SEXUAL INTERCOURSE DALAM NASKAH GEGURITAN CALONARANG SEBAGAI PENGEJAWANTAHAN KONSEP BUDAYA PURUSA-PRADANA
Sex in culture is actually as old as human age, it means that it is difficult to separate sex from human being occupied this Earth. Therefore sex is not a new discourse in the area of human culture in the world. However, each culture has the concept of value, norm to express sex “secretly” so that sex discourse became taboo. Because of this taboo sex is probably expressed through symbolical expression from the most primitive one till the most modern one such as in the paintings, dances, statues, texts or literatures. One mean of sexual expressions in Balinese culture is texts either In the form of parwa,kakawin,kidung,gegurita, or specific texts about “sexual medication” etc. if it is traced, these texts cover a wide subject but in this occasion it will be discussed one of them i.e. geguritan text that is Geguritan Calonarang further abbreviated as GC. The investigation of sexual culture in GC is an important part to know the Balinese culture concept of sexual intercourse which is in accordance with religious norms. Sexual intercourse in Balinese culture (Hindu) is the manifestation of Purusa-pradana philosophical concept, lingga-yoni, lanang-istri from the abstract understanding to the concrete one. This means that sexual intercourse is an activity which legitimated by culture and religion, if it is done in accordance with normative procedure as it is regulated by each culture and religion. The expression of sexual intercourse in the language of literature is sometimes covered in the meaning of beautiful language. Therefore it needs a mastery of language to be able to give meaning concerning the values behind GC text, especially Balinese language idioms
EKSPRESI SENI MASYARAKAT TRADISIONAL DESA ADAT PENGLIPURAN BANGLI SEBAGAI SARANA PEMUJAAN KEPADA TUHAN (Kajan Bentuk, Fungsi, dan Makna)
In Balinese Culture art is substantial because it closely relates to the system of belief especially Hindu religion. Thus art is having inner power that is the spirit of the purity of Hindu itself. Therefore functionally art in Bali can be categorized into: seni wali, bebali and balih-balihan. The intensity of art activities relate to the ritualistic performance of Balinese Hindu society. In Ba-linese traditional society art activities relate to religious ritual are frequently performed even melted into the life of their rites.
Likewise in the village of Adat Penglipuran Bangli, has expressed that art as an act of worship in the form of sacred Baris Dance. The performance of sacred Baris dance in the village of Adat Pengli-puran has form, function and meaning pertaining to worship, both to ancestors (cosmic axis) at Bayung Gede Kintamani and to God. The aesthetic concept that is used as a mean of worship borne theo-aesthetic term. Because of having those functions and meaning this sacred tradition survive. Besides that, this sacred Baris Dance as honor to geographical reality that has its upper reach at mountain, so it’s value-oriented is on war myth, fertility, water, etc. Thus the artistic expression of Penglipuran society as worship rites toward the Creator
The Transformation of Character Values in Melampuhan Tradition in Bayung Gede Village, Kintamani, Bangli: An Ethno-Pedagogy Study
Abstract:This article describes the village of Bayung Gede, a village in Kintamani sub-district which has a variety of unique traditions. The uniqueness can be seen from the social system which still adheres to the ulu apad leadership pattern, has a set of burial ground for placenta and other traditions. Thus, Bayung Gede has a lot of uniqueness. One of the uniqueness currently being discussed is an initiation ritual (malampuhan). This ritual is a rite of passage or regeneration of new teruna (youth) candidates, replacing the old. Before they enter a new life, jero sanghyang teruna lan istri (boys and girls), the melampuhan ritual is performed. The problem is what values can be transformed through this melamphan ritual to shape the character of the next young generation in Bayung Gede. The results of the analysis show that various values can be transformed through the ritual of overthrowing this generation, including the values of honesty, courage, loyalty, reliability, justice, discipline, knowing limits, potential, purity and suitability, peace, trustworthiness, respect, love, compassion, unselfish, kind, friendly, aesthetic, togetherness or mutual cooperation. Through this ritual, it is hoped that someday will produce a transformative generation that has character in accordance with these values that are internalized, socialized and then acculturated. KEUNGGULAN BUDAYA DALAM RANGKA INTEGRASI KAWASAN DAN KESEJAHTERAAN BERSAMA: ANALISIS TERHADAP TEKS TANTU PANGGELARAN DAN USANA BALI
The development of science and technology, especially communication and transportation, stimulates a fast globalization. Strong nation integrity and identity or personality are necessary for intercultural meeting to run well, living in harmony, and mutual respect. The results of the study on ancient texts, written and oral- show that cultural heritage can provide added value to the lives of modern people today. Texts like Tantu Panggelaran and Usana Bali need to continue to get their meaning by each generation. The results of the analysis of the two texts show that the majesty of ancient civilizations is able to create a frame of togetherness, social and geographic frames, and cross-border regions and countries geopolitics. The frame as a mythology that directs how to get a togetherness creating the names of the mountains, areas, villages, rivers, and religious understandings. That is the meaning of togetherness and prosperity that will be achieved (jagathita) or happiness in the universe.

Tradition can be seen from two different perspectives, those of literacy (writing system) and of oral tradition. Recently, some intellectuals have shown interest in oral tradition as academic study in some universities. Oral tradition is not supposed to be seen merely as part of the past and a cultural entity of no importance. This paper describes the two traditions of oral literature and manuscript writing as a basis for local historical knowledge and records of cultural politics. The Role Of Lontar Digitalization For Hinduism Informal Education In Preserving Cultural And Hinduism At The Puri Gede Kerambitan Tabanan
Bali having many literary work in form of lontar which is stored in a library or collection of personal. Overall, it cannot be known for certain but mostly to lack of care. The lontar contain to the transcendent value the teachings of Hinduism that can be implemented in life. This research revealed about the preservation of cultural and Hinduism through the efforts of lontar digitalization which is then associated with the role of Hinduism informal education especially at Puri Gede Kerambitan. The focus of research are: lontar digitalization process, the role of the lontar digitalization to Hinduism informal education, and the efforts that supports lontar digitalization. The purpose of this research are: provides a description of lontar digitalization at Puri Gede Kerambitan, explaining the role of the process of lontar digitalization to Hinduism informal education and provides a description of supporting efforts lontar digitalization. Disclosure of research results was done through qualitative arguments. The results of this study indicate that are (1) Lontar is cultural documentation of the past that is highly valued. The preservation of lontar by doing lontar digitalization can provides a description about the conversion of the lontar into the form of digital image by using digital equipments. Lontar digitalization as a positive step to save the literature about culture and Hinduism that is highly valued; (2) Lontar digitalization has a positive for the process of Hinduism informal education by applying values of Hinduism directly during the performance of lontar digitalization; (3) Puri Gede Kerambitan gives full support to the lontar digitalization process that has been conducted by outsiders. But the Government support is still not maximum yet to the preservation of culture and Hinduism. The efforts made by various parties were the overview of insights and viewpoints that support the preservation of lontar through lontar digitalization

buku ini diharapkan bisa menjadi bahan refrensi atau dapat memberikat informasi
kepada wisatawan yang ingin berkunjung ke Kabupaten Gianyar. Dalam buku ini

KEBERADAAN AKSARA WRÉSASTRA DALAM AKSARA BALI
Aksara Bali yang disebut Wrésastra merupakan aspek penting yang mengemas kebudayaan Bali dari zaman ke zaman yang terus mengalami perkembangan seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi. Atas dasar pemikiran itu, kajian difokuskan untuk menjawab dua masalah, yaitu bagaimana bentuk aksara itu di dalam inskripsi, tinggalan lainnya, dan perkembangannya sehingga menjadi aksara Bali sekarang dan bagaimana nilai-nilai filosofis aksara itu dalam berbagai inskripsi yang memiliki fungsi religius dalam masyarakat Bali. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah untuk mengungkap bentuk aksara Wrésastra di dalam inskripsi dan tinggalan lainnya sehungga menjadi akasara Bali seperti sekarang ini dan mengungkap nilai filosofis yang terkandung di dalamnya. Teori yang digunakan membedah masalah adalah teori simbol dan teori religi. Teori dipilih dilandasi oleh pertimbangan bahwa manusia menerjemahkan kehidupannya melalui simbol dan bahkan juga menciptakan simbol serta simbol itu diyakini memberikan andil dalam kelestarian hidupnya yang dijiwai oleh konsep religi sehingga dapat memperkuat keyakinannya kepada Tuhan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa aksara Wrésastra merupakan salah satu jenis aksara Bali yang dipakai untuk menuliskan bahasa Bali. Dintinjau dari inskripsi, akasara ini diketahui memiliki bentuk yang beragam dan dituliskan dari berbagai bahan, seperti batu, tembaga, dan lontar. Aksara ini mengalami perkembangan dari aksara Brahmi dan Pallawa menjadi aksara Jawa Kuno, Bali Kuno, Kadiri Kuadrat, dan aksara Bali yang sekarang. Aksara ini juga memiliki nilai religius yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat Bali, seperti dalam kaitannya dengan pengaturan batas wilayah, pajak, dan denda
