Duality Invariant M-theory: Gauged supergravities and Scherk-Schwarz reductions
We consider the reduction of the duality invariant approach to M-theory by a
U-duality group valued Scherk-Schwarz twist. The result is to produce
potentials for gauged supergravities that are normally associated with
non-geometric compactifications. The local symmetry reduces to gauge
transformations with the gaugings exactly matching those of the embedding
tensor approach to gauged supergravity. Importantly, this approach now includes
a nontrivial dependence of the fields on the extra coordinates of the extended

T-duality in the weakly curved background
We consider the closed string propagating in the weakly curved background
which consists of constant metric and Kalb-Ramond field with infinitesimally
small coordinate dependent part. We propose the procedure for constructing the
T-dual theory, performing T-duality transformations along coordinates on which
the Kalb-Ramond field depends. The obtained theory is defined in the
non-geometric double space, described by the Lagrange multiplier and
its -dual . We apply the proposed T-duality procedure to the
T-dual theory and obtain the initial one. We discuss the standard relations
between T-dual theories that the equations of motion and momenta modes of one
theory are the Bianchi identities and the winding modes of the other

Massive Type II in Double Field Theory
We provide an extension of the recently constructed double field theory
formulation of the low-energy limits of type II strings, in which the RR fields
can depend simultaneously on the 10-dimensional space-time coordinates and
linearly on the dual winding coordinates. For the special case that only the RR
one-form of type IIA carries such a dependence, we obtain the massive
deformation of type IIA supergravity due to Romans. For T-dual configurations
we obtain a `massive' but non-covariant formulation of type IIB, in which the
10-dimensional diffeomorphism symmetry is deformed by the mass parameter.Comment: 21 page

Every farm must have an adequate water supply which can be depended upon for livestock during periods of extended drouth. Many farmers in southern Iowa depend upon their farm ponds as a,principal source of water or to supplement their wells. A well planned and constructed farm pond may be what you need to insure an adequate supply of water on your farm at all times if your present water supply is not dependable.
A farm pond will be a ready source of water for many years if properly planned, constructed and maintained. Before investing money in a farm pond, however, consider a number of important problems. Then decide what is best for you and your farm. Your county extension director or technician of your local soil conservation district may be able to help plan the pond.
A farm pond, in addition to its usefulness in providing water for livestock, can serve other important needs on the farm. The pond can supply water for fire protection, limited irrigation, orchard and crop spraying, fish production, recreation and waterfowl. A pond properly planned and maintained can be stocked with fish and thereby be a source of food as well as provide sport for the family or neighbors
Vacancy complexes in nonequilibrium germanium-tin semiconductors
Understanding the nature and behavior of vacancy-like defects in epitaxial
GeSn metastable alloys is crucial to elucidate the structural and
optoelectronic properties of these emerging semiconductors. The formation of
vacancies and their complexes is expected to be promoted by the relatively low
substrate temperature required for the epitaxial growth of GeSn layers with Sn
contents significantly above the equilibrium solubility of 1 at.%. These
defects can impact both the microstructure and charge carrier lifetime. Herein,
to identify the vacancy-related complexes and probe their evolution as a
function of Sn content, depth-profiled pulsed low-energy positron annihilation
lifetime spectroscopy and Doppler broadening spectroscopy were combined to
investigate GeSn epitaxial layers with Sn content in the 6.5-13.0 at.% range.
The samples were grown by chemical vapor deposition method at temperatures
between 300 and 330 {\deg}C. Regardless of the Sn content, all GeSn samples
showed the same depth-dependent increase in the positron annihilation line
broadening parameters, which confirmed the presence of open volume defects. The
measured average positron lifetimes were the highest (380-395 ps) in the region
near the surface and monotonically decrease across the analyzed thickness, but
remain above 350 ps. All GeSn layers exhibit lifetimes that are 85 to 110 ps
higher than the Ge reference layers. Surprisingly, these lifetimes were found
to decrease as Sn content increases in GeSn layers. These measurements indicate
that divacancies are the dominant defect in the as-grown GeSn layers. However,
their corresponding lifetime was found to be shorter than in epitaxial Ge thus
suggesting that the presence of Sn may alter the structure of divacancies.
Additionally, GeSn layers were found to also contain a small fraction of
vacancy clusters, which become less important as Sn content increases
Moody's Correlated Binomial Default Distributions for Inhomogeneous Portfolios
This paper generalizes Moody's correlated binomial default distribution for
homogeneous (exchangeable) credit portfolio, which is introduced by Witt, to
the case of inhomogeneous portfolios. As inhomogeneous portfolios, we consider
two cases. In the first case, we treat a portfolio whose assets have uniform
default correlation and non-uniform default probabilities. We obtain the
default probability distribution and study the effect of the inhomogeneity on
it. The second case corresponds to a portfolio with inhomogeneous default
correlation. Assets are categorized in several different sectors and the
inter-sector and intra-sector correlations are not the same. We construct the
joint default probabilities and obtain the default probability distribution. We
show that as the number of assets in each sector decreases, inter-sector
correlation becomes more important than intra-sector correlation. We study the
maximum values of the inter-sector default correlation. Our generalization
method can be applied to any correlated binomial default distribution model
which has explicit relations to the conditional default probabilities or
conditional default correlations, e.g. Credit Risk, implied default
distributions. We also compare some popular CDO pricing models from the
