Research and Application on Traffic Safety Education to Migrant Workers

    Get PDF
AbstractThere are more and more migrant workers in the cities, which brings higher risks in urban transportation. This paper discusses what proper traffic safety education is for migrant workers. It describes the traffic safety awareness, knowledge and behavior of migrant workers by focus group and observation. With such kinds of survey, this paper analyzes the population characteristics and travel behavior of migrant workers, finds the cause of their travel behavior and what content and form of traffic safety education they need. Then these findings are put in practice. A traffic safety education activity for migrant workers is held in Shandong Province, which works well. The final results show that migrant workers have weak awareness of traffic safety, less knowledge of transportation and many bad travel behaviors. Migrant workers prefer education with real stories and pictures

English Cooperative Learning Mode in a Rural Junior High School in China

Cooperative learning is one of the most recognized and fruitful research areas in modern education practice. It has been widely used in many countries as an effective teaching strategy to improve class efficiency and students’ comprehensive language ability since the 1990’s. This paper takes JA Junior High School, a rural junior high school in Nantong, China, as a case to explore its English cooperative learning mode. A questionnaire was designed based on nine factors namely learning expectation, learning interest, learning initiative, emotional experience, cooperative awareness, cooperative ability, learning effectiveness, learning evaluation and English usage level. The purpose is to try to find whether gender, grade and academic achievements have an effect on English cooperative learning. 515 valid questionnaires were collected and analyzed by t-test and One-way ANOVA. After analysis, it turned out that these three factors have an impact on the effectiveness of English cooperative learning. The results showed that the differences of gender, grade and academic achievements should be taken into consideration in accordance with the characteristics of rural middle school in constructing the English cooperative learning mode

On the security of an identity-based authenticated group key agreement protocol for imbalanced mobile networks

Recently, Islam and Biswas proposed a pairing-free identity-based authenticated group key agreement protocol for imbalanced mobile networks. However, in this letter, we point out that this protocol cannot resist passive attack, and cannot provide forward secrecy for joining operation and backward secrecy for leaving operation

Phosphorus is an essential mineral for aquatic animals to maintain the health of the skeletal system and many physiological functions. This study assessed the effects of two inorganic phosphorus sources on growth performance, apparent phosphorus digestibility, whole-body proximate composition, and physiological status in juvenile *Pelodiscus sinensis*. Two experimental diets were supplemented with 4% calcium phosphate monobasic (MCP) and 5.47% calcium phosphate dibasic (DCP), respectively, to obtain equal total dietary phosphorus (2.20%). 96 turtles (initial body weight: 5.40±0.03g) were randomly distributed into 12 tanks and fed the corresponding diets for 60d. Results showed that phosphorus sources have not significantly influenced the growth parameters, including the specific growth rate, feeding rate, and feed conversion ratio (*P*\>0.05). No significant differences were observed in the hepatosomatic index and whole-body proximate compositions between MCP and DCP groups (*P*\>0.05). The apparent digestibility coefficients of dry matter and phosphorus in MCP group (53.22%) are slightly higher than that in DCP group (48.98%) but did not reach the statistically significant level (*P* \> 0.05). Turtles in MCP and DCP groups are the same in plasma physiological parameters and have equal alkaline phosphatase activities in plasma and liver (*P*\>0.05). In conclusion, calcium phosphate monobasic and calcium phosphate dibasic had the same biological phosphorus availability in diet for juvenile *Pelodiscus sinensis*
