O(1) benchmarking of precise rotation in a spin-squeezed Bose-Einstein condensate
Benchmarking a high-precision quantum operation is a big challenge for many
quantum systems in the presence of various noises as well as control errors.
Here we propose an benchmarking of a dynamically corrected rotation by
taking the quantum advantage of a squeezed spin state in a spin-1 Bose-Einstein
condensate. Our analytical and numerical results show that tiny rotation
infidelity, defined by with the rotation fidelity, can be calibrated
in the order of by only several measurements of the rotation error for
atoms in an optimally squeezed spin state. Such an benchmarking is
possible not only in a spin-1 BEC but also in other many-spin or many-qubit
systems if a squeezed or entangled state is available.Comment: 10 pages, 8 figure
Rhodiola rosea L extract shows protective activity against Alzheimerâs disease in 3xTg-AD mice
Purpose: To investigate the protective effect of Rhodiola rosea L. extract (RRLE) against Alzheimer's disease in 3xTg-AD mice. Methods: The cognitive function of 3xTg-AD mice was assessed using Morris water maze test. The levels of amyloid beta deposits and NeuN in the hippocampus were evaluated by immunohistochemistry. Brain neurotrophic-derived factor (BDNF) and tyrosine kinase B (TrkB) expressions were examined by western blot analysis. Results: RRLE treatment significantly ameliorated learning and memory deficits in AD mice, as shown by increased time spent in the target zone during probe tests. The escape latency in animals treated with 400 mg/kg RRLE (20.5 ± 1.3 s) was significantly increased compared to the untreated mice (12.4 ± 1.3 s, p < 0.01). In addition, RRLE significantly decreased AÎČ deposits, increased NeuN-positive cells, and upregulated the expression of BDNF (1.4 ± 0.2, p < 0.05) and TrkB (1.1 ± 0.2, p < 0.05) in the mice. Conclusion: The findings suggest that RRLE treatment may be a useful strategy for treating memory impairment induced by several neurodegenerative diseases. Keywords: Rhodiola rosea L., Alzheimer's disease, Neurodegenerative diseases, Memory impairment, NeuN-positive cells, Amyloid beta deposit
Relationship between serum albumin and pulse wave velocity in patients on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis

Meanwhile, increased pulse wave velocity (PWV), the marker of arterial stiffness, has been proved to be an independent predictor of cardiovascular disease. The relationship between serum albumin and PWV in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients (CAPD) was studied. Methods: Sixty-two CAPD patients were studied. The average age was 63 ± 12 years and dialysis duration was 23 ± 22 months. Serum albumin, C-reactive protein (CRP), and carotid-femoral PWV were measured. Results: Among these patients, 43.5% were men. The mean serum albumin concentration was 37 ± 4 g/L and PWV was 11.9 ± 2.3 m/s. PWV positively correlated with age (r = 0.35, P < 0.01), diabetes (yes = 1, no = 0; r = 0.292, P < 0.05), systolic blood pressure (SBP; r = 0.493, P < 0.001) and CRP (r = 0.295, P < 0.05), but negatively correlated with serum albumin (r = −0.357, P < 0.01). In multiple regression analysis, SBP (β = 0.615, P < 0.001), age (β = 0.414, P < 0.01), albumin (β = −0.315, P < 0.05) and total cholesterol (β = 0.275, P < 0.05) were independent determinants of PWV. In a non-inflamed subgroup (CRP < 3 mg/L, n = 30), albumin still negatively correlated with PWV (r = −0.66, P < 0.001).Conclusion: Serum albumin inversely correlated with increased PWV in CAPD patients, suggesting that increased arterial stiffness might be the link between hypoalbuminemia and increased cardiovascular mortality in dialysis patients. Keywords: hypoalbuminemia, cardiovascular events, pulse wave velocity, arterial stiffness, peritoneal dialysi
Potential of Constraining Propagation Parameters of Galactic Cosmic Rays with the High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection facility onboard China's Space Station
Precise measurements of the spectra of secondary and primary cosmic rays are
crucial for understanding the origin and propagation of those energetic
particles. The High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection (HERD) facility onboard
China`s Space Station, which is expected to operate in 2027, will push the
direct measurements of cosmic ray fluxes precisely up to PeV energies. In this
work, we investigate the potential of HERD on studying the propagation of
cosmic rays using the measurements of boron, carbon, and oxygen spectra. We
find that, compared with the current results, the new HERD measurements can
improve the accuracy of the propagation parameters by 8\% to 40\%. The
constraints on the injection spectra at high energies will also be improved.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figure

Computational investigation of static multipole polarizabilities and sum rules for ground-state hydrogen-like ions
High precision multipole polarizabilities, for
of the ground state of the hydrogen isoelectronic series are obtained from
the Dirac equation using the B-spline method with Notre Dame boundary
conditions. Compact analytic expressions for the polarizabilities as a function
of with a relative accuracy of 10 up to are determined by
fitting to the calculated polarizabilities. The oscillator strengths satisfy
the sum rules for all multipoles from

interactions are given.Comment: 8 figures, 8 table
Clarification of the Magnetocapacitance Mechanism for Fe 3 O 4 -PDMS Nanocomposites
We mainly focused on the magnetocapacitance effect of Fe 3 O 4 -PDMS nanocomposites. We also proposed the preparation method and measured microstructures, magnetic properties, and magnetocapacitance value of the nanocomposites. The magnetocapacitance measurement results show that the nanocomposites have magnetocapacitance property, the magnetocapacitance with magnetic field depends on the magnetic property, and the value at the same magnetic field is increasing with the volume fraction of Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles. The magnetocapacitance model is proposed to explain this phenomenon by analyzing the magnetic interaction between particles and the viscoelasticity of PDMS. We also calculated the theoretical capacitance value of all samples using the magnetization of nanoparticles and mechanical parameters of PDMS. From the theoretical values, it is concluded that the model we proposed can well explain the magnetocapacitance effect of Fe 3 O 4 -PDMS nanocomposites
