Evidence of Strong Correlation between Instanton and QCD-monopole on SU(2) Lattice
The correlation between instantons and QCD-monopoles is studied both in the
lattice gauge theory and in the continuum theory. An analytical study in the
Polyakov-like gauge, where is diagonalized, shows that the
QCD-monopole trajectory penetrates the center of each instanton, and becomes
complicated in the multi-instanton system. Using the SU(2) lattice with ,
the instanton number is measured in the singular (monopole-dominating) and
regular (photon-dominating) parts, respectively. The monopole dominance for the
topological charge is found both in the maximally abelian gauge and in the
Polyakov gauge.Comment: 4 pages, Latex, 3 figures. Talk presented by H. Suganuma at

QCD Phase Transition at Finite Temperature in the Dual Ginzburg-Landau Theory
We study the pure-gauge QCD phase transition at finite temperatures in the
dual Ginzburg-Landau theory, an effective theory of QCD based on the dual Higgs
mechanism. We formulate the effective potential at various temperatures by
introducing the quadratic source term, which is a new useful method to obtain
the effective potential in the negative-curvature region. Thermal effects
reduce the QCD-monopole condensate and bring a first-order deconfinement phase
transition. We find a large reduction of the self-interaction among
QCD-monopoles and the glueball masses near the critical temperature by
considering the temperature dependence of the self-interaction. We also
calculate the string tension at finite temperatures.Comment: 13 pages, uses PHYZZX ( 5 figures - available on request from

Effects of Chemical Potential on Hadron Masses at Finite Temperature
We study the effects of the chemical potential on the meson mass at
finite temperature. Our preliminary results show that some effects are seen in
the vicinity of the phase transition point. Although the signal is still too
noisy to obtain conclusive physical results within limited statistics, the mass
susceptibility is consistent with zero.Comment: LATTICE98(hightemp), 3 page
Effects of Chemical Potential on Hadron Masses in the Phase Transition Region
We study the response of hadron masses with respect to chemical potential at
. Our preliminary results of the pion channel show that in the confinement phase is significantly larger than that in
the deconfinement phase, which is consistent with the chiral restoration.Comment: LATTICE99 (finite temperature and density), 3 pages, 3 figure
Finite Temperature Gauge Theory on Anisotropic Lattices
The finite temperature transition of QCD can be seen as a change in the
structure of the hadrons and as a symmetry breaking transition -- a change in
the structure of the vacuum. These phenomena are observed differently and carry
complementary information. We aim at a correlated analysis involving hadronic
correlators and the vacuum structure including field and density correlations,
both non-trivial questions.Comment: 3 pages, Talk presented at LATTICE96(finite temperature
Finite Temperature QCD on Anisotropic Lattices
We present results for mesonic propagators in temporal and spatial direction
and for topological properties at T below and above the deconfining transition
in quenched QCD. We use anisotropic lattices and Wilson fermions.Comment: 6 pages, 7 figures, Talk given at 16th International Symposium on
