Mr Cornelis Jan Witsen was a counsellor and mayor of the city of Amsterdam. He was the father of Nicolaes Witsen. Witsen was best known for his library. Willem Frederik van Nassau Dietz (1613-1664) (Houbraken)
Born in 1613, second son of Ernst Casimir. Becomes baron of Nassau Dietz in 1640 after the death of his brother Hendrik Casimir I at the battle of Hulst.
