Corrosion inhibition has already been established in various commercial enterprises, either for the protection of pipes in the petroleum industry or to reduce the disintegration rate of feed water sections or boilers or also used to cut down the sulphide induced decomposition in industries that are being utilized for the gasification of steel pipelines. Review of metal protection techniques and application of drugs as corrosion inhibitors on metals

The inability of metals to resist degradation as a result of corrosion remains a unique global problem that depend on different metals for daily operations. Therefore, knowing the appropriate method to use is a key to ameliorate corrosion effect on metals. Green inhibitors serve as a modern, cheaper and environmentally favorable method to retard the effects of corrosion. Drugs are corrosion inhibitors which can reduce the action of corrosion without being hazardous to the environment as they are synthesized from natural products. The review studies the metal protection techniques and the use of drug as corrosion inhibitors. The importance of copper as a useful metal as good corrosion resistance due to inherent properties alongside its malleability was also discussed

Electro deposition is a unique technology because of its excellent control of the chemical properties, mechanical strengthening behavior, and structural evolution over time. Diversity in income-generating activities for sedentarized pastoral women in northern Kenya

As East African pastoralists settle around market centers, women often adopt new town-based activities to generate income. While settling in or near towns presents women with new opportunities, household poverty may prevent them from exploiting these opportunities or lead them to adopt environmentally unsustainable survival strategies that contribute to the localized degradation of the natural resource base. A survey of 102 Rendille women in and around Korr town in Marsabit District of northern Kenya was undertaken to understand their income-generating strategies. Strategies analyzed in this study are the sale of milk, based on pastoral production; the collection and sale of firewood, which may be environmentally unsustainable; and income generation through small-scale trading, which has become increasingly important as market integration increases in northern Kenya. The results show that Korr women are by no means all pursuing the same income-generating activities. Potential poverty-alleviation strategies include emphasis on research and investments aimed at improvements in milk marketing opportunities and efficiencies, increasing regional employment opportunities, strengthening collective action by pastoral women, and increasing their level of participation in decision making aimed at sustainable use of natural resources
