Logging activities have an impact on changes in composition and standing structure, tree species distribution, community similarity and species diversity. This study aims to determine the diversity of structures and standing composition of logged-over forests. The results show that the composition and structure of the stands are ecologically different, which is indicated by the low type of species equality index. The types of stands at the level of seedlings, stakes, columns and trees from each location are almost all different. But there are some of the same types encountered dominating on the locations of 2005, 2010 and 2015 such as Shorea leprosula, Dipterocarpus borneensis, Shorea laevis, Litsea sp. The stand density at the 2005 block location is higher than the two sites in 2010 and 2015, while the location of 2015 is the location with the lowest stand density

Paraffin Problem Treating Along the Flowline (Study Case: From Wellhead “X” to the Separator”)

Paraffin deposition becomes a problem in the crude oil transportation system in surface production facilities, especially in oilfield flowline. The cause is big pressure drop which can inhibit the fluid flow rate. Paraffin problem occurrence is affected by specific factors, such as crude oil characteristics, flowing pressure and oil temperature drop below the oil pour point. From the parameter mentioned before, the potential of experiencing paraffin deposition in the flowline from the wellhead to the separator needs to be analyzed. From the physical properties analysis, paraffin deposition occurs when the temperature is decreased below the oil pour point (43 OC). In this case, the wellhead temperature is 65 OC. Paraffin problem countermeasures are being done by installing insulation along the flowline to resolve the fluid heat loss. If the previous countermeasure method could not solve the problem, a sand heater is needed to be installed to heat up the fluid inside the flowline in a certain point of distance

Identifikasi Portofolio, Strategic Sourcing Dan Pengukuran Ketersediaan Layanan Ti Pada PT Pln (Persero) Wilayah Sumatera Selatan, Jambi, Dan Bengkulu

PT. PLN Wilayah Sumsel, Jambi dan Bengkulu banyak menggunakan layanan TI agar dapat mengelola proses bisnisnya dengan baik. Tidak adanya suatu mekanisme pengukuran kinerja pihak ketiga membuat Perusahaan kesulitan mengukur kinerja pihak ketiga. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengatasi berbagai permasalahan yang ada di PT. PLN Wilayah Sumsel, Jambi dan Bengkulu. Tahap pertama penelitian ini akan dilakukan dengan menjabarkan strategi dengan analisis SWOT, yang menghasilkan portofolio layanan TI. Tahap selanjutnya adalah pemberian rekomendasi mengenai strategic sourcing dalam membangun layanan TI Perusahaan dengan menganalisis kondisi Perusahaan saat ini. Pada tahap akhir penelitian akan dijabarkan mengenai mekanisme pengukuran ketersediaan layanan TI dengan kerangka kerja COBIT 4.1 sub segmen DS1. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh portofolio layanan TI yang secara efektif dapat mendukung Perusahaan. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan temuan yang menunjukkan bahwa Perusahaan belum mampu mengelola sendiri layanan TI secara internal, sehingga pengembangan layanan TI sebaiknya dilakukan melalui outsourcing. Formulasi mengenai SLA juga diusulkan dalam penelitian ini agar dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kinerja pengelola layanan TI Perusahaan. PT. PLN Region Sumsel, Jambi and Bengkulu use IT services in order to properly manage its business processes. The absence ofa mechanism for third-party performance measurement make it difficult to measure the performance of third parties.This study aimed to address the various problems that exist in there. The first phase of this research will be done by outlining strategies with SWOT analysis, which produces a portfolio of IT services. The next stage is the provision of recommendations on the strategic sourcing in developing IT services in the company by analyzing the current condition of the company. In the final stage of research, we will clarify the mechanisms in measuring the availability of IT services with COBIT 4.1framework, DS1 sub segments. From the research results obtained a portfolio of IT services that can effectively support the company. The study also produced findings that shows the company has not been able to manage their own IT services internally, so the development of IT services should be done through outsourcing. Formulation of the SLA is also proposed in this study, so that can be used to measure the performance of IT service management company

Lembaga ini, juga dipenuhi dengan ribuan (puluhan ribu) orang dari berbagai latar belakang masyarakat yang berbeda, sedang nilai-nilai dalam masyarakat sering berubah cukup cepat. Sekolah atau agama merupakan wadah pengolah nilai. Lalu, bagaimana dengan Sekolah, Lembaga Pendidikan atau Perguruan Tinggi Kristen? Lembaga ini menyandang dua kekuatan ("sekolah" dan "kristen") bukankah seharusnya lembaga ini menjadi lembaga pengolah nilai, sumber nilai dan lembaga yang memiliki kerangka nilai yang prima. Institutional has an important role in supporting the people's forest management. The institution started from a group which has the same characteristics and purpose. The purpose of this study is to know the institutional system of forest farmer groups in the forest management, such as land management activities, structural and cultural aspects, institutional objectives, membership and leadership, and institutional capacity in the Rumanis Village, Pertumbuken Village, and Sikab Village. The results of this research showed that the land management activities include: land cleanup and nurseries, weeding, replanting, thinning, and fertilization. Leader in select based professionalism owned by the leadership. Institutional system of forest farmers groups in district of Barusjahe has the same purpose to reduce deforestation and made members better. Contouring Performance Study of a Fuzzy-based Practical Controller on an X-Y Table

This article presents a contouring performance of an improved practical fuzzy-based nominal characteristic trajectory following (NCTF) controller. The proposed fuzzy-based NCTF controller structure for continuous motion control is slightly different from the normal NCTF controller. It is composed of a nominal characteristic trajectory (NCT) and a fuzzy compensator designed using the practical design approach. Therefore, simple and easy of controller design are maintained. The NCT constructed through establishing procedure and the Mamdani type fuzzy compensator is designed according to the available information provided by NCT and the hardware specification. The contouring performance was evaluated by measuring the response of the system providing circle shape through simulation. The simulation result shows that the controller is promising as a practical controller for continuous motion

Analisis Dan Profil Tingkat Kebugaran Mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Mesin Dan Industri Universitas Gadjah Mada YOGYAKARTA

Aerobic fitness can be used as a health indicator. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Body Mass Index,gender, and physical activity on the aerobic fitness. Twenty females and 27 males students in range of 20 ± 1.2 yearsold, height 164 ± 8.95 cm, and weight 58.23 ± 9.5 kg that meet inclusion criteria were used as subject that measuredin Ergonomics Laboratory Gadjah Mada University within room temperature 25-26oC and 40-50% in humidity.Four methods of indirect measurement (VO2max as an output) is used to measure aerobic fitness: nonexercise skinfoldmeasurements and Body Mass Index, Astrand bicycle, treadmill, and the fitness index Harvard Step Test performed ondifferent days. The results showed that gender (rs = 0.838 on the nonexercise BMI) and BMI (rs = -0.677 on the Astrandmethod) effect on aerobic fitness. The average value of VO2max (ml.kg-1.min in-1) is achieved from each method. Formale, Astrand bicycle = 53.24 ± 7.82, treadmill = 38.43 ± 9, 05, BMI = 44.85 ± 3.45, 42.49 ± 3.38 = skinfold.
