Stable sets and mean Li-Yorke chaos in positive entropy systems
It is shown that in a topological dynamical system with positive entropy,
there is a measure-theoretically "rather big" set such that a multivariant
version of mean Li-Yorke chaos happens on the closure of the stable or unstable
set of any point from the set. It is also proved that the intersections of the
sets of asymptotic tuples and mean Li-Yorke tuples with the set of topological
entropy tuples are dense in the set of topological entropy tuples respectively.Comment: The final version, reference updated, to appear in Journal of

The Fate of Massive Closed Strings
We calculate the semi-inclusive decay rate of an average string state with
toroidal compactification in the the superstring theory. We also apply this
calculation to a brane-inflation model in a warped geometry and find that the
decay rate is greatly suppressed if the final strings are both massive and
enhanced for massless radiation.Comment: 4 pages, to appear in the proceeding of PASCOS 2005, Gyeongju, Korea,

Renormalization-group improved predictions for Higgs boson production at large
We study the next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic order resummation for the
large Higgs boson production at the LHC in the framework of
soft-collinear effective theory. We find that the resummation effects reduce
the scale uncertainty significantly and decrease the QCD NLO results by about
in the large region. The finite top quark mass effects and the
effects of the NNLO singular terms are also discussed.Comment: 31 pages, 17 figures, version published in Phys.Rev.
