About the bookThis book brings together a number of contributions dealing with the many-sided and complex problem of fatigue. The papers were given originally at a Symposium on Fatigue held by the Ergonomics Research Society in March, 1952, at the College of Aeronautics, Cranfield. The Society was founded in 1949 to bring together anatomists, physiologists and psychologists, with engineers and others interested in the design of machinery and equipment for human use. Each of these different approaches to the problem of fatigue is represented here.
