A Typha Angustifolia-like MoS2/carbon nanofiber composite for high performance Li-S batteries

    Get PDF
A Typha Angustifolia-like MoS2/carbon nanofiber composite as both a chemically trapping agent and redox conversion catalyst for lithium polysulfides has been successfully synthesized via a simple hydrothermal method. Cycling performance and coulombic efficiency have been improved significantly by applying the Typha Angustifolia-like MoS2/carbon nanofiber as the interlayer of a pure sulfur cathode, resulting in a capacity degradation of only 0.09% per cycle and a coulombic efficiency which can reach as high as 99%

AttnGAN: Fine-Grained Text to Image Generation with Attentional Generative Adversarial Networks

In this paper, we propose an Attentional Generative Adversarial Network (AttnGAN) that allows attention-driven, multi-stage refinement for fine-grained text-to-image generation. With a novel attentional generative network, the AttnGAN can synthesize fine-grained details at different subregions of the image by paying attentions to the relevant words in the natural language description. In addition, a deep attentional multimodal similarity model is proposed to compute a fine-grained image-text matching loss for training the generator. The proposed AttnGAN significantly outperforms the previous state of the art, boosting the best reported inception score by 14.14% on the CUB dataset and 170.25% on the more challenging COCO dataset. A detailed analysis is also performed by visualizing the attention layers of the AttnGAN. It for the first time shows that the layered attentional GAN is able to automatically select the condition at the word level for generating different parts of the image

Characterization of geolocation accuracy of Suomi NPP Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder measurements

The Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) onboard Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership satellite has 22 channels at frequencies ranging from 23 to 183 GHz for probing the atmospheric temperature and moisture under all weather conditions. As part of the ATMS calibration and validation activities, the geolocation accuracy of ATMS data must be well characterized and documented. In this study, the coastline crossing method (CCM) and the land-sea fraction method (LFM) are utilized to characterize and quantify the ATMS geolocation accuracy. The CCM is based on the inflection points of the ATMS window channel measurements across the coastlines, whereas the LFM collocates the ATMS window channel data with high-resolution land-sea mask data sets. Since the ATMS measurements provide five pairs of latitude and longitude data for K, Ka, V, W, and G bands, respectively, the window channels 1, 2, 3, 16, and 17 from each of these five bands are chosen for assessing the overall geolocation accuracy. ATMS geolocation errors estimated from both methods are generally consistent from 40 cases in June 2014. The ATMS along-Track (cross-Track) errors at nadir are within ±4.2 km (±1.2 km) for K/Ka, ±2.6 km (±2.7 km) for V bands, and ±1.2 km (±0.6 km) at W and G bands, respectively. At the W band, the geolocation errors derived from both algorithms are probably less reliable due to a reduced contrast of brightness temperatures in coastal areas. These estimated ATMS along-Track and cross-Track geolocation errors are well within the uncertainty requirements for all bands. © 2016. American Geophysical Union. All Rights Reserved

Values of a novel comprehensive prognostic nutritional index (FIDA) in the prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer

BackgroundThis study focuses on determining the prognostic and predictive value of the comprehensive prognostic nutrition index (FIDA) in individuals undergoing treatment for Non-Small-Cell Lung Carcinoma (NSCLC).MethodsThis retrospective analysis encompassed 474 of NSCLC patients treated from January 2010 through December 2019. Employing the Lasso-COX regression approach, eight blood parameters were identified as significant prognostic indicators. These parameters contributed to the formulation of the comprehensive prognostic nutrition index FIDA. Utilizing X-tile software, the patient cohort was categorized into either a high or low FIDA group based on an established optimal threshold. The cohort was then randomly segmented into a training set and a validation set using SPSS software. Subsequent steps involved conducting univariate and multivariate regression analyze to develop a prognostic nomogram. The effectiveness of this nomogram was evaluated by calculating the AUC.ResultsAnalysis of survival curves for both the training and validation sets revealed a poorer prognosis in the high FIDA group compared to the low FIDA group. This trend persisted across various subgroups, including gender, age, and smoking history, with a statistical significance (p<0.05). Time-dependent ROC and diagnostic ROC analyses affirmed that FIDA serves as an effective diagnostic and prognostic marker in NSCLC. Moreover, Cox regression multivariate analysis established FIDA as an independent prognostic factor for NSCLC. The prognostic nomogram, integrating FIDA and clinical data, demonstrated substantial prognostic utility and outperformed the traditional TNM staging systemin predicting overall survival (OS).ConclusionFIDA emerges as a dependable predictor of outcomes for patients with NSCLC. It offers a practical, cost-effective tool for prognostication in regular clinical applications

The objective is to explore the clinical methods and effects of applying Huatan Quyu Decoction in the treatment of patients with cerebral infarction. The research work was carried out in our hospital, and the research was carried out from November 2019 to November 2020. Patients with cerebral infarction were selected as the research object, and the number of patients was 80. They were randomly divided into two groups and one group was given conventional rehabilitation therapy as the control group, the other group was given Huatan Quyu Decoction as the experimental group, and the effects of different treatments on patients were compared and analyzed. Before treatment intervention, there was no significant difference in the scores of neurological impairment, limb motor ability and ability of daily living between the two groups of patients, P>0.05. After treatment intervention, the CSS score of the experimental group decreased and the BI score increased, which has significant differences compared with the control group, and the experimental group has higher scores for sensory and motor function. In addition, the effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was 95.00%, which was significantly higher than the 77.50% in the control group. The difference between the two groups was significant and meaningful. The treatment effect was better in the experimental group. The application of Huatan Quyu Decoction in the process of treating patients with cerebral infarction can effectively promote the recovery of patients and improve the quality of life of patients. The clinical application is significant

Breakthrough innovation is the focus of the society in the era of knowledge economy. Employee innovation of the enterprises is the starting point of enterprise innovation behavior, and it is the result of the combination of complex psychological capital. Meanwhile, breakthrough innovation often comes from the result of knowledge sharing brought by teamwork. At present, existing studies mainly reveal the influence of knowledge and knowledge structure on the performance of radical innovation. However, the relationship between psychological capital, knowledge sharing and the breakthrough innovation performance needs to be systematically studied. Therefore, this study adopted a research approach, that is, statistical analyses were performed by using SPSS Version 18 and AMOS version 26 (Statistical analyses performed by using SPSS Version 18 and AMOS version 26).This study collected data on employees of 345 different new high-tech enterprises to explore the mechanism by which psychological capital and knowledge sharing affects the breakthrough innovation performance. The research results respond to a positive correlation between psychological capital and knowledge sharing affects the breakthrough innovation performance. Moreover, knowledge sharing has a mediating effect on the effect of psychological capital on breakthrough innovation performance, and the effect is weakened. which is of great theoretical significance for exploring the relationship between psychological capital and knowledge sharing affects the breakthrough innovation performance
