Distribution modeling for Colorado SWAP plants of greatest conservation need: interim report - April 2022

Includes bibliographical references.The revised 2015 Colorado State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) includes 117 Plant Species of Greatest Conservation Need (PGCN) in the Rare Plant Addendum (Colorado Parks and Wildlife 2015). These species are ranked globally critically imperiled (G1) or imperiled (G2), at risk throughout their range and under threat of extinction. Known locations of these species are recorded in a statewide geospatial database maintained by the Colorado Natural Heritage Program (CNHP). However, surveys for these species have not been comprehensive, and therefore information on their distribution is incomplete. For this project, models of species distribution were created using information on known locations and species habitat requirements. These distribution models will be included in the conservation data sharing platform, the Colorado Conservation Data Explorer (CODEX), in order to help conserve and protect these PGCN though environmental review and conservation planning

Unterstuetzung ganzheitlicher Arbeit im SHK-Handwerk, durch nutzergerechte Gestaltung elektronischer Dokumente (ELDok). Teilvorhaben 1: Nutzergerechte Gestaltung elektronischer Dokumente im SHK-Handwerk Schlussbericht

Im Rahmen des Vorhabens wurde das seiten- und objektorientierte Dokumentations- u. Qualifizierungswerkzeug 'ELDOK' weiterentwickelt und systematisch fuer die Zielgruppe SHK-Handwerker vereinfacht. In den durchgefuehrten Praxistests hat sich die Navigation im Lesermodus als benutzerfreundlich herausgestellt. Texte und Bild-Objekte lassen sich leicht kopieren u. ermoeglichen einen plattformuebergreifenden Datenaustausch. Neu implementiert wurde eine Volltextsuche, die sich ueber alle Buecher eines Laufwerks erstreckt. Eine weitere Praxisanforderung fuehrte zu der multilingualen Loesung, die es ermoeglicht, jede Applikation in unterschiedliche Sprachen mit speziellen Fonts zu uebersetzen. Die Systemunterstuetzung (z.B. Druckdialog, Online-Hilfe) ist in Deutsch, Englisch und Franzoesisch verfuegbar. Die Online-Hilfe kann als Handbuch ausgedruckt werden. Zur Umsetzung der projektspezifischen Vorgabe 'jeder Nutzer multimediale Dokumente ist auch Autor' wurden die Autorenfunktionen fuer die Zielgruppe 'edv-technischer Laie aber Experte in seinem Arbeitsgebiet' systematisch vereinfacht. ELDOK-Autoren benoetigen keine Programmierkenntnisse. Die den Schaltflaechen-Symbolen hinterlegten Funktionen haben sich in den Feldtests als intuitiv und leicht erlernbar erwiesen. Mit Hilfe des Werkzeuges ist der Handwerker selbst in der Lage multimedialer Arbeitsdokumente zu erstellen, u.a. kundenspezifische Anlagendokumentationen, individuell gestaltete Beratungsmodule, nutzergerechte Instandhaltungsdokumente, Reparaturanleitungen etc. Fuer die Distribution per CD-ROM sind die Applikationen auf WINDOWS 3.11-, Win 95/98- und NT-Systemen mit der lizenzfreien Runtime-Programmversion lauffaehig. Der Schlussbericht enthaelt eine CD-ROM. Darin sind die Projektergebnisse der Verbundpartner und das ELDOK-Autorensystem in der Testversion enthalten. Mit dem Vorhaben wurde u.a. eine medientechnische Entwicklung angestossen, die es erlaubt, das Erfahrungwissen unterschiedlicher Akteure fuer das Arbeitshandeln Dritter zu nutzen und ein Beitrag geleistet zur Erhoehung der Attraktivitaet von Handwerksarbeit. (orig.)In the project the prototype of a electronic documentation- and qualification system ELDok has been developped. Tests under practical conditions proved the userfriendliness of the navigation in the reader mode. Text and graphic objects may be copied easily and provide data exchange. A full text research comprising all documents of a drive has been developed and tested successfully. The multilingual work environment lead to the development of a software solution, which enables to build up applications which use simultaneously different languages and character fonts. The system dialoges provide German, English and French language, additionally the following document languages may be used: Italien, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish language. A main objective was to offer authoring possibilities to every reader of the documents. The authoring functions are implemented in order to allow people having practical knowledge but no programming experience to design and distribute electronic documents. During the practical tests the intuitive authoring interface has been proved as very effective. Using the authoring system the craftsmen may produce their own work-documents, documents used in the individuel consulting, customized installation documents, individual maintenance work sheets, repairing instructions a.s.o. The documents may be read in any WIN 3.x, WIN 95/98 and WIN NT environment using a licence free reader version. The final report contains a CD-ROM comprising the electronic documents produced by the project partners and a test version of the authoring tool providing a limited authoring functionality. The project has introduced a new technology which enables that skilled workers can document their practical experiences in order to provide practical knowledge and use others work experiences in a cooperative work organisation. The project contributes to the attractiveness of craftsmens work.
