    Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging for Micro-motion Target with Rotating Parts

    This paper establishes imaging model for rigid body micro-motion target with rotating parts, and derives the formulas of micro-Doppler induced by target with rotation. To obtain well-focused inverse synthetic aperture radar image of rigid body micro-motion target with rotating parts, low frequency filter algorithm is presented to separate the echoes of the rigid body from that of the micro-motion parts.     Micro-Doppler Frequency Estimation Based on Radon-Wigner Transform

    A nonparametric computationally efficient algorithm is proposed for micro-Doppler frequency estimation, assuming that this non-linear micro-Doppler frequency is approximate linear frequency in short-time intervals. In this algorithm, we use Radon-Wigner transform in short-time intervals to estimate micro-Doppler frequency.     DEA Game Cross-Efficiency Model to Urban Public Infrastructure Investment Comprehensive Efficiency of China

    In managerial application, data envelopment analysis (DEA) is used by numerous studies to evaluate performances and solve the allocation problem. As the problem of infrastructure investment becomes more and more important in Chinese cities, it is of vital necessity to evaluate the investment efficiency and assign the fund. In practice, there are competitions among cities due to the scarcity of investment funds. However, the traditional DEA model is a pure self-evaluation model without considering the impacts of the other decision-making units (DMUs). Even though using the cross-efficiency model can figure out the best multiplier bundle for the unit and other DMUs, the solution is not unique. Therefore, this paper introduces the game theory into DEA cross-efficiency model to evaluate the infrastructure investment efficiency when cities compete with each other. In this paper, we analyze the case involving 30 provincial capital cities of China. And the result shows that the approach can accomplish a unique and efficient solution for each city (DMU) after the investment fund is allocated as an input variable

    This paper addresses the problem of finite-time H∞ filtering for one family of singular stochastic systems with parametric uncertainties and time-varying norm-bounded disturbance. Initially, the definitions of singular stochastic finite-time boundedness and singular stochastic H∞ finite-time boundedness are presented. Then, the H∞ filtering is designed for the class of singular stochastic systems with or without uncertain parameters to ensure singular stochastic finite-time boundedness of the filtering error system and satisfy a prescribed H∞ performance level in some given finite-time interval. Furthermore, sufficient criteria are presented for the solvability of the filtering problems by employing the linear matrix inequality technique. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the validity of the proposed methodology

    Lithosphere thinning beneath west North China Craton: Evidence from geochemical and Sr-Nd-Hf isotope compositions of Jining basalts

    This study shows lithosphere evolution history in the west North China Craton (NCC) from the early Cretaceous to Quaternary by studying the major element, trace element and Sr-Nd-Hf isotope compositions in Jining basalts of 119.6-108.6. Ma, 23.5-21.9. Ma and 1.3-0.11. Ma.The early Cretaceous basalts (119.6-108.6Ma) display enriched characteristics with high contents of incompatible elements, high 87Sr/86Sri, low εNd(t) and low εHf(t). These basalts resulted from partial melting of ancient metasomatized lithospheric mantle, and we consider the 119.6-108.6Ma magmatism as indicating lithosphere thinning in the west NCC. Although the Pacific slab seen seismically in the mantle transition zone beneath eastern China is no older than 60Ma, there exists convincing evidence for the presence of the Paleo-Pacific slab in the transition-zone in the Mesozoic. Thus we propose that the water released from the transition-zone slab hydrated the overlying lithosphere and further converted the base of the lithosphere into asthenosphere. This is the most likely mechanism responsible for the lithosphere thinning in the west NCC and the petrogenesis of the Jining 119.6-108.6Ma basalts.The Jining 23.5-21.9Ma basalts also have high contents of incompatible elements, but they display high εNd(t), high εHf(t) and variably low 87Sr/86Sri. We propose that these Miocene basalts were derived from the asthenosphere with contributions from ancient metasomatized lithospheric mantle during melt ascent. The Jining Quaternary basalts (1.3-0.11Ma) represent the melt of upwelling asthenosphere with low 87Sr/86Sri, high εNd(t) and high εHf(t). Upwelling and decompression melting of the eastward flowing asthenosphere from beneath western plateaus to beneath eastern hilly plains in the Cenozoic is the most plausible mechanism for the petrogenesis of Jining Cenozoic basalts (both of 23.5-21.9Ma and 1.3-0.11Ma), but the Jining 1.3-0.11Ma basalts must have been produced beneath even thinner lithosphere.Taken together geophysical studies and our petrological and geochemical studies of all these three episodes of the Jining basalts, we propose that the lithosphere in the west NCC has been thinning since the early Cretaceous and the thinning continues to the present

    Glycolipid Metabolism Disorder in the Liver of Obese Mice Is Improved by TUDCA via the Restoration of Defective Hepatic Autophagy

    Objective. Tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) has been considered an important regulator of energy metabolism in obesity. However, the mechanism underlying how TUDCA is involved in insulin resistance is not fully understood. We tested the effects of TUDCA on autophagic dysfunction in obese mice. Material and Methods. 500 mg/kg of TUDCA was injected into obese mice, and metabolic parameters, autophagy markers, and insulin signaling molecular were assessed by Western blotting and real-time PCR. Results. The TUDCA injections in the obese mice resulted in a reduced body weight gain, lower blood glucose, and improved insulin sensitivity compared with obese mice that were injected with vehicle. Meanwhile, TUDCA treatment not only reversed autophagic dysfunction and endoplasmic reticulum stress, but also improved the impaired insulin signaling in the liver of obese mice. Additionally, the same results obtained with TUDCA were evident in obese mice treated with the adenoviral Atg7. Conclusions. We found that TUDCA reversed abnormal autophagy, reduced ER stress, and restored insulin sensitivity in the liver of obese mice and that glycolipid metabolism disorder was also improved via the restoration of defective hepatic autophagy

    Concurrent probing of electron-lattice dephasing induced by photoexcitation in 1T-TaSeTe using ultrafast electron diffraction

    It has been technically challenging to concurrently probe the electrons and the lattices in materials during non-equilibrium processes, allowing their correlations to be determined. Here, in a single set of ultrafast electron diffraction patterns taken on the charge-density-wave (CDW) material 1T-TaSeTe, we discover a temporal shift in the diffraction intensity measurements as a function of scattering angle. With the help of dynamic models and theoretical calculations, we show that the ultrafast electrons probe both the valence-electron and lattice dynamic processes, resulting in the temporal shift measurements. Our results demonstrate unambiguously that the CDW is not merely a result of the periodic lattice deformation ever-present in 1T-TaSeTe but has significant electronic origin. This method demonstrates a novel approach for studying many quantum effects that arise from electron-lattice dephasing in molecules and crystals for next-generation devices.Comment: 13 pages and 4 figures in main tex

    Effect of Oak Chip Aging on the Flavor of Persimmon Brandy

    Mopan persimmon brandy with an alcohol content of 42% (V/V), prepared by fermentation and distillation, was aged after being added with 5–20 g/L of Chinese-made moderately roasted oak chips. The volatile and non-volatile components of persimmon brandy were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), the total phenol content and antioxidant activity were determined, and sensory evaluation was also performed. The results showed that a total of 33 volatile components were identified by GC-MS, among which the major components were ethyl acetate, ethyl decanoate, and ethyl laurate. The content of volatile components was the highest upon the addition of 10 g/L of oak chips. The results of LC-MS showed that the number of non-volatile substances increased by 183 after aging. The total phenol content and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging capacity increased with increasing addition of oak chips, but was basically stable after 90 days of aging. In the sensory evaluation, persimmon brandy with 15 g/L of oak chip scored the highest (72.5 points)
