Review on the Role of Salicylic Acid in Plants
Salicylic acid and its derivatives as one of the plant hormones produced by the plant naturally belong to the group of phenolic acids and consist of a ring linked to the group of hydroxyl and carboxyl group, and the starting ingredient to form the cinnamic acid. It is mainly manufactured within the plant in cytoplasmic cell. This acid was first discovered in Salix spp., which contains the Salicin compound by 9.5–11% and is present in the plant in the form of free phenolic acids or associated with amino compounds. Symbolized by the symbol SA called chemical ortha hydroxyl benzoic acid chemical formula is C7H6O3
On a linear combination of some expressions in the theory of the univalent functions
Let H (α) denote the class of regular functions f(z) normalized so that f (0)=0 and f′ (0)=1 and satisfying in the unit disc E the condition 0 for fixed α. It is known that H (0) is a particular class NW of close-to-convex univalent functions. The authors show the following results: Theorem 1. Let f(z) ∈ H (α). Then f(z) ∈NW if α≤0 and z ∈ E . Theorem 2 . Let f(z) ∈NW. Then f(z) ∈ H (α) in | z |= r < r α where i) , α≥0 and ii) , α<0. All results are sharp. Theorem 3 . If f(z)=z+a 2 z 2 + a 3 z 3 +... is in H (α) and if μ is an arbitrary complex number, then .Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/41631/1/605_2005_Article_BF01472573.pd
A Review In Medical, Pharmacological and Industrial Importance of Roselle Hibiscus sabdariffa L.
Medicinal plants and plants occupy a major place in the world’s agricultural and industrial production as the main source of pharmaceutical drugs or as a source of active substances that are used in the preparation of medicine. The Roselle plant Hibiscus sabdariffa L.(Malvaceae Family) is known in Arabic as “karkade” and “Roselle”. The continental regions of Africa and Asia are the original home of the Roselle. The months of March and April and proceeds to reap the fruits during the months of October to the end of December. Recent researches and studies have pointed to the use of Roselle plant in the medical, food and industrial fields. It is used in the manufacture of jellies and jams. The syrup is added to some medical preparations. It is refreshing, moisturizing, and helps digestion. It is also a useful drink in the cases of bile. It causes urination and acts as an antifungal agent. and is used in the treatment of high blood pressure, It is also used in cancer treatment
Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome in a child with cyclical vomiting and hypertension: a case report

Abstract

Introduction

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome is characterized by headache, nausea and vomiting, seizures and visual disturbances. It has certain characteristic radiological features, which allow diagnosis in the appropriate clinical setting and enable appropriate clinical therapy to be instituted.

Case presentation

A 10-year-old Caucasian girl who was hospitalized due to recurrent vomiting was diagnosed as having posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome after an initial diagnosis of cyclical vomiting and hypertension was made.

Conclusion

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome is a rare disorder in children. Early recognition of characteristic radiological features is key to the diagnosis as clinical symptoms may be non-specific or mimic other neurological illnesses. To the best of our knowledge this is the first case to report an association between posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, cyclical vomiting and hypertension. Furthermore, in this case, the resolution of the abnormalities found on magnetic resonance imaging over time did not appear to equate with clinical recovery.</p
HOT BANDS IN OVERTONE ABSORPTION TRANSITIONS: HIGH TEMPERATURE PHOTOACOUSTIC SPECTRA
Author Institution: Center for Photochemical Sciences, Bowling Green State UniversityVibrational overtone hot band spectra are presented. The laser photoacoustic spectra of the and overtones of pyrrole, the of methyl isocyanide and acetonitrile. the and of isobutane, and the of cyclohexane were measured at temperatures up to 140C and compared to the room temperature spectra. Hot bands were identified by their temperature dependence. We observed hot bands in pyrrole, methyl isocyanide and isobutane. From the relative intensities of the hot bands to the main band, the wavenumbers of the thermally populated states were and for pyrrole, isobutane and methyl isocyanide, respectively. These values compare well to the bending motion frequencies in these molecules. A large red shift of the hot bands from the main peak was observed, as expected for high overtone transitions due to the large anharmonicity. The anharmonic constants determined from these shifts are for the N-H in pyrrole and for the in methyl isocyanide and cyclohexane. In the case of the absorption the hot band was completely separated from the main transition. In the overtone spectra these hot band absorptions were not separated and result in an apparent increased width of the overtone transition
