CONDYLOMATA ACUMINATA AND CANDIDA VULVOVAGINITIS DURING PREGNANCY – CURRENT FACTS AND THERAPEUTIC POSSIBILITIES

    Get PDF
Condylomata acuminata during pregnancy represents genital, perineal and perianal hyperplasia as a result of infection with human papillomavirus during pregnancy. Candida vulvovaginitis is a symptomatic vaginitis (inflammation of the vagina and / or vulva) caused by Candida infection, with 10% of women being asymptomatic. These diseases present some particularities and therapeutical problems during pregnancy

AUI GEOLOGIE Mineralogical considerations on the topstratum of some mine tailings from the Fundu Moldovei area, Romania

Abstract The present study was conducted on a number of 14 tailings samples collected from the topstratum (0-20 cm depth) of three mine tailings deposits located within the Fundu Moldovei mining perimeter, Romania, namely Dealu Negru, Prașca I and Prașca II. The main objective of the study was to determine the mineralogy of these tailings by means of XRD, as well as to establish a link between the mineralogical composition and the conditions in which the tailings have been deposited. The Powder XRD analyses showed that the main minerals are quartz and Fe-rich chlorite, while the accessory minerals are muscovite-illite, sometimes pyrite or albite. The trace minerals identified were the following: albite, pyrite, jarosite (resulting from the weathering of pyrite), talc, gypsum and stilpnomelane

Nuclear physics with advanced brilliant gamma beams at ELI–NP

    No full text
The Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics facility is dedicated to nuclear physics studies with the use of extreme electromagnetic radiation. One of the main research system to be installed and operated in the facility is an outstanding high brilliance gamma beam system. The Gamma Beam System of ELI–NP will produce intense, quasi–monochromatic gamma beams via inverse Compton scattering of short laser pulses on relativistic electron beam pulses. The gamma beams available at ELI–NP will allow for the performance of photo-nuclear reactions aiming to reveal the intimate structure of the atomic nucleus. Nuclear Resonance Fluorescence, photo-fission, photo-disintegration reactions above the particle threshold will be used to study the dipole response of nuclei, the structure of the Pygmy resonances, nuclear processes relevant for astrophysics, production and study of exotic neutron–rich nuclei

GENETIC AND THERAPEUTIC NOVELTIES IN ATOPIC DERMATITIS

    Get PDF
Atopic dermatitis (atopic eczema) is a common affection in children, characterized by exacerbations and remissions. The forms may be mild, moderate or severe, the problem of treatment is in moderate and severe forms. Fully understanding this condition can revolutionize the therapy used so far. New generations of target drugs are being studied, some of which have promising results. By reviewing these results, new research opportunities are opened up

PROBLEMS OF DOCTOR-PATIENT COMMUNICATION IN MEDICAL PRACTICE. WAYS TO APPROACH THE PATIENT IN COMPLICATED CASES

    Get PDF
Currently, the physician-patient relationship is a bidirectional one, the center of which is communication. Communication is no longer regarded as an option but as a necessity in the day-to-day practice of physicians. The way we use communication can make a big difference on the physician-patient relationship, on the understanding of the disease, the treatment, and on the subsequent conduct of the patient. The approach to this subject comes in the absence of formal courses for doctors in communication, a necessary and beneficial thing both for the doctor and for the patient

A META-ANALYSIS AND SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF THE PRESENCE OF DEPRESSION AMONG PATIENTS WITH VITILIGO

The link between vitiligo and depression is complex in many ways. Vitiligo predisposes to depression because it is a chronic, unpredictable, without curative treatment that affects the quality of life, especially because of skin damage. This meta-analysis emphasizes the importance of addressing depression in patients with vitiligo in medical practice as well as the predisposing factors of vitiligo that contribute to the further development of depression. There is a need for more studies on this issue
