Intraday pattern in bid-ask spreads and its power-law relaxation for Chinese A-share stocks

We use high-frequency data of 1364 Chinese A-share stocks traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange to investigate the intraday patterns in the bid-ask spreads. The daily periodicity in the spread time series is confirmed by Lomb analysis and the intraday bid-ask spreads are found to exhibit LL-shaped pattern with idiosyncratic fine structure. The intraday spread of individual stocks relaxes as a power law within the first hour of the continuous double auction from 9:30AM to 10:30AM with exponents Ξ²SHSE=0.19Β±0.069\beta_{\rm{SHSE}}=0.19\pm0.069 for the Shanghai market and Ξ²SZSE=0.18Β±0.067\beta_{\rm{SZSE}}=0.18\pm0.067 for the Shenzhen market. The power-law relaxation exponent Ξ²\beta of individual stocks is roughly normally distributed. There is evidence showing that the accumulation of information widening the spread is an endogenous process.Comment: 12 Elsart pages including 7 eps figure

Non-Abelian (Hyperscaling Violating) Lifshitz Black Holes in General Dimensions

    Get PDF
We consider Einstein gravities coupled to a cosmological constant and multiple SU(2)SU(2) Yang-Mills fields in general dimensions and find that the theories admit colored Lifshitz solutions with dynamic exponents z>1z>1. We also introduce a Maxwell field and construct exact electric charged black holes that asymptote to the z=Dβˆ’1z=D-1 colored Lifshitz spacetimes and analyse their thermodynamical first law. Furthermore, we introduce a dilaton to the system and construct Lifshitz spacetimes with hyperscaling violations. After turning on the Maxwell field, we obtain a class of hyperscaling violating Lifshitz black holes when ΞΈ=2Dβˆ’2[zβˆ’(Dβˆ’1)]\theta=\frac{2}{D-2}[z-(D-1)].Comment: Latex, 12 pages, a published version in PL

Revisit assignments of the new excited Ξ©c\Omega_c states with QCD sum rules

In this article, we distinguish the contributions of the positive parity and negative parity Ξ©c\Omega_c states, study the masses and pole residues of the 1S, 1P, 2S and 2P Ξ©c\Omega_c states with the spin J=12J=\frac{1}{2} and 32\frac{3}{2} using the QCD sum rules in a consistent way, and revisit the assignments of the new narrow excited Ξ©c0\Omega_c^0 states. The predictions support assigning the Ξ©c(3000)\Omega_c(3000) to be the 1P Ξ©c\Omega_c state with JP=12βˆ’J^P={\frac{1}{2}}^-, assigning the Ξ©c(3090)\Omega_c(3090) to be the 1P Ξ©c\Omega_c state with JP=32βˆ’J^P={\frac{3}{2}}^- or the 2S Ξ©c\Omega_c state with JP=12+J^P={\frac{1}{2}}^+, and assigning Ξ©c(3119)\Omega_c(3119) to be the 2S Ξ©c\Omega_c state with JP=32+J^P={\frac{3}{2}}^+.Comment: 19 pages, 22 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1705.0774

    Godel Universe from String Theory

G\"odel universe is a direct product of a line and a three-dimensional spacetime we call GΞ±_\alpha. In this paper, we show that the G\"odel metrics can arise as exact solutions in Einstein-Maxwell-Axion, Einstein-Proca-Axion, or Freedman-Schwarz gauged supergravity theories. The last allows us to embed G\"odel universe in string theory. The ten-dimensional spacetime is a direct product of a line and the nine-dimensional one of an S3Γ—S3S^3\times S^3 bundle over GΞ±_\alpha, and it can be interpreted as some decoupling limit of the rotating D1/D5/D5 intersection. For some appropriate parameter choice, the nine-dimensional metric becomes an AdS3Γ—S3_3\times S^3 bundle over squashed 3-sphere. We also study the properties of the G\"odel black holes that are constructed from the double Wick rotations of the G\"odel metrics.Comment: latex, 20 pages, discussion on null-energy condition included, typos corrected and references adde

    Rare decays Bsβ†’l+lβˆ’B_s\to l^+l^- and Bβ†’Kl+lβˆ’B\to Kl^+l^- in \the topcolor-assisted technicolor model

We examine the rare decays Bsβ†’l+lβˆ’B_s\to l^+l^- and Bβ†’Kl+lβˆ’B\to Kl^+l^- in the framework of the topcolor-assisted technicolor (TC2TC2) model. The contributions of the new particles predicted by this model to these rare decay processes are evaluated. We find that the values of their branching ratios are larger than the standard model predictions by one order of magnitude in wide range of the parameter space. The longitudinal polarization asymmetry of leptons in Bsβ†’l+lβˆ’B_s \to l^+l^- can approach \ord(10^{-2}). The forward-backward asymmetry of leptons in Bβ†’Kl+lβˆ’B \to Kl^+l^- is not large enough to be measured in future experiments. We also give some discussions about the branching ratios and the asymmetry observables related to these rare decay processes in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity.Comment: 29 pages, 9 figure, corrected typos, the version to appear in PR
