Generating Equidistributed Meshes in 2D via Domain Decomposition
In this paper we consider Schwarz domain decomposition applied to the
generation of 2D spatial meshes by a local equidistribution principle. We
briefly review the derivation of the local equidistribution principle and the
appropriate choice of boundary conditions. We then introduce classical and
optimized Schwarz domain decomposition methods to solve the resulting system of
nonlinear equations. The implementation of these iterations are discussed, and
we conclude with numerical examples to illustrate the performance of the
approach
Are EU Trade Sanctions on Burma Compatible with WTO Law?
This Article will explore the European Union\u27s approach to Burma. The European Union, until recently, has implemented quite limited trade sanctions against the Burmese junta. According to the most recent figures, E.U. countries still import €306 million ($454 million) of commodities and products, ninety-five percent of which are textiles, timber, gems, and precious metals. However, the Common Position of November 19, 2007, strengthens considerably E.U. measures against the Burmese regime and contains a ban on the importation of these goods from Burma. Further, the Common Position requires E.U. countries to prohibit intentional and knowing participation in activities that directly or indirectly have the object or effect of circumventing this ban; this could include the transshipment of banned materials from countries other than Burma, which may have been processed or altered in some way so that they do not qualify as imports of Burmese origin under the rules of origin that apply to imports into the European Community as a general matter
First Record of a Bloom of Gonyaulax monilata in Coastal Waters of Mississippi
Data are presented on a bloom of the toxic dinoflagellate Gonyaulax monilata in coastal waters of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. This paper documents the first record of a bloom of this species in Mississippi Sound and adjacent Gulf of Mexico

Exploring and conceptualising attestation
When formalising the rules of trust in the remote attesta- tion of TPM-based computer systems it is paramount that the rules are precisely understood, supporting unambiguous communication of infor- mation about system requirements between engineers. We present a dia- grammatic approach to modelling rules of trust using an extended version of concept diagrams. Within the context of our proof-of-concept Net- work Function Virtualisation and Attestation environment, these rules allow different level of trust to be explored and, importantly, allow us to identify when a computer system should not be trusted. To ensure that the modelling approach can be applied to general systems, we in- clude generic patterns for extending our domain model and rules of trust. Consequently, through the use of a formal, yet accessible, diagrammatic notation, domain experts can define rules of trust for their systems.Leverhulme Trust gran
