Geleceğin Otellerine Günümüzden Bakış: Bir Senaryo Analizi

Bu çalışmanın amacı misafirlerin, konaklama işletmelerinde kullanılan veya gelecekte kullanılması öngörülen akıllı turizm teknolojilerine bakış açılarının derinlemesine ortaya konmasıdır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden fenomenoloji kullanılmış ve lisansüstü eğitiminde teknoloji ile ilişkili konuları çalışan Y kuşağına mensup 12 kişi ile görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler MAXQDA 2020 nitel veri analiz programı aracılığı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre konaklama işletmelerinde misafirler daha çok hibrit (insan ve teknoloji) sistem ile hizmet almayı ve akıllı turizm teknolojilerinin konaklama işletmelerinde yaygınlaşmasının konaklama işletmelerinde farklı meslek kollarında istihdamı arttıracağını belirtmiştir. Konaklama işletmelerinde akıllı turizm teknolojilerinin faydaları arasında akıllı turizm teknolojilerinin yaygınlaşması maliyetlerin ve operasyonel hataların azalması ve misafirlere kişiselleştirilmiş hizmet sunulması; akıllı turizm teknolojilerinin zararları arasında ise işsizlik, yaşlı müşterilerin kaybı ve söz konusu teknolojilerin konaklama işletmelerinde daha çok enerji bağımlılığı yaratması yer almaktadır. With the rapid advancement of technology and the importance of contactless tourism during the pandemic process, the use of smart tourism technologies in accommodation businesses has become widespread. The qualitative research method was used in this study, which was carried out to reveal in-depth the perspectives of the guests on smart tourism technologies used in accommodation businesses or expected to be used in the future. In this regard, interviews were held with 12 participants from Generation Y who study technology-related issues during their postgraduate education. The data obtained from the interviews were subjected to through the MAXQDA 2020 qualitative data analysis program. According to the results of the research, the guests stated that getting service with more hybrid (human and technology) systems and the widespread use of smart tourism technologies in accommodation businesses would create new job definitions. Among the benefits of smart tourism technologies in accommodation establishments are the widespread use of smart tourism technologies, reduction of costs and operational errors, and personalized service to guests; among the harms of smart tourism technologies are unemployment, loss of elderly customers, and the fact that these technologies create more energy dependence in accommodation businesses. </p
