The fluorene fragment of the title compound, C22H25N, is essentially planar, with an r.m.s deviation of the five-membered ring of 0.005 (2) Å. The dihedral angle between this ring and the outer benzene rings are 1.5 (2) and 0.7 (2)° while that between the benzene rings is 2.1 (2)°. The cyano group makes an angle of 0.3 (2)° with the attached benzene ring

Semantic lifting and reasoning on the personalised activity big data repository for healthcare research

The fast growing markets of smart health monitoring devices and mobile applications provide opportunities for common citizens to have capability for understanding and managing their own health situations. However, there are many challenges for data engineering and knowledge discovery research to enable efficient extraction of knowledge from data that is collected from heterogonous devices and applications with big volumes and velocity. This paper presents research that initially started with the EC MyHealthAvatar project and is under continual improvement following the project’s completion. The major contribution of the work is a comprehensive big data and semantic knowledge discovery framework which integrates data from varied data resources. The framework applies hybrid database architecture of NoSQL and RDF repositories with introductions for semantic oriented data mining and knowledge lifting algorithms. The activity stream data is collected through Kafka’s big data processing component. The motivation of the research is to enhance the knowledge management, discovery capabilities and efficiency to support further accurate health risk analysis and lifestyle summarisation

Source Mechanism and Seismic Effect of Tangshan Earthquake

    Get PDF
By analyzing the seismic mechanism of the Tangshan earthquake and its pattern of movement through the study of ground deformation and ground strain of the Tangshan earthquake area it is clear that the breeding and occurrence of this event are controlled by a long-term intense active fault zone. By the ground deformation, displacement, tectonic features and seismic effects after the event, this causative fault is known to be composed of a group of NNE trending right turn strike-slip faults and thus we call it the Tangshan active fault zone

Effects of losses in the hybrid atom-light interferometer

Enhanced Raman scattering can be obtained by injecting a seeded light field which is correlated with the initially prepared collective atomic excitation. This Raman amplification process can be used to realize atom-light hybrid interferometer. We numerically calculate the phase sensitivities and the signal-to-noise ratios of this interferometer with the method of homodyne detection and intensity detection, and give their differences between this two methods. In the presence of loss of light field and atomic decoherence the measure precision will be reduced which can be explained by the break of the intermode decorrelation conditions of output modesComment: 9 pages, 7 figure

Ultrafast Relaxation Dynamics of Photoexcited Dirac Fermion in The Three Dimensional Dirac Semimetal Cadmium Arsenide

Three dimensional (3D) Dirac semimetals which can be seen as 3D analogues of graphene have attracted enormous interests in research recently. In order to apply these ultrahigh-mobility materials in future electronic/optoelectronic devices, it is crucial to understand the relaxation dynamics of photoexcited carriers and their coupling with lattice. In this work, we report ultrafast transient reflection measurements of the photoexcited carrier dynamics in cadmium arsenide (Cd3As2), which is one of the most stable Dirac semimetals that have been confirmed experimentally. By using low energy probe photon of 0.3 eV, we probed the dynamics of the photoexcited carriers that are Dirac-Fermi-like approaching the Dirac point. We systematically studied the transient reflection on bulk and nanoplate samples that have different doping intensities by tuning the probe wavelength, pump power and lattice temperature, and find that the dynamical evolution of carrier distributions can be retrieved qualitatively by using a two-temperature model. This result is very similar to that of graphene, but the carrier cooling through the optical phonon couplings is slower and lasts over larger electron temperature range because the optical phonon energies in Cd3As2 are much lower than those in graphene

The molecule of the title compound, C12H15ClF3N3O3S, is twisted, as indicated by the C—S—C—C torsion angle of 66.00 (18)° for the atoms linking the ring systems. An intramolecular C—H⋯F short contact occurs. In the crystal, non-classical C—H⋯O interactions, one of which has a short H⋯O contact of 2.28 Å, link the molecules
