A Mathematica Interface for FormCalc-generated Code
This note describes a Mathematica interface for Fortran code generated by
FormCalc. The interfacing code is set up automatically so that only minuscule
changes in the driver files are required. The interface makes a function to
compute the cross-section or decay rate available in Mathematica. This function
depends on the model parameters chosen for interfacing in the Fortran code.Comment: 6 page
News from FormCalc and LoopTools
The FormCalc package automates the computation of FeynArts amplitudes up to
one loop including the generation of a Fortran code for the numerical
evaluation of the squared matrix element. Major new or enhanced features in
Version 5 are: iterative build-up of essentially arbitrary phase-spaces
including cuts, convolution with density functions, and uniform treatment of
kinematical variables. The LoopTools library supplies the one-loop integrals
necessary for evaluating the squared matrix element. Its most significant
extensions in Version 2.2 are the five-point family of integrals, and complex
and alternate versions.Comment: 5 pages, to appear in the proceedings of the 7th International

Genetic diversity and pathogenicity of the grey mould fungus Botrytis
Genetic diversity and pathogenicity of the grey mould fungus Botrytis
Botrytis spp., causes pre- and postharvest decay on strawberry crops. Botrytis spp. isolates from several German strawberry-growing fields, which received several fungicide treatments against Botrytis per season, were analyzed to determine their sensitivity against botryticides.Universidad de Malaga. Core inflation in the Euro area: an application of the generalized dynamic factor model
Since the second half of the nineties the euro area has been subject to a considerable accumulation of temporary and idiosyncratic price shocks. Core inflation indicators for the euro area are thus of utmost interest. Based on euro area-wide data core inflation in this paper is analyzed by means of an indicator derived from the generalized dynamic factor model. This indicator reveals that HICP inflation strongly exaggerated both the decline as well as the increase in the price trend in 1999 and 2000/2001. Our results reinforce those achieved by Cristadoro, Forni, Reichlin and Versonese (2001) based on euro area country data which indicates the robustness of the indicator. Klassifikation: C33, E3
An Examination of the Occurrence of Divorce and Social and Demographic Factors within Chicago
This research looks at the occurrence of divorce among Cook County-Chicago census tracts from data gathered from the 2006-2010 American Community Survey (ACS) of the U.S. Census Bureau. Previous research has looked at various factors believed to affect the divorce rate of a country, in particular the economic development, average educational attainment, and participation of women in the labor force. These past studies have often found a significant and positive correlation between divorce and a country\u27s economic development, educational attainment, and participation of women in the labor force. However, these studies have mostly focused on cross-national boundaries, thus allowing for greater disregard for cultural norms and differences across countries. This study, then, examines divorce as it is found within a diverse city (known historically for its segregation) of a single nation. Occurrence of divorce is mapped along with various demographic information such as race, income level, educational attainment, and nativity, and then spatially analyzed
