One hundred sixty two patients of osteoarthritis (OA)knee were studied to describe their clinical profile. Thepatients were included according to the criteria developedby the American College of Rheumatology. Detailedhistory, clinical examination and X-rays were carried out.The data were analysed statistically and the results wereexpressed in percentage and frequency. In this study, 96(59.3%) were male and 66 (40.7%) were female. Themean age of the subject was 53.73 ± 11.35 years. Mostof the patients of were in the age group of 50 to 59 years.Maximum number of females in the age group of 35 to45 years was affected. Most of the males were affectedin the later ages, between 55 to 65 years. Most of thepatients were middle class (68.5%) and housewives(35.8%). Mean height was 159.99 ± 8.12 cm and meanweight was 63.34 ± 11.60 kg. Mean duration of symptomswas 25.25 ± 38.85 months. Most patients gave the historyof gradual onset of the pain (87.7%). Most of the patientshad no morning stiffness in the knee (90.1%). Morningstiffness was present in 9.3% but it was for less than onehour. Maximum patients had intermittent pain (53.7%)but 46.3% patients had constant pain. By this study, itcan be concluded that OA knee is commoner in malesbut females develop it earlier in the life than the males

Towards Full Automated Drive in Urban Environments: A Demonstration in GoMentum Station, California

Each year, millions of motor vehicle traffic accidents all over the world cause a large number of fatalities, injuries and significant material loss. Automated Driving (AD) has potential to drastically reduce such accidents. In this work, we focus on the technical challenges that arise from AD in urban environments. We present the overall architecture of an AD system and describe in detail the perception and planning modules. The AD system, built on a modified Acura RLX, was demonstrated in a course in GoMentum Station in California. We demonstrated autonomous handling of 4 scenarios: traffic lights, cross-traffic at intersections, construction zones and pedestrians. The AD vehicle displayed safe behavior and performed consistently in repeated demonstrations with slight variations in conditions. Overall, we completed 44 runs, encompassing 110km of automated driving with only 3 cases where the driver intervened the control of the vehicle, mostly due to error in GPS positioning. Our demonstration showed that robust and consistent behavior in urban scenarios is possible, yet more investigation is necessary for full scale roll-out on public roads.Comment: Accepted to Intelligent Vehicles Conference (IV 2017

CAMHID: Camera motion histogram descriptor and its application to cinematographic shot classification

© 1991-2012 IEEE. In this paper, we propose a nonparametric camera motion descriptor for video shot classification. In the proposed method, a motion vector field (MVF) is constructed for each consecutive video frame by computing the motion vector (MV) of each macroblock. Then, the MVFs are divided into a number of local region of equal size. Next, the inconsistent/noisy MVs of each local region are eliminated by a motion consistency analysis. The remaining MVs of each local region from a number of consecutive frames are further collected for a compact representation. Initially, a matrix is formed using the MVs. Then, the matrix is decomposed using a singular value decomposition technique to represent the dominant motion. Finally, the angle of the most variance retaining principal component is computed and quantized to represent the motion of a local region by using a histogram. In order to represent the global camera motion, the local histograms are combined. The effectiveness of the proposed motion descriptor for video shot classification is tested by using a support vector machine. First, the proposed camera motion descriptors for video shots classification are computed on a video data set consisting of regular camera motion patterns (e.g., pan, zoom, tilt, static). Then, we apply the camera motion descriptors with an extended set of features to the classification of cinematographic shots. The experimental results show that the proposed shot level camera motion descriptor has a strong discriminative capability to classify different camera motion patterns of different videos effectively. We also show that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods

Resonant Inelastic X-Ray Scattering at the K Edge of Ge

We study the resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) at the KK edge of Ge. We measure RIXS spectra with systematically varying momenta in the final state. The spectra are a measure of exciting an electron-hole pair. We find a single peak structure (except the elastic peak) as a function of photon energy, which is nearly independent of final-state momenta. We analyze the experimental data by means of the band structure calculation. The calculation reproduces well the experimental shape, clarifying the implication of the spectral shape.Comment: 17 pages,9 figures, Please also see our related paper: cond-mat/040500

Anisotropy of Resonant Inelastic X-Ray Scattering at the K Edge of Si:Theoretical Analysis

We investigate theoretically the resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) at the KK edge of Si on the basis of an ab initio calculation. We calculate the RIXS spectra with systematically varying transfered-momenta, incident-photon energy and incident-photon polarization. We confirm the anisotropy of the experimental spectra by Y. Ma {\it et al}. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 74, 478 (1995)), providing a quantitative explanation of the spectra.Comment: 18 pages, 11 figure

Islam tough us how people can organize their own life and form a grub. Organize from the needs of the body, spiritual until socials needs that do not past from other business. That thing do not past from the ordinances that obtain or called by law. Like a people needed that vital and can appear benefit to all of people. But in practices, the benefits from all human still can not be seen. Like ceremony in business that do by multi level marketing enterprises PT. Melia Sehat Sejahtera branch of Kartosuro and new member candidates in set the deal but still has as an element garar ( not clear ). From the side of the motion of the business that related to the practice of contact mlm business in the look of viewpoints of Islam. Kind of this research that used by researcher is the research field, and analytic method that use the qualitative description. And steps that used in this data took is observation technical, interview and documentation. Based the method that used in this research, so when we looked from the angle of view of Islam. Contracted in this business transaction should be not happened. Because in that transaction contract has element garar that prohibited of Islam law is any not clear in the way of that business. Like benefit that not know when that contract agreed. Thus, contract like this can avoid or ask the transparent from all of agreement in that contract. So that contract in business that we do appropriate with the law and the Islam law

Khaibar is a battle whom Prophet Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam is involved to fight against the accursed Jews. This war has a great position in Islamic history whereas Allah azza wa jalla distinguishes between the truth and the falsehood. Beside Allah cuts the roots of Kufur, Khaibar battle has also taught Moslem about some Fiqh laws related with multiple discourses in Islam. They are associated with the cleansing from impurities, worship, human relationship, eating and drinking manner. This thesis discussed about Fiqh law which is related Muamalah/Human relationship as the main subject discussion, citing the opinions from some scholars about the subject, and concludes by mentioning the most preferable opinion according to the author. In writing this thesis the author applied “Istiqro” and “Istimbathy” method, in which the author explored and used some Fiqh law related with human relationship and then gathers and compared all scholar’ opinions of Fiqh, includes their evidences. The author also applied At-Tahlily method, where the author described and explaind Fiqh problem and its postulate related with human relationship. And then the author also stated some corrections for the postulate if exists. In the conclusion the author will mention the most preferable opinions and their evidences. Based in the theory that has been written, the author can conclud these following results: “Musaaqoh” and “Muzaaro'ah” are legal or permissible, the illegitimacy of “Riba Fadl” and temporary marriages, the suggestion to conduct wedding party, then the illegitimacy of initiating combat (attacking) against the infidels in particular months (Zulqoidah, Zulhijjah, Muharram, Rojab), the permissible of conducting a truce with the enemy on certain condition which gives benefit for Moslems, the necessity of removing “Ahlul-Zimmah” from Arabian peninsula, and the permissible to fight the infidels without preceded by persuading them to islam if they have got the message of “Da’wah

The purpose of this research is to observe the influence of ta’wil on the argumens of shari’i in deciding certain law wich was taken from al-Qur’an and Hadith. In this study, the researcher analyzed and studied the forms of scholar’s ta’wil in the topic of muamalat of the book entitled Nailul Authar. This research is based on analysis and criticism methods, in wich the authors collected the problems that have been agreed by the scholars by using ta’wil. Than the researcher collected the forms of the ta’wil, and analyze and study in the accordance with the method of Ushul Fiqh. The author would then examine and measure the form of the ta’wil by returning it to the terms of the provision that has been agreed by the scholars, and detirmining wich ta’wil is based on strong proposition and wich ta’wil relies on a weak proposition, or even is not based on a strong proposition. This study concludes that not all scholar’s ta’wil towards certain proposition is true, because there is also the weak and rejected ta’wil. Therefore the reader can take the righ attitude toward the different’ scholars’ arguments

The emergence of Islamic banking was considered as a response to the desire of Muslim communities to disassociate from usury (riba based) system, which has rotten in Muslim countries since the period of imperialism. Islamic banking became a very important matter and considered as the modern day requirements of economic and social necessity for Muslim communities because of its sublime goal. The development of time increasing the diversity of financial transactions, both in trading and banking business, which has no provisions in the old sources of Islamic jurisprudence. This dangerous phenomenon was the reason for the importance of a Sharia Supervisory Board to ensure all of banking transactions comply with the rules and principles of sharia. This research focused on sharia supervision on Islamic banking in Indonesia, especially about National Sharia Board. This research applied qualitative analytical descriptive methodology by collecting, reading, and analyzing references about the research topic. The limitations of this research were about: how the sharia supervision system implemented on Islamic banking in Indonesia, how the National Sharia Board played their roles and faces the challenges in performing their activities, and how the method applied by the National Sharia Board in issuing a fatwa. After conducting research and analysis on several references and experiences in the field, the research found that: the National Sharia Board in Indonesia has played their roles, especially in developing Islamic finance industry, ensuring financial and banking transaction comply with the rules and principles of sharia, and providing awareness and guidance to the Muslim communities. There were challenges, internally and externally, facing by the National Sharia Board in Indonesia. Internal problems around on human resources quality, while external problems were about legislation support and various public opinion in society. The issuing of fatwa on financial transactions was the authority of the National Sharia Board. The National Sharia Board hold on procedures, specific steps, and certain agreed methodology in issuing fatwa. Nevertheless, there still some fatwas that caused controversy in the Islamic community
