Research on Marketing Strategies of Pinduoduo based on SWOT Analysis

    Get PDF
The development of the Internet has led to a dramatic increase in online shopping users. E-commerce enterprises have been rising and becoming very successful in China in recent years. As an e-commerce platform established in 2015 and going public in 2018, Pinduoduo has become one of the three biggest e-commerce in China in a short period of time. This attracts many people’s attention, which drives people to explore the reason behind it. SWOT analysis is a model that enables us to analyzing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of an enterprise. In this study, we use SWOT analysis model to analyze the marketing strategy of Pinduoduo, summarize the current status of Pinduoduo, and give some suggestion for itself and the other e-commerce platforms

Models of preconception care implementation in selected countries.

Globally, maternal and child health faces diverse challenges depending on the status of the development of the country. Some countries have introduced or explored preconception care for various reasons. Falling birth rates and increasing knowledge about risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes led to the introduction of preconception care in Hong Kong in 1998, and South Korea in 2004. In Hong Kong, comprehensive preconception care including laboratory tests are provided to over 4000 women each year at a cost of 75perperson.InKorea,about6075 per person. In Korea, about 60% of the women served have known medical risk history, and the challenge is to expand the program capacity to all women who plan pregnancy, and conducting social marketing. Belgium has established an ad hoc-committee to develop a comprehensive social marketing and professional training strategy for pilot testing preconception care models in the French speaking part of Belgium, an area that represents 5 million people and 50,000 births per year using prenatal care and pediatric clinics, gynecological departments, and the genetic centers. In China, Guangxi province piloted preconceptional HIV testing and counseling among couples who sought the then mandatory premarital medical examination as a component of the three-pronged approach to reduce mother to child transmission of HIV. HIV testing rates among couples increased from 38% to 62% over one year period. In October 2003, China changed the legal requirement of premarital medical examination from mandatory to "voluntary." This change was interpreted by most women that the premarital health examination was "unnecessary" and overall premarital health examination rates dropped. Social marketing efforts piloted in 2004 indicated that 95% of women were willing to pay up to RMB 100 (US12) for preconception health care services. These case studies illustrate programmatic feasibility of preconception care services to address maternal and child health and other public health challenges in developed and emerging economies

Effect of Coating Thickness on Sound Absorption Property of Four Wood Species Commonly Used for Piano Soundboards

Effects of polyurethane (PU) coating thicknesses (0.15, 0.30, 0.45, and 0.60 mm) on sound absorption coefficients of four wood species were investigated using the standing wave ratio method with an input sound vibration frequency range set between 125 and 4000 Hz. Wood species of four specific gravity (SG) levels were Korean spruce, European spruce, Sitka spruce, and Picea brachytyla. Experimental results indicated that PU coating can significantly increase sound absorption coefficients of higher SG species such as Sitka spruce and Picea brachytyla in all tested frequency levels, but this significant increase was not observed in lower SG species such as Korean and European spruces when tested in the frequency range from 800 to 2000 Hz. Effects of coating thickness on sound absorption coefficients of four evaluated species were found to interact with wood SG values and input sound vibration frequency ranges. Specifically, coating 0.30-mm-thick PU on Korean and European spruces tends to result in significantly lower sound absorption coefficients among the ones coated with four evaluated thicknesses when tested at the frequency less than 800 Hz, but PU coating thickness resulting in lower sound absorption coefficients on Sitka spruce and Picea brachytyla was 0.15 mm. Sitka spruce and Picea brachytyla coated with 0.30- and 0.6-mm-thick PU had lower sound absorption coefficients when tested at the frequency ranging from 1000 to 2000 Hz. When tested at the frequency greater than 2500 Hz, sound absorption coefficients of four coated species increased as coating thickness increased from 0.30 to 0.60 mm with an increment of 0.15 mm, but these four species coated with three thicker PU had significantly lower sound absorption coefficients than the ones coated with 0.15-mm-thick PU. The uncoated higher SG species tended to have lower sound absorption coefficients than uncoated lower SG ones when tested in the frequency ranging from 500 to 4000 Hz, but the differences were not found when tested under the frequency less than 400 Hz. Coating four species with different thicknesses of PU could alter their SG effects on their sound absorption coefficients

Exemplar-based Video Colorization with Long-term Spatiotemporal Dependency

Exemplar-based video colorization is an essential technique for applications like old movie restoration. Although recent methods perform well in still scenes or scenes with regular movement, they always lack robustness in moving scenes due to their weak ability in modeling long-term dependency both spatially and temporally, leading to color fading, color discontinuity or other artifacts. To solve this problem, we propose an exemplar-based video colorization framework with long-term spatiotemporal dependency. To enhance the long-term spatial dependency, a parallelized CNN-Transformer block and a double head non-local operation are designed. The proposed CNN-Transformer block can better incorporate long-term spatial dependency with local texture and structural features, and the double head non-local operation further leverages the performance of augmented feature. While for long-term temporal dependency enhancement, we further introduce the novel linkage subnet. The linkage subnet propagate motion information across adjacent frame blocks and help to maintain temporal continuity. Experiments demonstrate that our model outperforms recent state-of-the-art methods both quantitatively and qualitatively. Also, our model can generate more colorful, realistic and stabilized results, especially for scenes where objects change greatly and irregularly

A highly intense yellow-emitting phosphor Sr2-xBaxTiO4:Eu3+, Gd3+ peaking at 593–611 nm was synthesized by the sol-gel method. XRD and SEM show that the samples are single phase and have irregular shape. The excitation wavelength matches well with that of the emission of the blue-light-emitting diode. The emission peaks at 593 and 611 nm are attributed to the transitions from the 5D0-7F1 and 5D0-7F2 of Eu3+ ions, respectively. Gd3+ was used as sensitizer, aiming at increasing the luminous intensity. A certain amount of Sr2+ and Ba2+ is contributed to the intensity of light emission

Promoting Rural Tourism in Inner Mongolia: Attributes, Satisfaction, and Behaviors among Sustainable Tourists

    Get PDF
With the growth of rural tourism in China, this study aims to determine the destination attributes, tourism satisfaction, and intention of revisiting Inner Mongolia. This study also investigated the mean comparison of tourist satisfaction and revisit intention across domestic tourists’ demographic characteristics. Structural analysis revealed that destination attributes have a positive influence on satisfaction and revisit intention. In addition, the result of the mean difference test showed that satisfaction is significantly different between male and female tourists, and revisit intention significantly varies across the season. Our findings have an excellent directive significance to bring forward rural tourism in Inner Mongolia

Study on Informational Transaction and Its Effect on China's Stock Index Futures Market

Information is one of the important factors that influence the behavior of investors and then have an effect on the price of the risky assets in the market. Firstly, the new procedure developed by Easley et al. (2011) is used to estimate the Volume-Synchronized Probability of Informed Trading (VPIN) of the Chinese stock index futures market. Then VPIN for special scenarios is depicted. As a result, we find that the future contracts generally have a larger number of information transactions. We also find that, for particular scenarios, the probability of informed trading in the market has obvious exceptions. The larger proportion of informed trader is, the higher the volatility of the price is
