学生の自ら学ぶ意欲を引き出す、グラフィックデザイン演習 : 神保町活性化という地域貢献をテーマとして

共立女子大学家政学部建築・デザイン学科デザインコース（以下「当デザインコース」）では、共立女子大学が拠点をおく神保町をより活気ある街にするため、2015年より4年次配当のグラフィックデザイン演習Ⅲにおいて「神保町周辺活性化デザイン計画」をテーマに展開している。本演習は、本テーマに基づいて市場調査を行い、その解決策としてデザイン提案を行うアクティブ・ラーニング型授業である。本年度で3年目となる「神保町周辺活性化デザイン計画2017」は、2017年4月から7月末までの計15回にわたり授業を行った。24名の履修学生が6チームに分かれ、「遊び・夢・ロマンの心、神保町」の戦略ラインのもと、新しく個別デザインプロジェクトを設定し、取り組んだのは、①神保町シンボルオブジェ・プロジェクト②神保町休息イス・プロジェクト③神保町歴史的建造物紹介・プロジェクト④恋の街神保町・プロジェクト⑤神保町・皇居5kmマラソン・プロジェクト⑥神保町個人飲食店グルメ・プロジェクトの6プロジェクトである。本稿は、当デザインコースの学生が取り組んだ「神保町周辺活性化デザイン計画2017」の実践学習について、学生自らの学ぶ意欲を引き出す授業のあり方、地域貢献、またその有効性について論ずるものである。In the Practice in Graphics Design III, a design course offered by the Department of Architecture and Design at Kyoritsu Women’s University Faculty of Home Economics, we undertook a design project focusing on the theme of “Jinbocho Area Activation Design Plan 2017.” The project in the design course was aimed at helping students develop and propose designs toward the ultimate goal of attracting visitors to the Jinbocho area. Interim and final student presentations were attended by guests from firms in the Jinbocho area, university officials, and municipal staff from the Chiyoda ward office. Panels summarizing the findings were displayed at the University Student Festival and in the Chiyoda Public Library. This paper reports the process and results from the viewpoint of active learning and community contribution

共立女子大学におけるグラフィックデザイン教育の実践 : 神保町周辺活性化デザイン計画 （提案） 2016

共立女子大学家政学部建築・デザイン学科デザインコースのグラフィックデザイン演習Ⅲにおいて、「神保町周辺活性化デザイン計画2016」をテーマにデザインプロジェクトに取り組んだ。このプロジェクトはデザインコースの学生によるデザイン開発と提案が目的であり、最終的な到達点として神保町への顧客誘致を狙うものである。中間・最終発表会では、神保町周辺の企業、大学関係者、千代田区役所の方々にご臨席いただいた。大学祭および千代田区図書館において成果をまとめたパネルを展示し、作品報告冊子をそれぞれの展示会場で配布した。本稿はグラフィックデザインの教育活動報告である。In the Practice in Graphics Design III, a design course offered by the Department of Architecture and Design at Kyoritsu Women\u27s University Faculty of Home Economics, we undertook a design project focusing on the theme of "Jinbocho Area Activation Design Plan 2016." 高大連携、地域をテーマに分かち合う公開講座 : 八王子甲州街道と神保町活性化デザイン計画の提案

筆者らは、本学園主催による公開講座において、地域を題材に、学生・生徒による発表を取り入れた講座を行った。「甲州街道と神保町」と題し、2018年10月27日、共立女子第二中学校高等学校（以下、第二高）において開催された当該講座は、次の三部構成とした。一）共立女子大学家政学部建築・デザイン学科デザインコース4年生の学生が演習授業で取組んだ「神保町周辺活性化デザイン計画2018」の発表、二）第二高の生徒による「八王子甲州街道」の商店街について調査・制作したマップの発表、三）これらの取組について市役所職員、地元商店主、大学教員、会場来場者を含めたパネルディスカッション。講座の運営は、講義形式による一方向性のものではなく、学生・生徒・市民を交えた双方向型を指向した。本稿は、その取り組みの報告である
