Alternatif Penegakan Hukum dalam Perspektif Islam

Hukum merupakan sarana untuk mengendalikan aktivitas kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Oleh karena itu, penegakan hukum sangat didambakan masyarakat Indonesia saat ini. Namun untuk mewujudkan dambaannya, tidak cukup hanya dengan undang-undang belaka, tetapi harus memperhatikan tiga fenomena hukum, yaitu: substansi hukum, struktur hukum dan budaya hukum, dalam arti adanya konsistensi antara law in books dan law in action. Belum terwujudnya penegakan hukum di Indonesia disebabkan adanya tiga faktor yang menjadi kendala utama yaitu: 1) faktor kualitas hidup masyarakat, 2) faktor rumusan hukum, 3) faktor kualitas sumber daya manusia. Akibat tiga kendala tersebut, menjadi penyebab terpuruknua Indonesia disegala bidang. Untuk mengantisipasi keterpurukan yang dialami bangsa Indonesia sekarang, maka alternatif yang perlu dipertimbangkan adalah pendekatan agama dan moral, dalam arti pembinaan Akhlaqul Karimah

Pembibitan Secara Stek-mini Tanaman Melati [Jasminum Sambac (L.) Aiton]

The experiment aimed at maximizing the speed growth and number of plants obtained by the mini-steck of jasmine (Jasminum sambac (L.) Aiton) cv. Emprit. Changes in benzylaminopurine (BAP), indolebutiric acid (IBA), and “rooton” concentration.were evaluated. Branchs were used as the plant material source, which consisted of axillary buds obtained after careful excision of the leaves. The following treatments were tested: solid media (soil : sand = 1 : 1) with different BAP concentrations (0.1, 3 and 5 mg/kg), IBA (0, 100, 200 and 300 ppm/kg), and “rooton” (0, 100, 200 and 300 ppm/kg) The results showed that shoots growth slowly in the media suplemented with BAP, however, IBA 200 ppm/kg media is better. Rooton with 300 ppm/kg media showed best results for rooting induction

Violating Politeness Principles in Cellular Phone Provider

In daily life, we need language to express our feeling. One of the language USAges can be seen through the advertisement. The advertiser persuades the customers to use the product in many ways; one of them is through language. Language in television advertisement plays the important role to reach the goal of advertisement. Since we know that the viewers of television in Indonesia is about more than 128 million, we can imagine how strong the influence of television commercial is. To catch the viewer\u27s attention, the advertiser sometimes used some strategies. It is good if they use the polite language, but if they use the impolite language, it gives the bad impact to the viewer. In this thesis, the writer does not want to analyse the bad impact of language advertisement, but she prefers to analyse the kinds of politeness principles that are violated by the advertisements especially cellular phone provider. The purposes of this thesis are to find out what kind of politeness principles that are violated by the advertisement and to find out what is the intention of violating such principles. The writer classifies the violation through the six maxims of politeness principles by Leech (1983). In collecting the data, the writer used documentation method and non-participant observation. The population of this research are all the cellular phone provider advertisements in Indonesia, but the samples are chosen purposively, only the advertisements that violate the politeness principle that become the data of this research. In analysing the data, the writer uses the politeness principles theory proposed by Leech as the instrument of research, to classify the advertisement according to the maxim they violate. The writer also relates the violation with the ethic regulation of politeness principles proposed by Dewan Periklanan Indonesia. After analysing the kinds of maxim, the writer extends to the intention of violating through the explicature and implicature meaning. In this research, the writer found 12 advertisements that violated the politeness principles. The violations occur in six maxims of politeness principles, such as tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim and sympathy maxim. Most of advertisements that violate the politeness principles also violate the ethic regulation of advertisement. Then, the general intentions of those violations were to attract the viewer\u27s attention to use their product

Pengaruh Xantorizol Terhadap Sel Hepatoma HepG2

The investigation of xanthorrizol antiproliferative effect and the mechanism of cell death in human hepatoma cell line HepG2 had been investigated. Antiproliferative assay using methylene blue staining revealed that xantorizol inhibited the proliferation of HepG2 cells with an IC50 value of 4.17 ± 0.03 μg/ml. The antiproliferative activity of xanthorrhizol was due to apoptosis induced in HepG2 cells and not necrosis, which was confirmed by the Tdt-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) assay. The xanthorrhizol-treated HepG2 cells showed typical apoptotic morphology such as DNA fragmentation. The apoptosis mediated by xanthorrhizol in HepG2 cells was associated with the activation of tumor suppressor p53 and down-regulation of the antiapoptotic Bcl-2 protein expression, but not Bax. The levels of Bcl-2 protein expression decreased 24-hrs after treatment with xanthorrhizol, and remained lower than controls throughout the experiment resulting in a shift in the Bax to Bcl-2 ratio thus favouring apoptosis. In conclusion, xanthorrhizol exerts antiproliverative effects on HepG2 cells via apoptosis by modulating p53 and Bcl-2 protein levels.&nbsp
