Manapság a pénzügyi szektor egyre nagyobb figyelmet szentel a legkisebb pénzügyi szereplőnek, a lakossági befektetőnek. Az új szabályozások igyekeznek egyre több oldalról elősegíteni a kiegyenlített versenyt és az átláthatóságot. Mindezek fényében született meg a lakossági befektetési csomagtermékekkel és biztosítási alapú befektetési termékekkel kapcsolatos kiemelt információkat tartalmazó dokumentumokról szóló rendelet (továbbiakban: PRIIPs rendelet), mely alapvetően a megelőzést, a lakossági befektetők jobb tájékoztatását és a termékek összehasonlíthatóságának megvalósítását tűzte ki célul. Jelen cikk a PRIIPs rendelet szabályozási folyamatát, a rendeletben előírt kiemelt információkat tartalmazó dokumentum (továbbiakban: KID) egyes részeit, valamint az új megközelítés jelentőségét igyekszik bemutatni. A cikk ezen témában korábban a Biztosítás és Kockázat hasábjain megjelent cikket (Lencsés–Paál, II. évf. 3. szám) is kiegészíti, alapvetően a KID-re vonatkozó részletszabályokra összpontosít, és nem tér ki részletesebben a szabályozási csomag alapját képező PRIIPs rendeletre. | Nowadays the financial sector also pays more attention to the smallest financial player, the retail investor and the new regulatory initiatives seek to ensure level playing field and transparency. These all influenced the adoption of the Regulation on key information documents for packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs), which aims to further improve the information provided to retail investors as well as better comparability of PRIIP products. This article gives an overview on the regulatory procedure that led to the adoption of the new rules, on the content of the key information document (KID) and tries to shed further light on the significance of the new framework. It complements an earlier article (Lencses-Paal, II. 3.) on this topic published in Biztosítás és Kockázat as it focuses on the new rules related to the KID and not on the PRIIPs Regulation itself

Generalizing from workplace ethnographies - from induction to theory

Two modes of generalizing from the large set of workplace ethnographies now in existence are compared. These are the results of the Workplace Ethnography (WE) data set and holistic modeling (HM) based on a more theoretically driven project. In the treatment of specific cases, there is impressive complementarity between the two. But the WE data fail to capture some key features of leading studies, because they do not treat cases holistically. They might also be developed by including studies not included to date. A more explicit theoretical approach offers some firmer grounds for generalizing, and new directions for comparative ethnographies arise
