W Laboratorium Charakteryzacji Materia艂贸w Wysokiej Czysto艣ci ITME przeprowadzono analiz臋 sk艂adu chemicznego kilku rodzaj贸w diod LED obecnych na polskim rynku [2]. Om贸wiono zawarto艣膰 metali kancerogennych oraz metali niebezpiecznych dla 艣rodowiska . Por贸wnano je z rezultatami uzyskanymi w UCI (Uniwersytet Kalifornia) opisanymi w [1] i normami TTCL.An analysis of the chemical composition of several types of light-emitting diodes available on the Polish market was conducted in the Department of High Purity Materials Characterization of ITME [2]. In the course of the analysis, the content of carcinogenic metals and environmentally hazardous metals was explored. The findings were compared with the results achieved at the University of California, Irvine, described in [1], and with TTCL standards

Celem niniejszej pracy by艂o oznaczenie g艂贸wnych pierwiastk贸w (Y, Al, Nd) kryszta艂贸w YAM niedomieszkowanych i domieszkowanych neodymem oraz zanieczyszcze艅 艣ladowych. Pierwszym etapem pracy by艂o dobranie odpowiednich warunk贸w pracy urz膮dzenia do mikrofalowego roztwarzania w celu przeprowadzenia pr贸bek do fazy ciek艂ej. Nast臋pnie wykonano analiz臋 jako艣ciow膮 i p贸艂ilo艣ciow膮 z wykorzystaniem spektrografu emisyjnego w celu okre艣lenia poziomu zanieczyszcze艅. Oznaczono za pomoc膮 FAAS Al i Nd przy zastosowaniu 0,1% chlorku cezu (bufor jonizacyjny) i 0,2% chlorku lantanu (bufor chemiczny) oraz oznaczono itr za pomoc膮 ICP-OES.The purpose of this study was to determine both the major elements (Y, Al, Nd) of YAM crystals, undoped and doped with neodymium, and impurities. The first stage of the study was the selection of conditions appropriate for microwave digestion in order to transfer the samples to the liquid phase. Then, the qualitative and semiquantitative analysis of the samples using emission spectrography was performed with a view to identifying the level of impurities. The concentration of aluminium and neodymium in YAM samples was determined by FAAS, using 0.1% of cesium chloride (ionization buffer) and 0.2% of lanthanum chloride (chemical buffer). The concentration of yttrium was measured by the ICP-OES method
