectiveness of delivering material about this TMJ. Result: People who have filled out the questionnaire were found to have a significant difference between before and after being given the material. People become more aware of the material and are expected to be able to apply it in everyday life. Conclusion: There is a significant difference between before and after being given TMJ games

Background: Dental and oral hygiene is a special concern for school-age children. Children who are not used to keeping their teeth and mouth clean will tend to experience dental problems. This problem begins when an imbalance of mineralization and demineralization in children causes microorganisms to enter the mouth. These microorganisms will stick to and develop on the teeth which begins with the appearance of plaque and tartar in children. Riskesdas 2018 data shows that 93% of children in Indonesia experience cavities. The data shows that the level of awareness to maintain dental and oral hygiene is still low, so educational efforts are needed to increase children's knowledge. This study provides media interventions in the form of posters, 3D media, and video playback to children to attract children's attention to understand and improve dental and oral hygiene behavior. Method: This research method uses an experimental method that is directly given to elementary school students in Kesambi Village, Tegal Regency. The number of students who participated in this was 55 people with an age range of 9 - 12 years. This research started by giving a questionnaire, then giving the material, and filling out the questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire will be processed and entered into the SPSS data. Result: Knowledge before and after the extension intervention has increased as evidenced by a significant increase. This is in accordance with the results of the p-value which shows 0.000, which means that there is a significant difference before and after penuluhan. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that counseling about children's plaque and tartar conducted on elementary school students in Kesambi Village is effective because it gets significant results

Background: Caries is a chronic disease of the dental hard tissue. The main cause of this disease is plaque bacteria, starting with the formation of white spot lesions due to the dissolving of minerals in tooth enamel caused by acids from the metabolism of bacterial carbohydrates. Caries often occurs in elementary school children because they tend to consume a lot of cariogenic food. The prevalence of caries can be reduced by preventive efforts. Several preventive efforts can be made by providing sufficient information, reducing cariogenic food consumption, always maintaining oral and dental hygiene and preventive dentistry actions. Method: This community service located at SD N Margasari 07. The counseling activity uses phantom and video animation followed by DMF-T/def-t data collection. Result: It was found that 41.8% of students had high category DMF-T/def-t index Conclusion: It is necessary to have a sustainable program to increase children's knowledge and awareness in maintaining dental and oral hygiene including promotive, preventive and curative efforts

Background: Dental and oral health is an important part of overall body health. Cavities are one of the most common dental and oral problems experienced by people in the world, including in Indonesia. Cavities must get treatment as soon as possible before causing unwanted things. The increasing and growing use of filling materials is in line with increasing public awareness of dental and oral health. However, this is not evenly distributed in all regions, only areas that have adequate access and technology can reach this information, so education efforts are needed for people outside the area. Health education is one of the efforts to increase knowledge, attitudes, and good practices in individuals, groups, or communities in maintaining and improving public health. The locations that are targeted in this community service are villages in the working area of the Margasari Health Center, Tegal Regency, Central Java.Method: The planned educational activities include surveying the problems encountered, counseling and discussions on the topic of introducing dental fillings in children and adults. This community service aims to increase public awareness of the importance of treating cavities and increase public understanding regarding the choice of materials used in the treatment of cavities. Result: Counseling begins by distributing questionnaires before and after the counseling. The selected counseling material is material about various additives commonly used in dentistry. The data was then entered and it was found that there was a significant difference between before and before the research was carried out, the p-value was 0.000.Conclusion: The education provided through counseling can be concluded as effective in increasing the knowledge of the people of Margasari Village

Background: Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), a virus that causes COVID-19 disease, occurred in 2019. The prevalence of COVID-19 was increasing and spreading rapidly in several countries including Indonesia. Some efforts have been proposed to reduce the coronavirus outbreak, which is the exploration potentials inhibitor of SARS-CoV-2, vaccination, and improving health protocols by implementing 5M. This study characterized several formulations of nasal spray and evaluated their biological function as antivirus.Method: The garlic was used in this study, crude extract performed by garlic extraction using maseration and evaporated using rotary evaporator. The garlic crude extract was prepared to make nasal and oral sprayer agent and evaluated using thin layer chromatography. Nasal and oral spray composition was modelled and docked with spike glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2 and angiotensin converting enzyme-2 (ACE-2). Garlic extract showed containing allyl sulfide as bioactive compound in garlic, which was detected at Rf 0.5. biological functions revealed that the component of nasal and oral spray have antiviral agents and block the spike glycoprotein – ACE2 interaction.Result: The allyl disulfide complex detected several active amino acid residues, both with the spike glycoprotein protein and the ACE2 receptor. Conclusion: This study suggested that the nasal and oral spray garlic has the potential as an antiviral, especially inhibiting the interaction between ACE2 and spike glycoprotein. Further in vitro and in vivo studies are required for advance investigation

Backgrounds: Odontomas often occur at a young age and are found incidentally in disturbed tooth eruptions, mostly intraosseous lesions. Compound odontomas have been identified as small tooth-like structures known as denticles. An accurate diagnosis of odontoma cannot be made on clinical examination. The majority of odontoma diagnoses have been made by radiographic examination. Odontoma often occurs unilaterally in one area with a single or multiple numbers, in this case, several areas have been found in the maxilla. The purpose of this case report is the radiographic evaluation of compound odontomas using panoramic radiographs and 3D Cone Beam CT. Case reports: A 12 years old female patient with her mother came to the orthodontist with the main complaint of crowding teeth and wanted treatment. On examination, an inflammation appeared on the palate behind the left RA lateral incisor. There was no history of trauma to the orofacial area. There was no family history of unerupted teeth or hypodontia and nothing relevant medical history. The orthodontist referred the patient for a panoramic radiograph and CBCT examination. Results: The results of the panoramic radiograph examination have showed radiopaque images resembling denticles in several regions, was made the case has been interesting to appoint in this case report, and this result was confirmed by the results of the CBCT examination which can show the location, number, and size of denticles in this patient
