    The Effects of ICT Towards Students’ Attitude

    Advancement of Information and communication technology (ICT) rapidly transform many sectors and it does give and impact also to the educational field. Ministry of Education Malaysia starts to plan the curriculum to include ICT and teacher starts exploring different method and teaching style to develop students higher order thinking skills. Teacher plays an important role in designing lesson to integrate ICT as it will give effect to students’ attitude in learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of ICT towards students’ attitude. The methodology of study utilized a systematic document analysis technique where issues related to effect ICT towards student attitude which have given impact to the teachers’ and students’ behavior in the form of any reference are analyzed. SAMR model will show that there is different level of degree of ICT integration that teacher can use and implement in class. Results shows that when ICT is use in class it will give an advantage in terms of student performances, motivation and efficiency. The student and classroom environment itself will be dynamic, active listening, collaborative learning, interactivity and communication will take place. Maximizing ICT potential can create and enhance learning to take place more effectively and transforming from teacher-centered to student-centered learning which are in line with the 21st century goals

    The Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) has emerged as one of the most influential contributor in the development and landscape of the modern world. Students in tertiary education are expected to get out of the way to meet the challenges posed by IR 4.0. One of the fields that is affected by this wave of revolution is Education, therefore it is pertinent for a University to provide space and opportunity for future graduates to have a sense of self-identity and competitive ability. Following this view, a student’s university experience is significantly correlated with the development of his well-being. The development includes the acquisition of knowledge and skills in their field of choice, although it is generally preferable for a student to acquire skills in various fields. Competent students are those who are well-equipped with knowledge, skills and values that are relevant to current practice. Drawing from this idea, the purpose of this paper is to evaluate students’ challenges, skills, and preparations at the University in facing the IR 4.0 era. A qualitative case study was conducted, employing interviews and document analysis to obtain data from 35 respondents. The respondents were comprised of university students who were selected through purposive sampling. The findings identified several main skills; career and life skills, learning and innovation skills, information, media and technology skills. This study discussed the possible scenarios that might be faced by the students and the university in depth. Based on the findings, proactive measures are needed to encourage students to improve their skills, particularly the skills related to information technology, knowledge, and personal soft skills. Such measures are crucial to fulfil the challenges of IR 4.0

    Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 had severely impacted human being as much as it helps the advancement in human life. Despite the growing problem regarding mental health especially among youth, there were still hope in order to bring happiness again to its original states or better. In order to do so, people need to have a correct definition of happiness which can bring them to fulfilment of live and tranquillity. This study aims to identify the concept of happiness.
