Under these new transformations, Schrodinger, Dirac, Klein-Gordon and Einstein general relativity equations are invariant.     Duality symmetry and the form fields of M-theory

    The Elliptic curves in gauge theory, string theory, and cohomology

    Elliptic curves play a natural and important role in elliptic cohomology. In earlier work with I. Kriz, thes elliptic curves were interpreted physically in two ways: as corresponding to the intersection of M2 and M5 in the context of (the reduction of M-theory to) type IIA and as the elliptic fiber leading to F-theory for type IIB. In this paper we elaborate on the physical setting for various generalized cohomology theories, including elliptic cohomology, and we note that the above two seemingly unrelated descriptions can be unified using Sen's picture of the orientifold limit of F-theory compactification on K3, which unifies the Seiberg-Witten curve with the F-theory curve, and through which we naturally explain the constancy of the modulus that emerges from elliptic cohomology. This also clarifies the orbifolding performed in the previous work and justifies the appearance of the w_4 condition in the elliptic refinement of the mod 2 part of the partition function.     On the generalized continuity equation

    A generalized continuity equation extending the ordinary continuity equation has been found using quanternions. It is shown to be compatible with Dirac, Schrodinger, Klein-Gordon and diffusion equations. This generalized equation is Lorentz invariant.     The Prediction of Tear Strength of plain weave fabric Using Linear Regression Models

    The aim of the study is to predict the tear strength of plain weave fabric by knowing the yarn count, yarn tensile strength and the fabric linear density. A total of nine fabric samples (produced of three different yarn counts which were 36.88, 29.50 and 9.83 tex) were produced in deferent densities at weft direction which were 4.33, 7.08 and 8.26 threads per cm, while the density was fixed at the warp direction in 9.84 ends per cm . Tensile strength was tested for these fabrics at warp and weft direction. The results were analyzed and incorporated in the Min-Tab program and the development of regression coefficients and correlation between variables to obtain equations to predict the tear strength at warp and weft direction

    Accuracy and quickness criterion-based driving skill metric for human adaptive mechatronics system

    Previous studies on driving skill algorithm have combined tracking error and time related variables into algorithm formulation. This method however does not include a car orientation and lateral speed information as an integral part of the algorithm. Two new variables are introduced into the algorithm structure, namely, orientation angle and lateral speed. Nine participants were carefully recruited for a driving test to validate the algorithm. A simulated driving environment was specifically devised for this experiment. A driving track used in this experiment was segmented into five different severities for data analysis. Two fundamental goals have led to the collection and subsequent analysis of the data. The first is analysing the variables in relation to the driving task. The second involves data analysis being further extended into analysing the algorithm performance over estimating the driving skill index. The results reveal that the proposed variables are well correlated with the driving task, and improvement in algorithm performance is found to be almost double compared to the previous algorithm

    Dopamine modulates the neural representation of subjective value of food in hungry subjects.

    Although there is a rich literature on the role of dopamine in value learning, much less is known about its role in using established value estimations to shape decision-making. Here we investigated the effect of dopaminergic modulation on value-based decision-making for food items in fasted healthy human participants. The Becker-deGroot-Marschak auction, which assesses subjective value, was examined in conjunction with pharmacological fMRI using a dopaminergic agonist and an antagonist. We found that dopamine enhanced the neural response to value in the inferior parietal gyrus/intraparietal sulcus, and that this effect predominated toward the end of the valuation process when an action was needed to record the value. Our results suggest that dopamine is involved in acting upon the decision, providing additional insight to the mechanisms underlying impaired decision-making in healthy individuals and clinical populations with reduced dopamine levels.This is the author's accepted manuscript.     Twisted topological structures related to M-branes

    Studying the M-branes leads us naturally to new structures that we call Membrane-, Membrane^c-, String^K(Z,3)- and Fivebrane^K(Z,4)-structures, which we show can also have twisted counterparts.
