    Get PDF
Self-efficacy plays an essential role in increasing health-promoting behaviour among older adults with chronic illness. Chronic illness requires high self-efficacy to manage the disease appropriately. Hence, the purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between self-efficacy and health-promoting behaviour among older adults with chronic illness. A cross-sectional study was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire to 218 older adults. The results from this study found a relationship between self-efficacy and health-promoting behaviour exists at rho 0.28 and p-value 0.001. This study revealed that self-efficacy strongly relates to health-promoting behaviour among older adults.eISSN: 2398-4287 © 2019. The Authors. The purpose of the project is to express prolonged grief through facial expressions. Grief is a natural response to loss because it is a universal and singular experience. Art students and academics frequently employed art-based study as a technique and research strategy. This study's methodology includes the processes of artwork analysis, visual data collection, and artwork making. According to the researcher, this study will significantly impact the art scene, especially among printmakers. The outcomes will be implemented in producing artworks incorporating silk screen printing techniques. Keywords: Grief, Face expression, Silk Screen, Printmaking eISSN: 2398-4287 © 2022. The Authors. Incorporating innovations in online product descriptions to reduce product uncertainty in agribazaar portal

    Get PDF
Previous researches indicate that online product description and other product information signals can mitigate product uncertainty and therefore build trust for buyer to buy product online. This paper discusses factors that contribute to mitigation of product uncertainty, specifically for agriculture product. An agribusiness portal in Malaysia is chosen for this study, in which a variety of agro based products are marketed. The relationships between product uncertainty on buying and selling activity, and also the role of product information signals on product uncertainty have been explored.Constructs were employed from literature review and existing research models. It has been discovered that product description together with value, facilitation of buying process, communication, third party product certification and seller description have different influencing power to reduce product uncertainty in agriculture product.By incorporating innovation in online product description, sellers’ integrity will be raised, thus increasing online trust for purchasing agricultural products

Multidrug resistant clinical strains isolated from tracheal aspirates of patients in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Background: Antimicrobial resistance poses a major threat in the treatment of respiratory disease especially in developing countries like Bangladesh. Multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria along with extremely drug resistant (XDR) bacteria have emerged as major clinical and therapeutic dilemma in the treatment of tracheal infections here. Thus, the aim of this study is to assess multidrug resistance among clinical strains isolated from tracheal aspirates of patients in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Methods: Total 200 clinical isolates from tracheal aspirates were identified and their antibiotic susceptibility profiles were evaluated by using the VITEK 2 system following the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines. Patient information on diagnosis, sex, age was obtained from hospital data. Results: Of 200 clinical isolates obtained, Pseudomonas aeruginosa was the most frequent pathogens (30.5%) followed by Acinetobacter baumannii (29%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (22.5%), Streptococcus pneumoniae (7.5%), Escherichia coli (5%), Staphylococcus aureus (2%), Proteus spp (1.5%), Enterobacter spp (1%), Citrobacter spp (0.5%), Providencia spp (0.5%). Of 20 different antibiotics tested, highest number of isolates (86%) showed resistance to third generation cephalosporin cefixime, however least number of isolates showed resistance to polymixin antibiotics- colistin (12.5%) and polymixin B (6%). Tracheal infection was found to be more prevalent in males rather than in females although this difference was not statistically significant. The prevalence of infections was highest among the patients of age-group (old adults) ≥60 years (61.5%). Of 200 clinical isolates, 43 (21.5%) were XDR and 125 (62.5%) were MDR bacteria. Of 200 clinical isolates, the synthesis of extended spectrum β-lactamases (ESBL) and carbepenemase were detected in 59 (29.5%) and 98 (49%) strains respectively. Conclusions: Tracheal infections caused by β-lactamase producing MDR and XDR pathogens among patients are high in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Therefore, there is an urgent need for constant surveillance and interventions in Bangladesh in order to prevent further spreading of those resistant organisms

It was early morning of 5th January, 2016. Nurul Zalikha (subsequently known as Nurul) was driving her car very fast to reach office before 8am. She had to attend one important meeting at 10am with her father Mr Ab. Rahim Bin Ab. Muthalib (subsequently known as Mr. Ab Rahim), the director of Atan Bina Hardware Sdn Bhd located at Masai, Johor Darul Takzim - West Malaysia.Atan Bina used to sell household hardware and construction materials.Nurul was driving and thinking about the discussion agenda. She whispered herself: Yes, I know that the sales is declining, but I also know that there will be a solution to this situation. We can't just postpone our expansion plan for this reason! Who knows, it might turn out to be a better option to boost up sales? May be our location is not strategic to attract the customers! May be we need to open different outlets in different places with better strategic location! We can't leave the situation like this... We must find way out to increase sales..

Objective: To determine the frequency of anatomical variation of olfactory fossa among the adult Pakistani population by Keros classification on computed tomography (CT) of paranasal sinuses. Study Design: Cross-sectional study Place and Duration of Study: Department of Radiology, Combined Military Hospital, Rawalpindi Pakistan, from May 2019 to Mar 2020. Methodology: A total of 65 patients of either gender were included. Patients with previous trauma or surgery of the skull base or paranasal sinuses, malignant diseases of the sinuses and congenital anomalies were excluded. All the included patients in the study underwent CT paranasal sinuses. Measurements of the olfactory fossae followed by grouping as per Kero’s classification were done, and CT findings were recorded. Results: The patients included in the study ranged from 18 to 65 years, with a mean age of 33.09±10.86 years and 72.3% of patients 18 to 40 years of age. Of 65 patients, 36(55.4%) were males, and 29(44.6%) were females. The mean CT depth of the olfactory fossa was 6.34 ±4.03mm. Type-I olfactory fossa by Keros classification was found in 17(26.2%), Type-II in 35(53.8%) and Type-III in 13(20%) of patients. Conclusion: This study concluded that Keros Type-II is the most common anatomical variation of olfactory fossa among the adult Pakistani population on CT of paranasal sinuses with an intermsediate risk of intracranial complications during endoscopic sinus surgery involving this region
