Diplomado de profundización en Farmacovigilancia

La farmacovigilancia como ciencia juega un papel muy importante dentro del entorno de la salud, teniendo una conexión con la seguridad del paciente, es una herramienta que lleva a cabo diferentes actividades como la detección, evaluación, conocimiento y prevención, identificando posibles riesgos que puedan perjudicar la salud del paciente. Los problemas relacionados con medicamentos se asocian como eventos negativos producidos por la farmacoterapia, provocado por distintas causas llevando a cabo el estancamiento terapéutico exitoso, un evento negativo o efecto adverso es un suceso no intencionado que se manifiesta en un tratamiento farmacológico. El Regente de farmacia tiene un rol importante dentro del área de la farmacovigilancia efectuando las funciones y las actividades correspondientes de manera oportuna y eficaz en su área de trabajo, de esta manera se logra disminuir el uso irracional de medicamentos, identificar riesgos, prevenir complicaciones y aportar a la confianza y seguridad del paciente. En el curso de farmacovigilancia podemos comprender el valor que tiene la evaluación y efectividad de los medicamentos en el proceso de la farmacoterapia, en las distintas patologías resaltando la más común en la sociedad. Como profesionales debemos orientar y educar al paciente acerca del buen uso y no abuso de los medicamentos, llevando a cabo un seguimiento terapéutico, con el fin de identificar los efectos adversos y conseguir un tratamiento farmacológico adecuado. Con la elaboración de este documento se consigue comprender y evidenciar la obtención de conocimientos a lo largo del proceso progresivo del diplomado de profundización en farmacovigilancia y el valor significativo que tiene esta ciencia para el rendimiento profesional del regente en farmacia y el sistema de salud en general.Pharmacovigilance as a science plays a very important role within the health environment, having a connection with patient safety, is a tool that carries out different activities such as detection, evaluation, knowledge and prevention, identifying potential risks that may harm the patient’s health. Drug-related problems are associated as negative events produced by pharmacotherapy, caused by various causes leading to successful therapeutic stagnation, a negative event or adverse effect is an unintentional event that manifests itself in a pharmacological treatment. The regent of pharmacy has an important role within the area of pharmacovigilance by carrying out the corresponding functions and activities in a timely and effective way in his area of work, in this way the irrational use of medicines is reduced, identify risks, prevent complications and contribute to patient confidence and safety. In the course of pharmacovigilance we can understand the value of the evaluation and effectiveness of drugs in the process of pharmacotherapy, in the different pathologies highlighting the most common in society. As professionals we must guide and educate the patient about the good use and not abuse of medicines, carrying out a therapeutic follow-up, in order to identify the adverse effects and get an adequate pharmacological treatment. With the preparation of this document it is possible to understand and evidence the acquisition of knowledge throughout the progressive process of the diploma of deepening in pharmacovigilance and the significant value that this science has for the professional performance of the regent in pharmacy and the health system in general
