Pengaruh Implementasi Forced Distribution Rating Performance Appraisal terhadap Task Performance: Motivasi dan Retensi sebagai Mediasi

The assessment method of human resource that is often used, but has not been widely discussed in empirical studies is the Forced Distribution Rating Performance Appraisal (FDRPA). This study examines the effect of FDRPA on task performance mediated by motivation and retention. Data from Relationship Managers at a bank in Surabaya that implements the FDRPA system. Data collect is 81 people. The results show that FDRPA has a positive effect on task performance. Where, motivation and retention also show the mediating role of the relationship between FDRPA on task performance. This shows that management needs to understand that the factors in improving the performance of the task, there are variable motivation and retention that need to be considered as well. Furthermore, management is expected to be able to manage the implementation of FDRPA well, so that these positive benefits can continue to be sustainable

Collecting the Memories: the Potential of Augmented Reality Souvenirs in Agro-Tourism

Souvenirs are an essential artifact in tourism because tourists want to keep a memory of the places they visit. Despite the enormous variation in souvenirs, there are no decent souvenirs for agro-tourism in Indonesia. Agro-tourism allows tourists to experience the natural beauty of landscapes and to be exposed to farming products, making the agricultural products the souvenirs themselves. Some Indonesian agro-tourism provides undifferentiated souvenirs like keychains or T-shirts that exhibit the place's logo, which we perceive as an opportunity to develop a novel design of souvenir. Our previous study about augmented reality products in agro-tourism delivered good outcomes but needs further research. This article explored the potential of developing agro-tourism souvenirs with technology to engage tourist enthusiasm with augmented reality. The researchers conducted literature studies, interviews and product testings to answer the main research question: “What is the tourist attitude towards augmented reality souvenirs in Indonesian agro-tourism?”. The findings during the prototype trial indicated that augmented reality souvenirs could escalate tourism experiences. However, we found there was a problem in human-computer interaction: some of the target audience's tools cannot support the technology. Although the immersive sensation from augmented reality souvenirs potentially enhances the tourist experience, future studies about the effectiveness of its more extended implementation are necessary. Protective Effect of Methylprednisolone on Contralateral Testes of Wistar Rats Under Torsion-Detortion

Background: Testicular torsion is an emergency situation and requires immediate surgery. Testicular torsion accounts for 13-54% of cases of acute pediatric scrotal disease and occurs in 1 in 4,000 men aged <25 years and 1 in 160 men over 25 years. Even though the intervention was carried out for less than 6 hours, post-detortion testicular tissue mortality was still high, due to reperfusion ischemic injury due to excessive production of ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species). The contralateral testis is often affected after torsion-detortion due to the effects of ROS. The provision of additional therapy after detortion is an urgent need to be found because it can reduce the death of testicular tissue due to reperfusion ischemic injury. Methods: It is an experimental study with a randomized controlled study design with post test only control group design. The research sample was 18 Wistar rats divided into 3 groups. Torsion of the ipsilateral testis is performed, then detortion and intravenous therapy are administered. The apoptotic index (infertility) was observed on the Johnsen score variable, the number of seminiferous tubular cell layers, neutrophil adhesion and the number of necrotic cells in the Eosin Hematoxyline in the contralateral testis. Furthermore, statistical analysis is carried out, the results are presented in tables and figures. Results: There was a significant difference between the Methylprednisolone group and the Torsion Detortion group with p = 0.008 in the Johnsen score variable and the number of seminiferous tubular cell layers. Discussion: Methylprednisolone as an anti-inflammatory has been proven in its function to reduce ROS so that it can reduce reperfusion ischemic injuries. &nbsp
