    There are not many sufficient studies made on the application of artificial intelligence techniques to access troubleshooting activities as it always taken into consideration in a verbal sense and yet is not dealt with mathematically. The proposed study extended Choy, John, Thomas & Yan [1] models using either semi-parametric or non-parametric approaches of reliability analysis to examine the relationship between repair time and various risk factors of interest. Then the models will be embedded to neural networks to provide better estimation of repairing parameters. The proposed models can be used by maintenance managers as a benchmarking to develope quality service to enhance competitiveness among service providers in corrective maintenance field.     Nowadays, the demand for advanced and high performance computational method for comparing and searching biological sequences have increased according to exponential growth rate of biological sequences database. Besides this demand, the requirement for high performance and sensitive comparison and alignment tools have also increased after the advantage of the system for defining the solution relates to Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA), human genomes and molecular biology figured out through bioinformatics study. Thereby, this research is an attempt to study and investigate the potential of data minimization technique approach in improving the process of aligning and comparing DNA sequences for determine the region of similarity between two or more DNA sequences. Specifically, the research objectives are i) to study various DNA sequences alignment algorithms characteristics, architectures and techniques such as scoring functions, optimal alignment and gap; and ii) to investigate the potential of data minimization approach in minimizing the size of data towards discovering the region of similarity in DNA sequences alignment and comparison and iii) to analyze the optimal sequences alignment properties for molecular biology and bioinformatics application. This study will initially involve algorithm modification, mathematical formulation, logic design and simulation for data minimization and existing DNA sequences alignment algorithm. At the end of the study, it is expecting that we will discover the potential of data minimization technique in minimizing the size of data towards aligning DNA sequences using basic dynamic programming concept

    The correlation of surface roughness and tool edge condition under sustainable cryogenic machining

    This paper investigates the correlation between surface roughness of Inconel 718 and tool edge condition of ball nose inserts when milled at high speed. The cutting parameters were varied as follows; cutting speed: 120–140 m/min, feed rate: 0.15–0.25 mm/tooth, and axial depth of cut: 0.3–0.7 mm. For a sustainable machining approach, the experimental works were carried out under a smooth supply of cryogenic coolant which is a mix of liquid CO2, gas CO2, and compressed air. The experimental results revealed that the range of surface roughness obtained is from 0.114 to 0.197 µm. Along the cutting process, the tool wear patterns such as the abrasion, chipping, and the intermittent build-up-edge near the depth of cut cause the rapid increase of tool wear as well as the roughness of the machined surface with a significant correlation between them. However, the roughness was slowly reduced and became stable with the increase of notch wear. The finding could be used as a prediction reference for monitoring surface roughness and tool wear progress under cryogenic conditions. It also provides foundations for further research on machinability under this sustainable approach

In accordance with the rules that have been determined by Muhammadiyah Vocational High School (SMK) to know the student achievement, it is needed criteria to determine who will be selected to be the most outstanding student. The purpose of this study was to design the Student score Information System as a support in decision-making and daily operational purposes, and to compare the effectiveness and efficiency of data processing and presentation of information between existing systems and information systems to be proposed. In improving the development process that the author will develop Student Information System as a supporter in decision making using Visual Basic 6.0 programming language. Research conducted in this case was descriptive qualitative research by conducting survey on the object of research that is in Vocational High School (SMK) Muhammadiyah Pringsewu District by using data collecting technique there were observation, interview, and literature study. The conclusion of writing this research is expected that the new system can provide convenience to the parties involved in performing data processing quickly and accurately, and can store data safely to assist in the process of service to students and society generally

Android guitar application presents about the correct guitar playing procedure and there chord and chord sound, not only see the chord form but we can listen to chords. Application made using prototyping method so that will continue to be fixed when there are deficiencies. This application will continue to grow in accordance with the needs of the user.     The objective of this research is to examine and to indentify the level of civilizational dialogue among 3rd year students of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). This research is focusing on the respondents culture of interaction and dialogue, honesty and values of concern and an attitude of tolerance among the students. This is a descriptive study using questionnaire containing 27 items using Likert Scale 1 to 4. It has been distributed to 467 respondents among 3th year students from various Faculty in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and analysized using Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) 11.5 for Windows to get the frequency, percentage and mean which is presented in a table form. Overall outcome of this research shows that the level of score is average, however values of concern and the level of tolerance are high. This high level score could be improved with the suggestion has been presented in this research. In future, university management could organize more programs on civilizational dialogue among this student of University Technology of Malaysia. In general it was found that the foundation of civilizational dialogue among the respondents are strong. Nurturing and motivating towards upgrading the programs and internalization of civilizational dialogue should be continously developed. All the effots in promoting the dialogue should be supported by various layer of society especially the leaders
