Impacts of digital technologies on supply chain performance: a system dynamics approach

    Get PDF
The advent of Industry 4.0 and associated digital technologies makes it possible to share information and access data real-time. Such a capability needs to be investigated in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) to study the joint impacts of digital technologies on transforming SC members’ behavior. In this paper, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, and Big Data Analytics have been selected due to their relevant effects on real-time information sharing within different SC echelons rather than inside one echelon. Moreover, the implementation of these technologies in real SC requires high investments. Also, due to the increased complexity of the SC after applying these technologies, their impacts on SC behavior and performance should be determined precisely. This paper proposes simulation as a cost-effective and comprehensive method to investigate how digital technologies affect SC performance. A three echelon manufacturing SC has been simulated by using System Dynamics (SD) modeling under different scenarios in both traditional and digital SCM. The results reveal a significant improvement of SC performance, in terms of inventory level and cost as well as order fulfillment ratio, in digital SCs compared to traditional SCs. Future research will further develop the model by validating the simulation results with real cases from the industry

This paper focuses on the existing literatures of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) that classifies all available research papers. In this work is defined a review that covers most of the currently available literatures that describes WCM pillars, its implementation models, missions, main tools and key factors. A taxonomy is developed through reviews

Development of an Algorithm for Evaluating the Dominant Factors that have the Greatest Impact on the Energy Intensity of Products

    No full text
The article deals with the assessment of the dominant factors that have the greatest impact on the energy intensity of products. A method is proposed that makes it possible to single out the most significant factors from all the variety of factors affecting energy indicators and to give an appropriate assessment to each of them. Methods and mathematical models are proposed that can be used for current and medium-term forecasting of electricity consumption. The analysis is carried out and the energy characteristics of production units are developed, depending on the reduced and total volume of manufactured products. Using linear programming methods, the energy intensity coefficients of the entire range of products manufactured by individual production units are obtained

Aim. To study the specifics of lipid metabolism and involvement of coronary flow according to combination carriage of “Δ4”-allele Δ2Δ3Δ4 polymorphism of gene apolipoproteine Е (Apo Е) and “S2”-allele SstI polymorphism of gene apolipoproteine ХIII (Apo ĐĄIII) in unstable angina patients.Material and methods. Totally, 141 patients assessed, with unstable angina and angiographically proven coronary atherosclerosis. Comparison group — 50 healthy persons. Genotyping of Δ2/Δ3/Δ4 polymorphism gene Apo Е and SstI polymorphism gene Apo ĐĄIII was done by PCR.Results. 37 were selected to one group of patients with the carriage of “harm” alleles: “Δ4” and “S2” — (I group), versus the others (II group) — 104 patients. In comparison of lipid profiles, I group showed significantly higher levels of total cholesterol (238,0±54,3 mg/dL) and low density cholesterol (LDL) (154,7±51,5 mg/dL) (Đ <0,05), than levels of TC (220,6±39,8) and LDL (138,8±37,6) in II group. Also, in I group patients there was lower HDL cholesterol (34,1±6,3, P<0,05), comparing to II group (36,8±6,8). Level of apolipoproteide В (Apo В) was slightly higher (115,0±24,9 mg/dL), and level of apolipoproteide А-I (Apo А-I) — lower (133,8±21,3) in group I, that led to significantly higher relation of Apo-B/Apo-AI — 0,9±0,3 (P<0,05), comparing to group II (107,0±25,7, 139,1±22,2 and 0,8±0,2), respectively.Conclusion. Carriage of alleles “S2” SstI polymorphism gene apo CIII and “Δ4” Δ2Δ3Δ4 polymorphism gene Apo Е is predetermining factor for development of coronary atherosclerosis and atherogenic dyslipidemia among uzbeks. According to coronary arteriography, in the I group patients had more commonly three — and multivessel disease (Đ <0,05)

Development of method for normalizing electricity consumption

    No full text
The article deals with the calculation of specific indicators of electricity consumption for the production of auxiliary components the technological process. Based on the results of the authors, a method for calculating the normalization of energy in the absence of source materials is proposed. In addition, the method makes it possible to determine the norms of energy consumption given the deviation of the actual values from theoretical

The kinetics of the decomposition of sulfur-containing phosphorus was studied at a rate of 40-100% nitric acid. It was established that the process of decomposition of sulfur-containing fosmuki with acid is easily feasible, the interaction of the components occurs within 2.5-30 minutes. The main part of the sulfur-containing fosmuki decomposes within 10 minutes

Development of specific standards of energy consumption by types of produced products of the spinning product

    No full text
The article deals with the regulation of the energy consumption of a spinning enterprise. For a certain pattern of changes in power consumption and specific power consumption, we studied the hourly performance, which determines the performance of the machine. On the basis of the predicted values of the volume of production, the norms of electricity consumption were developed, which are reflected, taking into account its specificity, the energy intensity of products. When developing the norm, a calculated static method was adopted, based on the analysis of static data for a number of previous years, on the actual consumption of electricity, the volume of output of factors influencing their change
