Bombeiros Voluntários, Stress e Burnout

O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a influência que o stress ocupacional, particularmente em situações de maior vulnerabilidade, pode ter no risco do desenvolvimento de uma síndrome de burnout numa população – bombeiros voluntários - particularmente exposta a uma tal situação. Equacionou-se a hipótese de o stress ocupacional poder conduzir a uma situação de síndrome de burnout, em função da exposição desta população específica, na prática quotidiana, a diversas situações potenciadoras de stress excessivo. Os níveis de vulnerabilidade ao stress e de síndrome de burnout encontrados apresentam-se relativamente baixos. / The objective of this work was to analyze the influence that occupational stress, particularly in situations of greater vulnerability, can have on the risk of developing a burnout syndrome in a population - voluntary firefighters - particularly exposed to such a situation. The hypothesis was that the occupational stress could lead to a situation of burnout syndrome, due to the exposure of this specific population, in daily practice, to several situations that potentiate excessive stress.
