    Symbolic Bisimulation for Probabilistic Systems

    International audienceThe paper introduces symbolic bisimulations for a simple probabilistic π-calculus to overcome the infinite branching problem that still exists in checking ground bisimulations between probabilistic systems. Especially the definition of weak (symbolic) bisimulation does not rely on the random capability of adversaries and sug- gests a solution to the open problem on the axiomati- zation for weak bisimulation in the case of unguarded recursion. Furthermore, we present an efficient char- acterization of symbolic bisimulations for the calculus, which allows the ”on-the-fly” instantiation of bound names and dynamic construction of equivalence rela- tions for quantitative evaluation. This directly results in a local decision algorithm that can explore just a minimal portion of the state spaces of probabilistic pro- cesses in question

    THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OF PUBLIC HOUSING BASED ON MULTI-OBJECTIVE MATCHING: A CASE STUDY OF HUANGSHI CITY

    The rapid rate of China’s urbanization in recent years arises greater demand of houses. To ease the housing shortage, Chinese authority has been building or collecting a large amount of public housing. However, as the large-scale construction of public housing has been promoted, an increasing number of people focus their eyes on the equitable distribution of these houses. This paper aims to establish a distribution system of public housing with the research in Huangshi City (a city in central China). We affirm the importance of priority and housing preference of applicant families, on the basis of which we discuss operating principle of the distribution system based on the multi-objective programming, and advance two ways of model solutions as well. At last, we propose an algorithm instance to verify feasibility of the distribution system, and make the comparison between two types of algorithms as well

    Exploring Feature Representation Learning for Semi-supervised Medical Image Segmentation

    This paper presents a simple yet effective two-stage framework for semi-supervised medical image segmentation. Our key insight is to explore the feature representation learning with labeled and unlabeled (i.e., pseudo labeled) images to enhance the segmentation performance. In the first stage, we present an aleatoric uncertainty-aware method, namely AUA, to improve the segmentation performance for generating high-quality pseudo labels. Considering the inherent ambiguity of medical images, AUA adaptively regularizes the consistency on images with low ambiguity. To enhance the representation learning, we propose a stage-adaptive contrastive learning method, including a boundary-aware contrastive loss to regularize the labeled images in the first stage and a prototype-aware contrastive loss to optimize both labeled and pseudo labeled images in the second stage. The boundary-aware contrastive loss only optimizes pixels around the segmentation boundaries to reduce the computational cost. The prototype-aware contrastive loss fully leverages both labeled images and pseudo labeled images by building a centroid for each class to reduce computational cost for pair-wise comparison. Our method achieves the best results on two public medical image segmentation benchmarks. Notably, our method outperforms the prior state-of-the-art by 5.7% on Dice for colon tumor segmentation relying on just 5% labeled images.Comment: On submission to TM
