Upper estimate of martingale dimension for self-similar fractals
We study upper estimates of the martingale dimension of diffusion
processes associated with strong local Dirichlet forms. By applying a general
strategy to self-similar Dirichlet forms on self-similar fractals, we prove
that for natural diffusions on post-critically finite self-similar sets
and that is dominated by the spectral dimension for the Brownian motion
on Sierpinski carpets.Comment: 49 pages, 7 figures; minor revision with adding a referenc
On the role of shake-off in single-photon double ionization
The role of shake-off for double ionization of atoms by a single photon with
finite energy has become the subject of debate. In this letter, we attempt to
clarify the meaning of shake-off at low photon energies by comparing different
formulations appearing in the literature and by suggesting a working
definition. Moreover, we elaborate on the foundation and justification of a
mixed quantum-classical ansatz for the calculation of single-photon double
ionization
Tailored coupled cluster singles and doubles method applied to calculations on molecular structure and harmonic vibrational frequencies of ozone
To assess the separation of dynamic and nondynamic correlations and orbital choice, we calculate the molecular structure and harmonic vibrational frequencies of ozone with the recently developed tailored coupled cluster singles and doubles method (TCCSD). We employ the Hartree-Fock and complete active space (CAS) self-consistent field (SCF) orbitals to perform TCCSD calculations. When using the Hartree-Fock orbitals, it is difficult to reproduce the experimental vibrational frequency of the asymmetric stretching mode. On the other hand, the TCCSD based on the CASSCF orbitals in a correlation consistent polarized valence triple zeta basis yields excellent results with the two symmetric vibrations differing from the experimental harmonic values by 2 cm^(−1) and the asymmetric vibration differing by 9 cm^(−1)
Perimeter of sublevel sets in infinite dimensional spaces
We compare the perimeter measure with the Airault-Malliavin surface measure
and we prove that all open convex subsets of abstract Wiener spaces have finite
perimeter. By an explicit counter-example, we show that in general this is not
true for compact convex domains

Bovine GDF10 gene polymorphism analysis and its association with body measurement traits in Chinese indigenous cattle
The objective of this research was to detect bovine GDF10 gene polymorphism and analyze its association with body measurement traits (BMT) of animals sampled from 6 different Chinese indigenous cattle populations. The populations included Xuelong (Xl), Luxi (Lx), Qinchuan (Qc), Jiaxian red (Jx), Xianang (Xn) and Nanyang (Ny). Blood samples were taken from a total of 417 female animals stratified into age categories of 12–36 months. Polymerase chain reaction–single strand conformation polymorphism (PCR–SSCP) was employed to find out GDF10 single polymorphism nucleotide (SNPs) and explore their possible association with BMT. Sequence analysis of GDF10 gene revealed 3 SNPs in total: 1 in exon1 (G142A) and 2 in exon3 (A11471G, and T12495C). G142A and T12495C SNPs are both synonymous mutation. They showed 2 genotypes namely respectively (GG, GA) and (PP and PB). A11471G SNP is a missense mutation leading to the change of Alanine to Threonine amino acid. It showed three genotypes namely AA, BB and AB. Analysis of association of polymorphism with body measurement traits at the three locus showed that there were significant effects on BMT in Qc, Jx and Ny cattle population. These results suggest that the GDF10 gene might have potential effects on body measurement traits in the above mentioned cattle populations and could be used for marker-assisted selection

Semi-inclusive vector meson production in DIS
We analyze one-particle inclusive DIS in the case when a spin-1 hadron (such
as a vector meson) is observed in the final state. We consider only leading
order contributions in 1/Q, but we include transverse momentum of partons.
Several new fragmentation functions appear in cross sections. One of them can
be measured in connection with the transverse-spin disbtribution function h_1.Comment: 3 pages, uses sprocl.sty, talk given at the DIS2000 conference,

Fredholm Modules on P.C.F. Self-Similar Fractals and their Conformal Geometry
The aim of the present work is to show how, using the differential calculus
associated to Dirichlet forms, it is possible to construct Fredholm modules on
post critically finite fractals by regular harmonic structures. The modules are
d-summable, the summability exponent d coinciding with the spectral dimension
of the generalized laplacian operator associated with the regular harmonic
structures. The characteristic tools of the noncommutative infinitesimal
calculus allow to define a d-energy functional which is shown to be a
self-similar conformal invariant.Comment: 16 page
